Disgusting commerical behaviour

Outcome: I contacted my bank NatWest who refunded me both payments totalling £120. Fabletics-why why why are you acting like this?? Why not just be a transparent easy to deal with company and you will get the business. Anyone checking your online reviews before they buy will not buy. It’s not 2006, those sneaky tactics are well in the past.

My daughter ordered some clothes from Fabletics but didn't realise she had signed up for the VIP membership. Two sneaky payments of £60.00 were taken before the payments were stopped. I emailed them, and the copy-and-paste reply didn't address my concerns at all. They simply said the monthly payments were cancelled. Nothing about a refund I requested. Filed a credit card chargeback. Stay away.

Misleading

I would actually give this company a minus! They are a total rip off. Please DO NOT use them they charge you a subscription with out you knowing. You DO NOT get an email and it COSTS YOU £60 PER MONTH. Which is on an auto renew monthly subscription. You only get between 1st to 5th of each month to pause. If you do not get an email, you do not know!!!! ANGRY 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

VIP is a scam

It’s a shame I have been a customer for 2years or more I have bought numerous items from them but never pay the full price as it is unrealistic for the product you get, whilst the shape and material is lovely the seems on the leggings end up with holes after a while and you have to sew them! The sale items are never in your size! The VIP membership is a scam, you pay £54.99 every month if you don’t remember to skip for something not worth that! They will refund you a couple of times but after that you have to use your credits and they won’t refund, it’s a shame they would have so many more customers if they didn’t have this VIP scam! I’m now leaving them because of the hassle of having to monitor your account monthly!

The biggest scam going

The biggest scam going. They lure you in with cheap prices and then count on you forgetting to skip the month and then charge you 55 pounds for a token that gets you a £10 short and t-shirt combo.

I found the website very glitchy and…

I found the website very glitchy and hard to navigate. I am only interested in bottoms that are in stock in my size and short. There was no option for this.

Fabletics is a scam!

What a scam! I do like the leggings that I have purchased from Fabletics but the whole thing is a scam. You sign up and they charge you £55 each month unless you remember to skip this. I skipped this month and it obviously didn't go through properly as I have still been charged. If it was worth it I wouldn’t mind but Im currently stuck with 3 credits which I would love to use but the VIP special outfits are limited in size, colour and style and I will not use a credit to order something of significantly lesser value then the £55 I have paid for the credit. What is the benefit of this membership?? The VIP special outfits are obviously the last season end of line stock that they are trying to get rid of and a lot of items are in large sizes. They take your money up front and then it is very difficult to use it. Very strange business model which seems like a scam. I contacted them to get this resolved and they desperately try to get you to stay with the membership. Such a shame but for me I may as well order something I actually want from a different brand!

I cancelled my membership to avoid…

Edited!

I cancelled my membership to avoid being charged, but I was still charged.
Initially, customer support only provided a generic policy response and then stopped responding, which made it feel like I was being ignored.
However, after some time, another representative got in touch and handled the situation properly. In the end, I received my refund.
The outcome was eventually resolved, but the process and initial support experience were disappointing.

Caught in auto renewal clause because…

Caught in auto renewal clause because they changed the terms of their cancellation. It's more 30 days to take effect locking you into paying the 59.99 subscription fee. When using your credit the prices are so inflated and if you are not using the credit it would cost a fraction of the price. Absolute robbery by this company. Such a great product but sad to see a company being greedy and tricking people into auto renewals. I won't be returning to fabeletics sadly. You've lost a customer that's been buying for years!

Bad business... Would never recommend

I bought from Fabletics then they took a payment from my account for a membership £59.99 ... I cancelled & then they took it again.

Trying to speak to anyone was ridiculous & trying to get an answer I was pushed from pillar to post.

I would never recommend buying anything from them & never will I use them again... Disgusting

It is very easy to find something…

It is very easy to find something wonderful on the site to tempt me to part with a VIP credit BUT every time I go to pay I have to re input card details as the checkout does not remember the billing address. It happens every time. Is it me?

Good quality clothes, poor user interface

Navigation on their website is awful, making it take 3 times as long as you'd want to choose something. I wouldn't even call it a marketing strategy to make you browse their other items because it's just issues with out of stock sizes and inseams even when you've set the filter. I have however bought their shorts and underwear multiple times and have always been impressed by the build quality. I've had some of the shorts for 4 years now and the only signs of wear is the stamped logo starting to fade and peel, nothing wrong with the fabric itself though. Their method of subscribing to VIP access and being charged monthly for a store credit unless you opt out is definitely weird and a questionable strategy ethically. I've gotten quite adept at remembering to skip the month every time now, but the website is clearly designed to make navigation to this annoying and difficult, with multiple confirmations to skip along with quite a lot of scrolling down pages to actually find each part to click on to do so.

Can't Cancel!

I cancelled my subscription in December and remembered to skip in January as suggested and skipped again in February just to be sure. Then I was charged in March!. I've had to make another purchase to use the Credit I didn't want so I can try to cancel again. Whilst I like the lounge products it just isn't good value anymore and seems impossible to exctricate from

A serious con

A real con. I do not know how they get away with it.

When you buy your ‘good value’ sportswear, you end up with a membership that then costs £60 a month. I struggled to cancel (the cancellation is hidden in the depths of the website - ended up using AI to guide me through cancelling). They say you can skip a month, but there is a very small (4day) window when you can do this and in that window the skip a month button was not valid on my profile. I blocked them through the credit card, but they still took money via paypal, you can’t block them on paypal as they are a monthly purchase and not a subscription

I tried to contact them so I reached out on whatsapp and they only manage 2 messages a day (during which they begged me not to leave and offered ‘special discounts’ to stay) and then don’t finish the cancellation as their working day ended before the issue was resolved. I tried to ring several times to be 20+ in the queue and unable to get through before the line rings off.

Hard to skip the month, in a small window. Once you leave you have to give 30 days notice and they still took money. Blocked through my bank and they got it through my paypal.

The sportswear is not worth the advertised value (cheap at best).

Basically, we offer a guest checkout for customers who do not wish to become part of the VIP program, as well as a VIP checkout for those who want to enjoy the full benefits of the membership. When our customers check out as a VIP, we ensure our policy regarding the subscription is visible both before and after the order is placed.

We apologize if the skipping process has been inconvenient for you. We try to make it as easy as possible by sending monthly reminders, and we also advise our customers to set a reminder on their phones a method many of our VIPs find helpful. Even if you are unable to skip by yourself, you can reach out to us via chat, email, phone, or WhatsApp, and we will be more than happy to assist you. The "Skip" button is available on the homepage between the 1st and the 5th of every month.

Regarding the delay in messages, we would like to clarify that we are sometimes busier than usual, but please be reassured that we are doing our best to assist every customer promptly. This is why we offer a variety of contact channels as mentioned.
