Professional, friendly, and a great experience

Support was extremely helpful while assisting me with setting up of a new domain and hosting account. They clearly explained each step, guided me through the process. There support was professional, friendly, and a great experience overall.

Reminders to pay well in advance and sometimes daily. Really annoying

Been with Fasthostingdirect for many years and whilst their web service is good. They have a real problem with billing. They send reminders to pay months in advance and reminders sometimes twice a day and many times a week. I have complained over the years but nothing I do has managed to stop the flow of invoices way ahead of due date. It is really annoying. Be warned

I have used Fast Hosting Direct for 10 years

I have used Fast Hosting Direct for 10 years. After 7 million visitors, due to changing circumstances in the media vs blog syndication battle, I have closed my website.

With Fast Hosting Direct however, there are no changing circumstances. They just go on getting better and better,

Superb customer service, excellent problem solving and always willing to help in any way.

Hopefully I will be back with a new website and when I am, it will be Fast Hosting Direct that I shall use.

My thanks to John and the FHD team for all their help over the years.

I have four accounts with…

I have four accounts with fasthostingdirect and not once have I had any issues, in fact I have had another ten of my friends host with them as well.

Great work guys, I love it.

Something is happening at…Is fasthostingdirect in trouble?

Something is happening at fasthostingdirect. Suddenly everything has moved without any notification. That is a complete change to how we log in etc. Their supposed new website from a .co.uk to .com which they are in the process of building is still not functioning.
On the plus side my website is still up but I am very wary. Until things become clear I would not recommend fasthostingdirect to anybody.

please note we are transferring all customers over to our new billing and support control panel, this is a manual task and is taking some time, when this as been done our new website will go live and both the .co.uk and .com website will show the same website, this move will happen in 2020 as reported on our new website, the new billing control panel (whmcs) uses a new version of php 7 so we need to run it from its own hosting/website not linked to the old billing control panel i.e. why we have 2 sites at this time one for updated customers and one for ones that have not been moved over, when all have been moved over both domains will have the same website again as before, if you contact support we will be happy to give you some more info on this, there is 100% nothing to be worried about with this change and we are 100% not in trouble and as per your site being live on the new system after being moved over.

Great value hosting

I've used Fasthostingdirect for quite a few years now. I can only say really excellent value, great control panel/features, and quick and responsive support.

Fasthostingdirect is by far the best…

Fasthostingdirect is by far the best host we have ever used! We initially decided to try them due to the competitive pricing (on shared hosting) but soon realised how much more they had to offer. We've only had a log a few support tickets (normally something we're doing wrong) and the team has always gone above and beyond their remit - even helping us investigate DNS issues on GoDaddy. Our business is now fully reliant on these guys (a combination of shared hosting & reseller servers) and we couldn't be happier. Keep up the awesome work guys!

Restriction in every single area!
-No MySQL remote access.
-No Email remote use.
Firewall kills creativity.
I would say: ENJOY YOUR RESTRICTIONS
Had to cancel 3 websites hosts with them and on my way to cancel other users host as I am the developer of their websites.
Moved to another reliable service provider and since then, never looked back.
Whats more? Too slow to respond to support tickets.
AVOID AT ALL COST

sorry you have had problems with your hosting account, but you was needing hosting that was not pci Compliant and not secure, you can not be pci compliant if you have an open mysql port for any ip address to the server and why you said in your review we do not have remote mysql, this is not the case, mysql can be opened to a listed ip address as and when needed, from your control panel, but not from any ip address on the net i.e. a full open mysql port, we offer remote mysql but at pci compliant, please note you are using https on your website but your website is not pci compliant, you need both to be secure (your new vps cpanel server we make this very clear) .

You also said we do not offer remote email, this is not the case at all and we do fully support remote email by imap/pop3 and smtp on top of our full webmail support, no idea why you have said this in your review (may be you was having problems with email as cpanel servers need to be login using ssl if its not turned off).

Please also note to say you move to a new host and not looked back, you only just moved and also have moved to a vps so you able to run your website with open ports and no firewalls and so on, not directly true, all support times and been slow in your case as we had to work out replies to why you are unable to do what you trying to do on secure hosting,

But Many thanks for making it very clear we offer secure servers to our customer at all times.

