I have volunteered for Family Unit Trust for a while now and I am very impressed with the growth and community felt experiences. Always welcomed, assured and all feedback is taken on board. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead and to what the future holds for Family Unit Trust.
I was diagnosed of breast cancer and have no family member.One faithful day I heard a knock on my door in 2020 and today I have become not just a beneficiary but a volunteer.Thanks Family unit trust
The HAF has really helped my family and children keep to a structure over these holidays. My children really enjoy attending the session down at Family Unit Trust. They have made some new friends, learnt some new skills, played games and interacted physically more than they would have it at home. The HAF has given them a purpose to getting up in the mornings. As a family we're very grateful.
Also, I heard they have coffee mornings running through the week, along with a wellbeing session. Which sounds and looks amazing. A beautifully put together and safe space for anyone wanting a couple of hours if you time. Looking forward to giving it a try.

Family Unit Trust is truly one of the most dedicated and impactful organizations in Manchester. Their support for individuals and families navigating a cancer diagnosis is compassionate, practical, and deeply reassuring during tough times.
What makes them truly exceptional is how much more they do for the local area. From their befriending services and care for people living with disabilities to their engaging youth initiatives, they are constantly giving back to the community.
Serving Miles Platting and the surrounding areas (M40, M9, M11, M4, M35, M12, M43), they are a real lifeline for North and East Manchester. Highly recommend supporting or getting involved with this incredible team!
Family Unit Trust is a Cancer Charity in Miles Platting Manchester. Open 9 till 4 mon too Friday. (10 - 4pm on a tuesday) Saturdays dance class an food banks.open for people going through or have cancer but also anyone in the community who may need assistance or help/hardship etc.Helping families in the community covering areas like harpurhey blackley miles platting salford greater manchester.providing food banks kids activities during easter summer and winter holidays. Community cooking days Coffee mornings and dance classes all FREE. FREE food banks too. Volunteers/ staff polite and trained,focused keen to help trying not leaving anyone behind. Family trust is one of the best place l have trusted to leave my daughter. Rebecca has autism and considered non verbal . She loves the holiday club that every morning she will ask if she is going to school. They are very patient with her and they meet her needs. Everyone from the staff and children are like Rebecca is family. When l drop her she ran off me to the building with a big smile on her face.
My kids have had such a wonderful time at Family Trust. From day one, the energy, care, and enthusiasm from the staff have been outstanding. They offer a fantastic variety of engaging activities that keep the kids excited to go back every single time.
As a parent, what I appreciate most is the safe, welcoming, and supportive environment they’ve created. Seeing my children come home happy, confident, and full of stories about their day means everything.
If you are looking for a reliable, fun, and well run activity club for your kids, I cannot recommend Family Trust highly enough!
