Very Good for a budget Phone. But cant compare to the flagship phones of the big companies especially the camera. If you dont insist on a really good camera its a very good Phone overall.
Happy with Fairphone got five in the household now, replaced a charging port in one and a screen in another, any other brand would have meant a new phone, or awkward repair... Why everyone doesn't hav... See more

Disappointing warranty experience from a company I believed in
I have owned several Fairphones over the years, drawn in by the company's ethical mission — so much so that I've willingly overlooked certain shortcomings. Sadly, I've reached a point where I can no longer do that.
I recently sent my phone in for a warranty repair, only to be contacted by a third party demanding €210 to fix it — or €40 simply to have it returned unrepaired. Fairphone's position is that the damage constitutes misuse. I strongly disagree. This is a phone I've used in entirely normal, everyday situations, and it developed a fault it simply shouldn't have. In short: they sold me a phone that wasn't up to the job, and when it failed, they blamed me.
To make matters worse, the customer service throughout this process has been slow and unhelpful, making a frustrating situation even harder to navigate.
There is genuinely a lot to admire about Fairphone's values, and after a decade as a loyal customer, it pains me to write this. But an ethical company should treat its customers ethically too — and right now, that isn't happening. Unless this is resolved, I won't be buying a Fairphone again.

touchscreen freezes
The touchscreen on my smartphone has become increasingly unresponsive. The screen frequently freezes or reacts only with a noticeable delay to touch input. At times, commands are not recognized at all, or only after repeated tapping. This significantly affects the usability of the device and makes everyday use considerably more difficult. And I
have not received any response from customer support.

Bought a new Fairphone 6 wish I hadn't
Bought a new Fairphone 6
Waiting all day for delivery as per the tracking information and emails. Only to be informed they by UPS that Fairphone put the wrong postcode on the order.
Tried to contact Fairphone to raise a complaint only to realise they have no customer service numbers and no way to speak to any human.
I am happy to pay over the odds for a phone that is environmental and ethical but it seems they have changed their morals and following terrible corporate trends by chasing profits at the expense of their customers. This usually indicates they are probably underpaying their suppliers as well.

Terrible experience overpriced rubbish
I bought a fairphone 6 on the recommendation of a friend. I also bought the bumper case. 3 weeks in the battery was draining rapidly and was reducing by 20 percent overnight with everything off.
I raised a case ( the app crashes also so impossible to do so) I was asked for evidence and provided. This was 3 weeks ago I have not yet had a response.
In the meantime the button has fallen off the protective case so I can't take a screenshot. The 3 year old cheap Samsung it replaced was performing better at the end of its days

Not the greatest phone for the price
Not the greatest phone for the price. My friends already laugh with how much I complain about the battery, the camera, how slow it is, the bugs ... There is slight improvement with updates. Customer service is kind of helpful. I would not recommend, however, it is probably the fairest phone on the market.
Recommend, but be ready to do everything yourself
Fairphone 6 is a very good phone.
You can normally buy it from their web and you get nice shipping, cost. They have nice terms which actually work.
Only customer service is poor and very slow, when i try to solve software issues.
So i switched to /e/os and everything is fine.
If you want to buy a fairphone 6, buy it with /e/os. Fairphone's stock android is buggy, but /e/os works normally for daily use, and it is better than samsung.
I was truly excited...
I was genuinely excited about my Fairphone, but after three years this journey ends in disappointment.
I truly believe in what Fairphone stands for, but my Fairphone 4 has broken down again. Yes, it will be repaired, which is good, but I’ve decided to sell it as soon as it’s back. I’m done.
Out of necessity, I restarted my old Samsung (with a cracked screen, sitting unused for three years), and the difference in performance is honestly shocking. The Fairphone struggled to keep even two apps running at the same time. I’d be navigating with Google Maps while listening to a podcast, and a simple notification would kill the podcast. Or I’d be filling out a form, quickly switching to my banking app to check a number, only to return and find the browser reloaded and everything gone. It was incredibly frustrating. Going back to factory settings didn't help at all.
Now the phone has completely died and won’t start at all. I’ve been told to send it in for repairs, and I will, but not for myself. At this point, I’m just sad about the stress this phone has caused me.
To be fair: this time I received a response from support within a day. But in the past, I’ve had tickets closed without any reply after three months. Twice! So support is either quick or completely absent.
I really wish I could have written a more positive review.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEIR WEBSITE
Reposting this review so that it doesn't have the comment implying their support service works (it does not). I was often completely ghosted by the support service.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THEIR WEBSITE
They messed up the shipping forms for my order, it got held by UPS in customs for a week, then returned to sender. They did not do anything about this until the fourth email I'd sent where they said they'd reship the phone, seven hours later I follow up and they say they have not even asked for the reshipment yet. Makes me wonder what's going on in their offices.
My friend has one of their phones, which he bought in store and it seems like a good phone but absolutely do not order from their website it's absolute shambles and their customer service is completely useless.
Update:
16/04/2026, they still have not reshipped the order.
The original support staff I had was not at all helpful, very rarely responding to my tickets and being very vague about what the problems and delays were, hopefully the new member of staff I am talking to will be more helpful.
Update 2:
20/04/2026.
The new member of staff they assigned me never responded to me after initially opening the ticket (forgive me for expecting a response within 48 hours). I've decided to cut my losses, I've request a refund which they've said they're processing and I hope they'll actually provide. I hope this company goes out of business (after I get my refund).