Fed up with these guys

Fed up with these guys, website vanished, no emails costing me thousands in lost revenue. Cant get hold of anyone no telephone number no reply to emails! Are these guys still trading?
Don't be tempted to use them in my view and beginning to think best course of action get in the car and physically go and find them and sort this out face to face

At the moment same problem as previous…

At the moment same problem as previous review.

We had no renewal notice for our domain adelos, it expired, we realised it needed renewing as we were not also getting emails.

Used to get notifications from about a month before renewal due that we needed to pay and renew it, not one single notification.

renewed saturday, emailed them saturday, emailed them sunday, emailed them today, opened support tickets, no replies, zip, zero.

Also checking the domain today its showing as not renewed despite us having paid etc.

We've used these for a lot of years, and years ago they were spot on, excellent replies within 12 hours, could not fault them.

If its not resolved by tommorow basically we'll be transferring elsewhere.

get the impression someones part time business they lost interest in

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs, because if you dont it will cost more in the long run. 2 domains paid renewals paid for in feb18 now showing suspended, no reply to tickets and had the following back from the Complaince Team @ PublicDomainRegistry.com "The domain name 'masseycoldbeckengineering.co.uk' had indeed expired on 2018-03-01 and was registered through the reseller - Fast Hosting Direct. I understand that you had paid for the renewal charges to the reseller however, the renewal was pending due to insufficient funds in the reseller's account." Can you put a cost on 3 days of lost emails to your company? I know it will cost alot more than the renewal fees paid.
UPDATE - After 3 days no company emails or website and no answer to ticket raised, 1 hour after this review was posted I had a refund for the domain I transfered away and the other was renewed with a request I amend this review. But being fined £5k for not responding to an emergency breakdown, this down to not getting the emails, well lets just hope this is the only repercussion of this.

Outstanding Company

Outstanding Company
My last web host was some random company down south, costing me a fortune and the website was down every other week. Sluggish performance and eventually was DDOS'd

Since switching to Fasthostingdirect a year ago, I've never had a single outage, My Wordpress site working flawlessly. Support has always helped me regardless of whether it was within their remit or not. Recently bought another Hosting account and domain for a test environment, submitted a support ticket and got a response within 20 minutes. Unbelievable.

the best customer service I've ever experienced

I've had a hosting account with Fast hosting direct since 2010 so plenty of time to get to know them
They deliver the best customer service I've ever experienced
They are online 24x7 which is vital to me as I am in Australia 6 weeks every year
They have even solved a problem on Christmas Day (really!)
Their customer service people talk to you like a human being, avoiding jargon and other cr+p that other companies hide behind
I can't understand the 1 star ratings on this site, the experience is completely opposite to their assertions - come on guys, be honest
Fast hosting direct are also great value for money and their hosting packages are unlimited
Very very difficult to fault

The best internet hosting company we've used

Having been let down in the past by some of the big hosting companies we were on the look out for a company with good support and good services. After asking around my friends Fast hosting name kept popping up time and time again so we opened an account with them and setup a few sites with them.

That was over 5 years ago and since then they host 90% of our websites on there very fast Cloud hosting platform and we've not had cause to complain once about there services.

In over 5 years we've not seen any services go down, technical support is excellent no matter what time of the day we email them and services/prices are spot on.

I would recommend Fast hosting to anyone who wants trouble free hosting with great support and good price

Customer service is simply the best.

Held a hosting accounts with Fast hosting for almost 7 years now. Their customer service is second to none. Even when a problem with one of our websites is nothing to do with them they've helped me on so many occasions to find a solution. In 7 years I don't think I've ever waited more than 5 or 10 minutes for a reply to a support ticket and I'm not talking 9 - 5 hours either. I've had replies back in minutes at like midnight on a Sunday.

Excellent Customer Service, Support and Hosting Features
Ive been with Fast hosting direct for around 9 years and Im happy to say they offer outstanding customer service, support, as well as feature packed hosting environments.

Most enquiries / technical problems are answered within 15 minutes of a ticket raised, and most technical issues normally resolved within an hour of raising them.

Control panels are simple and easy to use for administering website. Features provided are amazing for the price, and this combined with excellent technical support means that you really cannot find a better provider than Fast hosting direct particularly if you are in the uk.

Fast hosting direct couldn't be better.
I've been with Fast hosting direct for 10 years and I can't praise them enough. I have 30 websites with them. The service is excellent. They answer all my questions quickly and with great care and knowledge. Help even when it is my own daft mistake. The staff and service is outstanding. Highly recommended.
