Worst ever

Worst ever. Booked on Frontier Air. They cancelled a leg of my flight and refunded Farescan not me. 8 weeks of emails and calls making excuses and delays for my refund. I will continue to email them everyday til I get my refund or die first. Avoid this unprofessional and cheating company!

I booked on March 9 and received a…

I booked on March 9 and received a booking confirmation. I found out today that the airline canceled my tickets because they had not been paid by Farescan. When I called them, they said they could not process the payment and that a phone call had been made to me. I don't believe that is actually true. They never tried to contact me and now i am left to pay triple the price for new tickets. Thankfully, they did not charge me so I am not under the same duress as a lot of you. I am so sorry for that for you all. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! Please heed the warnings!

Farescan or FOOLSCAM, u decide!

Hey,

I booked my tickets from Newark to Fort Lauderdale on April 2nd and my travel dates were May 29 to June 1st. I did not receive my tickets for up to two days during which time I tried multiple attempts to contact the team but failed every single time. after trying to establish a connection with the customer care team, I was told that my tickets could not be reserved with the airlines, which is why they are going to go ahead and process a refund and they are short rather promised me that the refund date is going to be April 14th. The customer care official at this time even went to lengths and lied about contacting me multiple times regarding this even when there was not even a single email, call or text message from their end. On April 14th when I made a contact with the team I was further informed that the refund was not made as yet it was still under process and would be made on or before April 23rd, at this point the customer care official also asked me if I wanted to re book the trip but at a much higher cost which was never a good option since I'm not going to be waiting for about 10 days to plan my trip. I tried asking them to connect me with a shift supervisor or with somebody who could give me a better answer to all the issue that I have been facing, no shift supervisor ever gave me a call despite leaving this message multiple times. the fair scan people are only a bunch of executives who are no good working out of some Indian offices because that's what the customer care executive told me, and they are not aware about when and how the refunds are going to be processed or what is the bottleneck that is causing the delays.

I would urge the management to specifically look into why delays have been caused and how is it that a refund that 1st is promised to be made within 7 to 10 business days gets delayed and doesn't even gets done by the stipulated window that the customer care of executives can supposedly see on their computer screens. On top of all of this the customer care executives are simply insensitive towards the customer needs and do not shy away from raising their voice or using an ill tone while dealing with the customers I strongly recommend every single person do never ever ever use the services offered by this company especially the during COVID when your money's already suffering.

First time buying with Farescan and it…

First time buying with Farescan and it will definitely be my last, worst customer service ever. I purchased my ticket online and the 2 times I’ve gotten on the phone with them regarding my canceled ticket due to COVID they have been extremely rude and unprofessional. Lesley the rep that I spoke to last argued with me the entire call and refused to transfer me to a supervisor. He said someone would call me back and was ready to hang up in me without confirming the best call back #. Absolutely a pain to deal with, save yourselves the trouble and book elsewhere. I should have looked at their reviews prior to booking with them!

Unprofessional, wrong and unethical practices !

I am trying to rebook a Air India flight using credit from a COVID cancellation. While Air India has confirm that there is no fare difference in my booked class, Farescan is charging me $2400 for re-booking !

Downright unprofessional, wrong and unethical practices - stay away !

Don't ever deal with them, terrible service

Everything about this company smells like a scam. Their website is full of platitudes and basic mistakes in English.

They weren't able to issue a ticket for my flight, I had to call them the next day, wait for 20 mins listening to terrible music, argue with "Glen", that I indeed want to cancel my reservation, as I am entitled by the US law etc. They insisted that the ticket is about to be issued right away...I insisted that I want my request cancelled and not to ever deal with this crap company. I rather pay a bit more and book directly with Turkish Airlines. Why would agregators like Google Flights and Kayak ever let these jerks on their search results is beyond me.

I would never trust a company like this with my travel.

Book a flight from Farescan

Book a flight from Farescan, a year ago dated 07 january 2020 of $1121.47(PNR no. R7AIW4) and haven’t received the refund yet. It’s more than a year every time they got excuses and says u blah blah that air india team hasn’t send them refund and i already called airindia and they already refunded the farescan a while ago. Trust me it’s my biggest mistake that i used farescan to book my ticket,they are money boggers

Whatever you do please don’t use scamfare or what ever this crap is called! They took$1600 no problem no tickets no refunds. I’m making it a mission to find where you are exactly located going there and eliminating all those scummy curtain jerkers!

