Might be cost-effective but don't waste your money. I took out Tax Investigation insurance my accountant only charges £50 an hour he only claimed £1000 maximum and then the Insurer is a company called ARAG PLC got a one-man bandwagon cowboy operator ( Tax Enquiry Solutions) to review the case ( got all the facts wrong and incorrect) then said I did not have a chance of winning with HMRC so Arag Plc ( the insurer) withdrew cover, The reason you take out insurance, is for the insurer to cover you, when there is a claim, not to collect everyone's premiums and not payout. This Insurer has a pattern of this, most people are powerless to do anything. Now launching and funding legal action against the Insurers Arag PLC. DONT waste your money go with a reputable insurer like Croner Tax Investigation Insurance, if you get investigated they will support you.

Naturally we are disappointed to receive a second negative review from the same customer. As we understand the case, the underwriter had no choice but to withdraw cover because it was discovered that taxes had been underpaid over a number of years. It was completely within the underwriter's remit to decide not to chase a lost cause. Clearly this was not the outcome our customer wanted, but ultimately taxes do need to be paid.

It occurs to me that I don't even know if you are real or if you actually exist!. I feel quite foolish to admit that I have no memory of ever speaking to anyone at Fee Protect. I can only say 'mea maxima culpa'. and suggest we rectify this and give credibility to my stupidity.

Very good Insurance produce HMRC…
Very good Insurance produce HMRC becoming increasingly aggressive and going on fishing expedition to see what they can get. Problem is the law is on HMRC side to go on a fishing expedition wether you like it or not so well worth taking this insurance product out against any speculative enquiry.
