Mo dealt with my initial enquiry on an exchange of guitars in a prompt and professional manner.

Once a deal was agreed the written confirmation was clear and the guitar exchanged received by me as agreed, set up and properly packaged.

A little bit late, but a really good experience with these guys. I was able to make an informed decision buying a Yamaha CP73 also exchanged my fantoms X6 as a part of the deal. The whole exchange was straight forward. Really happy the the board at a great price.

I traded in 3 amps in exchange for a new column array. I thought the deal was fair and the whole process was very smooth

After another visit to fairdeal music I brought myself a gretch hollowbody guitar and a fender blues junior amp two more checkboxes ticked in the gear I've always wanted to own department
After buying an evh bumblebee and not getting on with it I rook it back and exchanged it for a marshall studio sv20h combo.
Smithy was excellent as always I rung him and told him I wasn't getting on with the evh and I wanted to exchange it and we worked out the deal there and then.
I really can not fault fairdeal music in any way shape or form .the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and are always willing to help the customer even to the point of ringing them up and asking how do I solve this problem After the goods have been delivered.
Again I will say this if you are a beginner or pro and you live in the Birmingham area make fairdeal music your no1 music shop

Very helpful sales assistants. Reasonable part exchange prices. Would have got 5 stars except received a guitar which had not be checked over , set up , new strings etc ...which I find unacceptable for a 1600 used guitar!!

I wanted to do an exchange with FDM - a couple of my very good and quite valuable guitars for one extremely good and highly valuable guitar. They were incredibly helpful and took my request on board, coming back to me with a very acceptable offer. And so we had a deal, and one which was good for both parties. Fantastic service, incredibly knowledgeable staff and great prices.
My Sandberg used TM4 was set up to perfection for my style of playing by Jay
and he gave an incredible part exchange price on my bass. I will be visiting Fair Deal music to purchase all my guitar’s plus keyboards in the near future.

Where do I start.... I hired a van and made a very long journey from the north west coast to do a deal with 'Fair Deal Music' in Birmingham for a guitar advertised on their website, that being a PRS Studio 22 in Tiger Yellow. Long story short the Tiger Yellow wasn't there when I got there. 
With the benefit of hindsight I should have pulled the deal right there and then but I had the aforementioned hire van and fuel to pay for.

I was persuaded by salesman Mo to take a Black Goldburst instead; beautiful looking guitar to be honest but as with people looks can be very deceiving.
I really didn't have time to try the guitar (big mistake) due to time pressures caused by a 2 hr delay on the M6, I had to be in Sheffield at a specific time on my way home.

Anyway, I made sure that all of my trade ins were in immaculate condition which salesman Mo very quickly compared to random second hand prices on the internet. He scribbled figures down on a piece of paper and with zero transparency whatsoever slashed those second hand prices by 70% so that Fair Deal makes 50% profit and even charged me the vat ( cheeky b8692rd ). 
I appreciate the store has to survive, nevertheless this was clearly a rip off job. 

When I get home and play the 3K prs guitar, it's an absolute pig that won't stay in tune, the action is high and saddles already at maximum low and has string pinging at the nut. 
Don’t get me started on the £50 Thomann case they had the cheek to fob me off with, the badge had been taken off and the glue stain still visible to this day where it used to be. 

Anyway I contacted 'Fair Deal' to return the guitar for a £3K refund but was point blank turned down "as it was a part exchange deal" said salesman Mo and we couldn't possibly give you that amount of money back for it. Work that one out ! also insisted to undo the deal I would have to pay for ALL returns, six guitars (apart from my 92 Gibson LPGT which was so nice it sold immediately ) a combo amp and pedals also including the wrongly advertised prs they sold to me for 3K. 

Never felt like a Fair Deal to me. I'm in my late 60’s with a pacemaker, I just wanted to be treated fairly by 'Fair deal Music' and I don’t believe that I was.
I’m not angry about it anymore, I’ve been sitting on this review for a few months now I’m just very disappointed that I was given little choice to either pay for everything to be returned or to pay for the repair to the wrong guitar listed on their website. I went for the latter.
I just wanted others to be aware and not to rely on their staff to give you a FAIR DEAL.

If anyone from Fair deal Music responds to this, don’t go down the “we went the extra mile to try and make the customer happy. Because you didn’t, it was all on your terms.

A great service even though one cab was the wrong model they sorted an exchange on the day of delivery for the end of that week, mistakes happen when the do they sort it promptly

I bought a Squire Thinline Classic Vibe Telecaster remotely. Good advice over the phone, and it was sent out quickly. There was a small but critical QC issue with the first guitar. I called up and was offered the choice of exchange or refund without fuss. I went for an exchange, they picked up the first guitar quickly, the second guitar arrived about a week later, and the QC was spot on.

Bought a seagull performance guitar in part exchange for my Eastman acoustic.
Fair Deal arranged collection of my guitar then delivered the Seagull onwards.

Great service from start to finish! Last week I found a preowned Tele which i really wanted, and did a part-exchange with one of my guitars. The whole transaction went by smoothly. From my initial enquiry, my guitar was collected by DHL and the telecaster was delivered safely with DHL.

A relaxed and great experience!
Was interested in an old Gibson Les Paul and left £100 deposit, guitar was left aside until I made a decision on an exchange deal on an old Gibson 335 I owned.
Chatted and exchanged riffs with Gaz, great chinwag on guitars and life in general over a coffee!
Went back after mulling over and I decided the deal wasn’t for me, no pressure, no quibble and my deposit was returned!
Although that deal didn’t work out, Gaz ended up buying my 335 off of me for a good price there and then, they were happy, I was happy!👍