I have been trying to get refunded on…

I have been trying to get refunded on my ticket from the pandemic time and I keep getting the same generalized form of email "please wait while we send this to our concern department." Nobody has ever reached out to me I am at a loss of $1600 for this ticket. Needless to say I will never use farescan as as third party to purchase any of my tickets.

Received a booking confirmation for nonexistent booking

Booked a flight through kayak/farescan 3 weeks before my flight. Received an email from farescan that my flight was booked. Great! 3 weeks later, go to check in, and the airlines never heard of me. Called farescan and they said they never "completed" the booking as the price went up.

Go elsewhere.

I formally report this scam, fraudulent agency to the FTC Bureau consumer protection department. This is completely scam located in India. DO NOT BUY OR USE THIS AGENCY. They unauthorized charge my credit card after charging the amount I paid for tickets. They keep your information and use it without your consent. I disputed the amount charge without consent and they acted responsible making me think they didn’t know about it. Kayak needs to kick them off their system as well. I should have look for reviews prior to use them. #kayak

Most horrible site for flight booking

Most horrible experience with this site.They charged me 400$ for a ticket when my credit was more than the actual ticket cost and when I cancelled the ticket after using half way, they said I will only get 150$ as refund, which I have not received till now, the customer care was rude and asked me to contact the airline directly.They are fraudsters, request everyone to book through airline directly instead of this fraud website.Even after an year there is no indication of getting my refund from Farescan,adding this to the review on 24-Jan- 2022.

AWFUL!!

AWFUL!!! Just awful. Don't use. Dont save the few dollars. Trying to change a ticket took 2 hours and 3 different people that did not speak english. And I lost 200 in the process and they couldnt explain why

1 Year Later No Refund

I had a flight cancelled Mar 4 2020. On that date they told me I would receive a refund within 1-2 billing cycles.

I waited 3 months and didn't receive a refund. Since then I have called about once every week or so and they refuse to let me speak to anyone with any authority. Basically their call center is in India and remote and anyone you speak to is trained to let you know a manager will call you back in a couple hours.

You then never get a call back. I have recieved a call back once out of over 20-25 requests. That time I was told that my refund would process in 10 business days. Surprise, Surprise it didn't.

At one point their justification for not refunding me was that the airline has not refunded them. I then contacted the airline on their behalf to get the refund to process to them. I now have a confirmation from the airline that they have refunded FareScan and still not received a refund.

1 year later, I still have no refund. I still can't get a callback and I have filed a claim with my state's small claims court in order to get my money back. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM FARESCAM,

Should be named farescam

Should be named farescam. They advertised a flight for one price and charged me 3x time that. I called twice the first time I gave my prn number to their customer rep and was placed on hold for 15 min. She never checked back in with me and eventually disconnected. I called back I got a man. His customer skills were but except he knew what to tell you to get you off the phone. I never got an email like he told me. I emailed the company and haven't heard from anyone. Not only will I never use farescam I am no longer using kayak either. I will stick with skyscanner this is the second time of me having some mess with a third party in which the deal with. I deserve a call

This business will not last long

charged me for a flight, but told me it was overbooked and didn't give me a ticket. So I bought a ticket with someone else. Still trying to get my money back from them.

Was charged $1,407! NO TICKETS

Tried booking frontier flights to Vegas through Kayak, 2 tickets from LA at $55, with bag the total came to just over $200. Received an email shortly after that my flight could not be booked. However; I had a pending charge for .. $1,407!!!!
I called the airline to see if this was an active booking and it was not! Frontier told me there was no booking for me and that my reservation was declined.
Tried calling FareScan to dispute and they just give you the run around. This is a complete SCAM!
I don't know why Kayak uses them, but I will not be booking through them anymore.

Update 3/12: We are continuing to get the run around. We have filed escalations with FareScan and Kayak, with no help issued.
In response to FareScan’s check in below, your customer service skills are horrible at your center. I can’t believe the way they have spoken to us. They yell, they talk over the customer, and they send you into absolute confusion.
If any one is reading this thinking of booking with Kayak or FareScan, I am begging you DO NOT! $1400 loss on my household has been devastating and neither company has put forth genuine concern in any professional manner.
