The worse camera in history
The worse camera in history, can only connect to Wifi for 10 min then the connection drops, I'm sick and tired of resetting and re-connecting. The red light is on permenantly and this thing can only record when it is connected to WiFi, otherwise no recording. What a joke! A HIGHLY unreliable device, DO NOT BUY or BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
I'm going to throw away junk,
I have a ezviz camera more then 5 hours working on fu...camera to connect to the wifi,
I'm going to throw away junk, I've had a headache since I started to regret gaining weight...
Steer Clear of This piece of Rubbish
I've been involved in IT since it's earliest days so I'm not new when it comes to installing items such as EZVIZ door cam, but the guide provided for the installation of the EZVIZ DB1C is possibly the worse I've ever come across. You won't be surprised to discover that not a hint is provided that a £90 professional installation is strongly recommended before you've purchased the damn thing, it's only after purchase that you're made aware of this important fact.
Not only is the brief installation and user manual supplied with the camera wholly inadequate, but what the manual tells you're supposed to see on the Ezviz app screen and what you actually see on the screen bear little relation to one another. When running the app, pages after page pop up without a hint of what you're supposed to do or write. For example, no mention is made is made in the manual about the fingerprint recognition system (which doesn't work) used for logging in. As a further example of slap-dash packaging, the security plate covering for the SD card slot is secured with two grub screws but no suitable screwdriver with the correct bit is provided to remove the cover to enable you to insert the SD card, and yet, for some bizarre reason, you're provided with a masonry drill complete with wall plugs and screws for fixing the camera to brickwork, when in fact, in the vast majority of cases the camera will be fixed to the front door. Most unsettling of all is that calls on my mobile are routed through the door cam. For what possible reason would I want my private calls to be heard on the device fixed outside on my front door!!!! This even happens when the cam is not connected to the power supply. Again, no mention anywhere at all in the user guide as to how to disable this function.
You have been warned. Waste your money on this piece of rubbish and it'll end up languishing in the drawer.
The unit works for capturing photos but…
The unit works for capturing photos but the connectivity sucks and the battery is swelling and the display fell off after only 2 years of use.
Always off line
Always off line, a.l.w.a.y.s…! Doesn’t matter what model. Maybe a really poor low powered antenna?
Spend more money and get better cameras. The quality is ok, easy to use. If you can hardwire Ethernet then ok but WiFi, they always go offline and then you have to unplug and plug in or reset and reconnect. I’m replacing all 4 of mine with something better.
Why the bad reviews?
What's with the bad reviews? I love my little ezviz camera. Exactly what I need at my cat flap. I've set it so the alarm goes off when a stray cat tries to come in. My cat is used to it so doesn't get concerned. The software was easy to set up especially the partial detection area. Love it. And also paid a £4.99 subscription to watch recorded footage when on holiday. My cat stayed in her own home free to come and go with a friendly neighbour popping in to feed her. Just peace of mind.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would! Don't set up a subscription because they still take money even when you cancel. Still emailing back and forth trying to cancel ... robbers
Is 30 Days No-Hassle Return true?
I ordered a C1C-B camera from its official online store. It didn't come with an invoice or receipt, either in the package or in an email. I contacted an agent Arron with online chat of the online store, he asked me talk to "direct seller" while the online store sold me the camera and the Online Chat was from the online store!
Then I asked for a customer service number, I was given a page where 1-437-887-3548 was listed for Canada market. However it looks like a fake number. I called it at 10:50am EST, Wed, Apr 10, but it played an automatic recording saying the office closed for holiday.
An invoice or a receipt is a common practice for business. It was first time so hard to get a receip for online shopping. I'm scared for tech support in the future in case a technical issue happens, and would return the camera.
I asked for RMA and shipping label with the "30 Days No-Hassle Return Policy". The EZVIZ CA Shop Team replied customer has to pay the shipping.
What a "No-Hassle"!
Absolutely shocking service
Absolutely shocking service. I pay monthly for subscription to record my device. My second device has SD card. The SD CARD device stopped recording out of the blue a few months ago and was told by customer services this was my issue. Although I knew this was not the case I continued to pay my subscription for the other device and now this has stopped recording also. After contacting Ezviz they again blamed me. There’s perfect wifi signal on the channel it’s supposed to run on yet they still will not take responsibility for their services not working as they should. They take 48 hours to reply to any emails and when they do eventually reply they reply with utter nonsense and a screen shot of their instructions. They refuse to refund the money I have paid for a service I’ve not received. Avoid this company !!!!!
I wish I had read the reviews before buying!
The battery did not last anyware near as long as claimed by the manufacturer, I contacted EZVIS support but they didn’t even bother replying!!
Item returned to supplier for a full refund.
2nd camera will not charge
2nd camera I've purchased both stopped charging around a year after buying. Battery lasts around a month when it charged. One camera keeps disconnecting from WiFi despite being around 15ft away. Customer service to not respond.
Do not purchase HB8 cameras
Bought a HB8 camera but omit has been very disappointing. It doesn't get triggered quickly enough, the movement tracking is too slow, and the biggest issue is that disarming the cameras do not turn off the sound alarm; it needs to be done manually every single time through the settings. To top it all off, the team of customer support agents do not seem to know this level fo detail and just end up wasting customers' time. I do not recommend Ezviz cameras.
No good if u got 5g..as on some older…
No good if u got 5g..as on some older cameras 2018 only works on 2.4mhz. which Ive upgraded to 5g...making camera inoperable...Ezviz behind with technology and no upgrades
Cameras never reliably stay online
Cameras never reliably stay online, they ALWAYS need to be reset and reconfigured. Absolutely useless. Wish I never went with these.
Great product with excellent customer service.
I am quite surprised at the negative reviews here?!
Certainly problems occur but in my experience following protocol with Ezviz upon submitting a fault query with an Ezviz camera I found an absolute ease!
I have several Ezviz of varying specifications. Their apps are excellent the hardware too. In actual fact my first choice has always been Ezviz. Their support is second to none. I recently had a power fault with my TY1 camera having spoken with their support staff submitted a short video with purchase invoice as requested received a replacement camera within days. If you are considering a webcam do look at Ezviz you will be pleasantly surprised, good Customer service is hard to find these days Ezviz have it along with excellent products. Thanks for reading.
The worst experience I have ever had…
The worst experience I have ever had from a company absolutely absolutely absolutely. Would not touch them with a bargepole... Please be advised they take your credit/debit card detales. Before you can even use their products and then you have to read the small print..? As they will take money from your card without your permission because you have subscribed.... When installing their app please you have been Please, you have been warned.
EZVIZ BC1-B2 do not fullfil IP66
EZVIZ BC1-B2, 2 cameras with a base unit bought early 2022. Both cameras installed outdoor in Japan. Japan has high humidity (60-90%) and high temperature in summertime (35C+). The first camera gave up spring 2023. It seemed to have humidity inside. After drying indoors the picture became slightly better but not good. Today I noticed camera #2 had the same problem. The cameras are specified IP66. This can for sure not be true. Do not recommend these cameras for outdoor use in climate with high humidity and high temperatures.
