why do my devices auto lock even whilst im not on them
this account is supervised, yes... and it's a bad experience, imagine you're 12 and you LOVE tech, this is the biggest issue, parents know how their kids use devices, we CANNOT be the same, this issue happens to me, for 10 to 12 year olds, this parenting system is pretty much "too" restrictive. if you're like me, please buy a new phone yourself, let is be a budget, let it work😭. get an account that's actually YOURS, I don't want to have my parents' account with my Profile Picture slapped on it
Useless app. Used to work well but they have totally destroyed it.
Despite locking my kid's phone, they can still access. Bonus time is 8 hours and when I remove the Bonus time, it jumps back up to 8 hours again.
What on earth have you done?
Shame I cant give zero stars!!
First install: I had to reset my device because it made my phone unusable
Because this blocks me from using AdBlockers, thanks to Family Link I get shown lots of not apropriative ads that i do not want to see. This app never really worked, is uneccersarilly complicated and weird. Also there are many workarrounds and this just makes it harder for the kids AND parents.
AND also this app invades privacy COMPLETELY. This is unreasonable and no one should have to go through having this app.
Used to be simple to use. Looks like someone's been tasked with improving it and made it way more complicated to find and use features
Annoying and useless parental control: bugs to bypass the restriction (unlimited time), apps closing for no reason, bugs putting the phone on pause right after I turn it on, and the worst part is that you don’t even need any tricks or hacks : it’s completely random.
It blocks all kinds of things that don't need to be blocked and if you want to get it off of the kid's phone, forget it, it's basically impossible.
Pretty nice, but please allow inspect AND fix this bug where I turn my screen off, but it continues the lock timer
The parental control is fully intergrated in Android. I have tried multiple parental control apps. My daughter always knew a way around it to partially use the phone. Familylink prevents her to use the phone all together. You can set timelimits for screentime and usetime per app. You can block apps. The only thing I would like is a list of approved phonenumbers for a locked phone. Now she can call all the phonenumbers in her phonebook.
not great.
my kid cant redeem gift cards,
and you have to go through a lot to send money to a
child's account.
