We booked through Check24, and I didn’t realize during the booking process that there would be additional fees for not using a credit card. In our case, it was €32 per day. So for a 10-day rental, t... See more

Very easy process to rent and return the vehicle. Comprehensive assessment of prior damage, which was reassuring.
Very bad service. First they refused to give a car on the agreement reserved online because I didn't have a credit card. I don't know what the law says but I think if I pay in cash or debit card it shouldn't be an issue. They've tresspassed the case that we have no other choice to get Sorrento on the given day to our reserved accomodation. Still fine I'll pay more I said. And I did. I paid 100 euro deposit to get the car what I've never received back since then since July this year. Sent emails and never got a response nor the money. I've filled the car back with gas and withoit damages. Used a car for 1!! day for 360 with the gas together. Absolutely joke. They are scammers. Never use their service if you listen to me. There were another family at the time we were there and they tried to trick them too. But they had other opportunities to travel so they refused and speaking out for them. Terrible company I've never experience in the whole Europe before. Good luck!
They Require a physical credit card which is stated somewhere in the Terms and Conditions but with Debit card it is impossible.
We had a car with Drivalia a few days ago and had no problem with our debit card. Now they charge us 260€ “insurance” for a 700€ deposit cause apparently there is no other way to give them the 700€ safety deposit. Thank you for nothing.
Cannot recommend. The lady told us people with our problem are here “every day”.
I tried this car rental company in Milan on Viale Brianza, and I had the worst experience ever. They gave me a car that was not very clean with many scratches on the wheel rims. When I returned the car, they claimed there were damages. I had to pay an extra of about 180 euros.
Manuella was amazing and helped us a lot! Great place tomrent a car
Felirent are a corrupt as a company. I would urge you to not hire a car with them. The whole experience was a disaster. Broken car, terrible customer service. They simply don’t care. Dirty car, offered a change and this was just as bad. Apparently they had “no cars” to change, only offered smaller car.
Currently in the process of dealing with this company. Confident it will result in a protection claim with my credit card provider. Hired a care in Naples and returned to Lamezia. At the point of collection no damage records/report was undertaken and I was told to take pictures of the car (after asking for a report to be filled out). On return of the car I am now being blamed for existing damage, saying that I didn't follow their procedure. I will update as the claim progresses but I would avoid this company bases on this experience alone.
Felirent refused to rent me a car despite having a valid International Driving Permit and my local license. They only accept licenses from a specific Lebanese agent, which caused major inconvenience. Another rental company accepted the same valid IDP without any issue. I booked through DiscoverCars, and this experience ruined my plans. Avoid Felirent if you don’t want unnecessary hassle.
“I recently rented a car from FILIRENT and purchased full insurance for €290. Unfortunately, the car had several issues, including three punctures. I had to leave the car in a remote area and take a taxi to my destination. The next day, I had to pick up the car and then take it to a tire shop two days later, which cost me over €200 out of pocket. Despite having full insurance, the company has refused to cover any of these costs. I’ve tried reaching out multiple times, but they continue to ignore my concerns. I strongly advise others to think twice before choosing this company for their car rental needs.”
And the Customer Service blamed everything on me that I need to check the car before signing tell me how can I check tires before signing agreement it’s absolutely stupid and ridiculous and whoever wrote the email must be a total idiot or a robot one or two
And the pick up location wasn’t in the airport was about 10 minutes drive from the airport and to find the shuttle pick pick up it’s even beyond expectation away from the AIRPORT completely I rented the taxi from Naples station today rental company couldn’t find the place and got me going round and round in a circle then he had to drop us off back in the airport cause couldn’t find the place. It’s so hidden so so away and hidden.
PS: forgot to mention on collecting the car. There was already a light shows low pressure on one of the tires and the first puncture we had ,we had to wait for recovery to come and pick up the car where we were abandoned in the middle of nowhere I had to take a taxi which cost me €64 then next day I had to travel to collect the car which I took a taxi again for €35 and the train to go to a city in Sorrento and collect the vehicle the next day the light came on again that I had to take it to a tire shop when they opened it they said the tire had already previous two previous punctures they were large and cannot be fixed at that point I had to pay to change the tire that’s how the vehicle was rubbish and not trustworthy on the road puncture punctures
The two women were late. Car pickup was at 8am they show up 15min later, they start inspecting cars and only open the office at 9am to greet the first customers. Sadly many had a booking at 8am so currently it’s 9.45am and there is 10-12 people in front me waiting for car.
