Please Avoid Booking with Farescan

I booked an international flight through Farescan and weeks later realized that I never got my e-ticket from them (first mess-up on their part). I called them and they apologized and finally sent me my ticket and told me “oh and btw your returning flight was canceled by the airline”. So basically, my return flight was canceled and I received no notification (second mess up on their part). They told me that I needed to pay $400+ to book a new returning flight. Then I told them forget it, I just want a full refund. They said that I can only get a $900 refund out of the $1550 I paid for the roundtrip because my returning flight was canceled by the airline. Now after seeing the other posts in this thread I’m not convinced I’ll be getting that money back.
I believe the other posters in this group that the company is a scam.
My next course of action would be:
[1] I was only linked to Farescan from looking up flights in Kayak. Hence, I’m going to raise this with the business integrity team at Kayak so that hopefully other people do not fall prey to this issue.
[2] I’m waiting to see if I get my refund, monitoring my account closely. If I do not get it within the promised time period, I’m going to seek legal action.

Bad service with farescan

My experience with those people is that i booked a flight with them and booked a 4 seats on these flights (multiple flights on one trip). I paid $328 to book the seats and received a confirmation from them. I called the airlines direct and they told me no seats were booked, and kept calling farescan and the keep telling lies like many many times, the customer services people were so rude and irresponsive. DO NOT deal with those people.

Refund not received from farescan for cancelled flight

I booked ticket for my family last year, due to COVID-19 flight cancelled and rebooked the ticket this year. One of the connecting flight cancelled by airlines this year, so they approved full refund and asked me to check with Farescan since its booked through agent. When I called and followed up farescan multiple times(almost 20 times) in last 3 months and they confirmed refund is approved but pending from airlines. I received refund for 1 passenger out of 3 through CC dispute. When ever I call, saying wait for 2 to 3 weeks(repeated statement). Very Bad experience with Farescan.

I have sent email to farescan escalations team on Sept 27 and they said will recieve refund in 2 to 3 weeks, but I did not recieve. Again followed up on November 17, no response from escalations team. These guys not standing on their words, Very bad experience.
I have added the reviews here couple of months back, farescan team replied here that I will receive the refund in my bank account, so far no refund.

BUYERS BEWARE!!!

BUYERS BEWARE!!!! I have been trying to get my two flights or refund for tickets I purchased June 2019. They never tried to help me and I wish we can come together and get this company for fraudulently taking money from us all. They send back these dumb sorry for your inconvenience letters but never help! I lost over $1300 and they should not get away with this!

Dear Farescan you reply to everyone on here with complaints and say you are going to have a supervisor call us and they never do! Your company is a SCAM AND YOU KNOW THIS!

Definite scam, do not buy flights from them

Everyone please read the rest of the reviews on this page, this is a scam company. Plain and simple. They offer low price flight tickets and then tell you that there was an error and either you have to pay them extra or cancel for a fee. The amount of people on here with 1* reviews should be an easy indication

POOR

Well, This is very disgusting to see their rates totally different on website and on customer service end. I have to postpone my ticket and asked them to rebook my flight to certain date which I can see low fare on website they aren't booking flight though I have add-ons. Do not use FareScan

Do not, under any circumstance, book with FareScan. They will take your money and lie about any possible refund. I booked through them for a flight over a year ago (that was cancelled by the airline) and they have been saying that they cannot refund until the airline sends them the money. I've spoken directly with the airline and they say that FareScan has and is holding the money. I've called many times and have sent about 30 emails over the past year, to no avail. And unfortunately I've waited too long to get a chargeback from the bank.

SCAM SCAM SCAM!
FARESCAN IS SCAM...
I had a booking through them 1.5 years ago but due to covid it got cancelled. So i called them ever since regarding the refund that I supposed to get but every time I called them I get different answers. I called air india and they told me that I should have get my refund till now but they are saying that it's still under process. Now, I'm planning to go to CONSUMER'S COURT and file a complaint on them. So that they can take legal actions on farescan. I wish I would have checked their reviews before booking through them.