In general
I have been using Fairphone 3 for 7 years - and it was a good experience (there were instances when the system would turn off and on due to weather temperature or something else). Fairphone will be phasing out 3 and 3+ versions this year, which is very understandable and unfortunate. It would be great to have the OS system running either longer or a discount offer to transition to a newer Fairphone longer. I hope to continue using this phone for another 3 years at least. I wish companies like Fairphone would get more customers, support from the government, or more investment, so that we all could continue supporting them in comparison to companies like Samsung or similar. Live long Fairphone!
Give them a try!
I'm a longtime Fairphone user, and have switched my entire family over to them. The ease of repair and the ability to replace components is a major part of the attraction, as is their commitment to sustainability. Their phones are perfectly decent, even if not high end. Give them a try!
Extrem schlechtes Kundenservice! Terrible customer support!
I’ve been using Fairphone since 2018 (FP2, FP3+, and FP4) and opened a ticket two months ago to ask Fairphone customer service whether repairing my current FP (problems with the microphone and a broken display) or buying a new FP would be the better option, and if it would to be a repair, I should at least be able to get information in advance about the costs and the duration of the repair. After two months, I still haven’t received any helpful response....
And as long as the ticket is open, there’s no way to get in touch with another, maybe more helpful person from the Fairphone customer service.

Quality video phone call catastrophic
I love the fact that is an European product and that every repair can be accessible to us. It's why I gave it a try.
But I am so disappointed about the front video camera. During camera phone call the quality is catastrophic. It's why I will probably ask a return and refund...
A lot of text that says nothing
The site does not contain any technical information about the phone, like cameras, the chipset, the memory, the sound, the comms, literally no technical detail, only crappy marketing for toddlers and the price, which is insanely high for a chunky phone. Then they mention Gemini and other AI crap.
They mention the /e/OS as Murena, but there is no info on it whatsoever.
Bottom line, all this looks like an indian scam, buy an expensive piece of crap on a 'trust me bro' basis, backed by AI generated 'great reviews'. No, thanks, I'll stick to the other way better products within the same price range.

Very happy with the service
Very happy with the service - quick and providing detailed information. The proof will be in the longevity of the phone I guess, but very happy so far!

Great product and customer service
Great product and customer service. Love the sustainable ethos. All still working well 9 months on.
Improve delivery please
I don't like the fact that I can only choose UPS for delivery because then it takes a long journey in the our capital to get to the pick-up point. The only have 2 or 3 pick-up points in the whole city!
could you please choose another provider for shipments who has more options?
Straightforward
Unable to contact Fairphone about dead phone only 6 monts old
I have tried repeatedly, through their website, to report to Fairphone that my 6 month old Fairphone 6 has completely failed. It will not charge.
The website is not fit for purpose and I cannot find a UK telephone number.
I paid the high cost for a Fairphone because it comes with a 5 year extended warranty and all the parts can be replaced by the purchaser. This is of no use if you cant contact Fairphone to report the problem