Inside the women told me they had internet issues. It happens, but they only learned about the issue at 9am anyway, so an hour late. If you open at 8am, you inspect the cars before 8am, I don’t understand what logic they use. This is the worst service I have had in my life for a car rental, and luckily it is sadly non refundable so I have to wait but I’ve lost 2 hours of my day already and it keeps going. Who knows when I will get my car ?
Rosaria is the best she helped us with everything she is the best
Very Good service in palermo
I was charged for two separate insurance coverages without clear disclosure, and several additional hidden fees were added to the final invoice—none of which were made transparent at the time of booking or clearly outlined in the terms and conditions.
As someone who has experience renting cars both as a customer and a provider (including to international tourists), I can confidently say that this level of ambiguity and lack of transparency is unacceptable. I have previously rented a car in Italy—often criticized for unclear rental practices—and even there, the rental terms were more straightforward and fair than what I encountered with this service.
This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this company—or the associated partner company—to anyone.
Very bad experience – unreliable and unsafe
We booked a Jeep or similar via CarJet, but were given a much smaller and cheaper Citroën sedan. The local rental company (Felirent) told us they don’t even have Jeeps in their fleet. CarJet initially responded, but when I asked if a proper replacement would be available, they never replied.
Later during the rental, we had a flat tire and discovered the car had no warning triangle or safety vests — extremely dangerous, especially with two small children in the car. Despite multiple follow-ups, CarJet and Felirent failed to offer any solution.
In short: poor service, no accountability, and an unsafe situation. Definitely not recommended.
Terrible Experience with Felirent – Dishonest and Unprofessional Staff at Milan Malpensa Airport
I had one of the worst customer service experiences ever with Felirent at Milan Malpensa Airport — and I strongly urge travelers to avoid this company at all costs.
The staff were rude, dismissive, and clearly not interested in helping customers. The main issue? The agent insisted my bank card was a debit card, even though I called my bank right in front of her, and they confirmed on the spot that it is a credit card. Despite this clear confirmation, she refused to accept the card unless I purchased their expensive, unnecessary insurance. It was obvious she was forcing this just to make money from extras.
When I realized this was going nowhere and I was being manipulated, I told her I would never come back and walked away. I ended up booking with another rental company that accepted my card with no issue, no lies, and no attitude.
The behavior of this staff member was not only unprofessional — it was dishonest. It’s shocking that a company operating in one of Italy’s main international airports can treat tourists this way. This experience does not reflect the hospitality Italy is known for, and I sincerely hope the Italian tourism board starts paying attention to companies like Felirent.
Avoid them. Spend your money elsewhere.
If I could give 0 stars I would.
They are committing fraud. And I have proof.
They have been tampering with the mileage on the paperwork for the rented cars. I have pictures that shows they have added more mileage when dropping back the car from the previous person. I was trapped into paying for damaged I did not do. £372.95 or they would take my £700 deposit. I have contacted the fraud department in Europe to investigate them. As I have sent numerous emails complaining and they have not replied to one! I would avoid them at all costs! Otherwise you could endure more costs !

Reply from Felirent
We has to pay en extra 100€ because we were late by 35 min due to our flight
The personnel was mostly un respectful and lying on the delay
The car windshield has never been washed and it was dangerous with the sun
The water for cleaning the windshield was empty
This was deemed normal by the personnel
A company to avoid….

I’ve travelled the world and hired cars across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the Far East. In all that time, I’ve never experienced anything as bad as this company - Felirent take the award as worst car hire business in the world!
I booked a Jeep and paid top dollar because I needed a 4x4 to safely get my family through the mountain passes of Sardinia. What I received instead was a battered old Opel with almost no tread left on the tyres.
Worse still, they charged me an extra €400 for this death trap.
Don’t do it.
They don’t have the cars they advertise, the staff are rude, and you will get ripped off.
Clearly running a money making scam. Collected the car, full of damage on the 13th July. Returned it in the same condition on the 23rd and the horrible, rude staff tried to charge €220 for scratches already there. Showed them pictures I had taken at collection as proof but they argued because they didn't have the pictures. I refused to hand over any money and on returning home they had taken €281 from the card. Clearly charging everyone for previous damage. Don't use this company.
The service was extremely poor, and the contact number they provided was never answered. Additionally, they have not returned our deposit.
