I ordered an orthopaedic bed for my dog…

I ordered an orthopaedic bed for my dog from FetchCo. The bed was delayed and when it did arrive, it came vacuum-packed. Poor-quality materials were used in the manufacture, so the wrinkles have not disappeared and the bed does not remotely look like the image on their site. I sent photos of what I expected and what I actually received. When I asked for a refund, I was told to wait a further 72 hours while the bed wrinkles disappeared and then they would review my complaint. They have not! UK dog owners avoid this site. The products are inferior, and the delays are unacceptable. The returns policy is not UK standard, and as the company is not based in the UK you won't get your money back. Ignore the slick marketing on the website and definitely the dishonest comparison table about FETCHCo being better than the local pet shop. Support your local pet shop, which is what I have now done and have donated the bed to a local charity.

Direct from China

Unfortunately this company really lets itself down with big promises and poor service, I live in the UK and ordered a bed with a 3 to 5 day delivery.

Apparently the "Spring Sale" in the winter is doing so well they are inundated with orders and cant cope with the pressure!!

No-one responded to my request when I asked the chat bot to speak to a customer service agent but to their credit they did write back when I emailed (as evidence of communication) as I was preparing my case against them.

They also produced a Royal Mail shipping label and sent me tracking details (probably to keep me quiet for a few days) which was a waste of time as the item wasn't even in the country at the time and it appears now that the label has expired

It turns out the orders are dispatched direct from China so there is no way they will ever deliver within the 5 days to quote "You're right to ask, and I'm sorry I wasn't clearer. Yes, this order is being shipped from China."

Not sure yet if this is just an overly elaborate con or some simple wannabe business person playing well out of their league and lying through their teeth to get the business off the ground. I guess I'll find out when and if this bed ever arrives.