Stay AWAY - BAD Service and BAD peoppe

The worst company I've dealt with. The agents are rude and unprofessional. I bought a $20 protection cause it said I could cancel and get a full refund with 24 hours. but apparently that's not the case. Company is utterly fraudulent. They have a bunch of indian men on the other end who do not have any kind of professionalism whatsoever. They can't even speak politely. They couldn't even connect me to a supervisor. This is honestly the worst ever company, please be ware and do not do business with them.

SCAM ALERT!!

SCAM ALERT!!! Don't book with them. After confirming the request, they changed the fare multiple times. Even after I approved all the fare increases, they still could not book the ticket. Next day, I had to book through another site. When I called their customer service, they were rude and could not help

They should rename.. farescam

I wish I had read reviews about them before I booked my flight from them. I had such a bad experience with them. Like so many people here they didn't wanted to refund me back. My flight got canceled and they didn't even send me an email to notify me that my flight got canceled. I was stranded on the airport and I had no idea. I had separate connecting flights booked and hotel reservations that I couldn't cancel. I ended up booked another flight for the same day which was double the price. They didn't refund me my $850 for the flight even after multiple phone calls

Got refund in 2 days (via bank dispute)…

Soo they were not refunding my money to me and making excuses. I was not having it and did the following:

Called my bank (the one who issued my credit card) and asked them to file a "dispute" against this company.

Within 2 days of filing the dispute I got all the money back.

I guess filing a dispute is the best way to get your money back from exploretrip/farescan!!

Please file a dispute ASAP with your bank or else you will never get your refund!!

They SCAM!!! DON'T book with them.

They SCAM! They have different rates quoted online vs by a live agent. No transparency! DON'T book with Fare Scan.
They charge a much higher price if you are trying to re-book a ticket vs buying a new ticket. NOT fare difference but much higher rate than that. Absolute cheating!!

Scammers, Avoid!

I do not know how websites like Kayak show their link. These people should be prosecuted for fraud. Bought the ticket and got a confirmation email advising that the e-ticket will follow shortly. 12 hours later, tickets are not sent and the customer service says to wait for 2 hours and 2 hours later another two hours. Finally says the ticket has been voided. By who? Why you are in the business if you cannot sell tickets at the price you offered? How about telling customers as soon as possible if you did not have the capacity to honor the commitment so that customers can buy elsewhere?

Horrible Horrible

I have called them 50 times. Whenever I tell them the reason for my call is a refund, their agents disconnect my call. I curse the day when I bought the 6 tickets from them. Horrible horrible company. No humanity at all just a scam, not farescan, this is FARESCAM. Stay away, don't even touch them with 50 feet long pole.

Farescan is a scam

Farescan is a scam. I booked tickets for my parents on October 4th. The next day they emailed me saying it is automatically cancelled because they were unable to confirm when I didn’t even receive a confirmation email. I called them and they said they could try to rebook for a higher price. My dad thought it was fishy so we decided to cancel everything. When i checked my bank, they have charged me at 25$ more than the original price. I called them several times but they said they have cancelled it or to call the airlines. After so many calls, they have resorted to cutting me off, shouting at me, and even pretending to have connection issues then hanging up a minute later. I have filed a dispute with my bank. I hope this gets resolved and I get a refund so my parents can go on their vacation. I should have read the terrible reviews before purchasing the tickets.

Stay alway from this website. Just as their name says FarescaM. Purchased ticket for $666 dollars
For Turkish air flight, just 40 dollars below Turkishair.com . Next day I’ve called because I didn’t received confirmation just to be told that price gone up $130. Five min later rui Ed ticket for $819.99 , anther $20+ more. Checked back on Kayak.com same days, they had it for $738. Kayak as big search machine should not give space to scam companies like this. By the way this is my first review on enything.

Very bad
