If you need reliable hosting and quick and effective support is important to you, these guys should be your first port of call. They are Manchester based and very helpful. Mark responded quickly to my queries even though they were made during the holidays. Friendly too.
I was with my previous host for over 3 years, but they were recently bought out by a "big name" host. The service went down hill and I was forced to look for a new host for my managed VPS.
After trialling two of the "more well known" hosts and not liking their support (rent-a-support from overseas), I discovered Farbyte.
I chatted for around an hour with Paul on the chat system and for the first time during my search, I actually felt like someone was interested in answering my questions and would like my custom.
I took the plunge and ordered the VPS. It was all set up quickly, the emails from Mark were great and all-in-all - a really high standard. What really impressed me was the care and help Mark provided moving my sites from my old VPS to the new one. He was working all day and was a great help.
I would have no problem recommending Farbyte. It's nice to have proper support from people who actually care and not to go through two (or three) support agents who miss simple questions you ask.
