Taking your money works for them. Warranty resolutions not. First our charger broke for one of the bikes - for a 30 € replacement item they expected us to come to the store for pickup. The travel costs and time cost me more.
Second and worse - the backwheel of our cargo bike broke. They needed 2 months to finally have a replacement and then asked us to drive around 25 km on an unsafe bike to the store (!). AND after we refused they had the audacity to charge us pickup and return costs for a warranty repair without obtaining valid consent. This is ongoing and I will take this to court if they insist on collecting.
Stay away - they sell fast and well but afterwards you are on your own with any problems.
Very dissapointing service
I bought a bike that was listed as "in stock" and got a confirmation that my bike will be delivered in 2 weeks. Fietsenwinkel.nl keep postponing the delivery week after week. They don't communicate with me, I have to hunt them down. They make new commitments of delivery and then send an email later that day with a new delivery a week later. This is unacceptable. If you want to buy a bike and actually ride your bike, do not buy from Fietsenwinkel.nl. I wish I had used another company to buy my Tenways. I am still waiting for my bike.

Premium Bike, Zero Service: Left stranded with a broken bike for 6 weeks!
I purchased a premium LOVENS Explorer S85 ABS from Fietsenwinkel Utrecht Megastore in October 2025. Despite costing as much as a second-hand car and having less than 100km on the odometer, the bike is completely unusable, and Fietsenwinkel's customer service has been incredibly disappointing.
Critical errors suddenly appeared on the display: 'ABS Contac spec. retailer', 'Drive unit, Check rear ABS sensor', and 'Drive unit, Check rim/spoke magnet'. The motor and brakes do not work. Furthermore, there has been a physical defect with the battery housing from the start; it takes at least 10 attempts to get the battery to click into place.
They were exceptionally fast and friendly when taking my money, but when it comes to after-sales support, you are completely ignored. I requested a service appointment 6 weeks ago (April 21st) and have left multiple messages. Their only response is a dismissive "we are very busy," without offering any service date or solution. My daily transportation has been completely disrupted for weeks.
To make matters worse, other authorized Bosch service centers refuse to fix it because I didn't buy the bike from them. When you buy a Bosch-powered e-bike from Fietsenwinkel, you are completely dependent on them, and unfortunately, they leave you entirely on your own once the sale is final.
If you are planning to buy a high-end bike, think twice before buying it here. I expect an immediate resolution and a confirmed repair appointment.
Fraudulent company and ghosting consumers
If 0 stars was possible, I would choose it. This is a fraudulent company.
Battery advertised at 40–60 km (400Wh) now barely reaches 20 km after only a few months of use. The store took my battery for “inspection” and I’ve now been waiting 3 months with no real resolution, and now they are ghosting me,
I’m left without a working bike and no clear answers. Extremely disappointing experience.
Really bad after-sale support
I purchased a CGO600 from this store around 1.5 years ago. The bike is still under warranty, but a battery cable broke and now the bike won’t even turn on anymore.
The store itself couldn’t even take the bike for maintenance because they currently have a 2-month scheduling delay, so the bike had to be sent to one of their partners for repair instead.
The repair partner requested the replacement cable almost a month ago, and Fietswinkel still hasn’t delivered the part. My commuting expenses have already exceeded €100 during the time my bike has been sitting there waiting FOR ONE CABLE DELIVERY.
To make things worse, their customer service / HQ simply does not answer the phone.
Based on this experience, I highly do NOT recommend buying a bike from them. The after-sales support and warranty service are extremely disappointing.
Expensive bike - issues within a month and refused my insurance
Expensive bike, that rusted in a month and pedal was stuck. When it was stolen, I was told insurance hadn't been taken out even though I purchased it alongside the bike.
I purchased an e-bike from Fietsenwinkel.nl (€2000+) and selected insurance during checkout (it is stated on the invoice for the bike). The site clearly states that they “ensure that the insurance is taken out,” and I followed all visible requirements, including buying the 2 additional required locks.
My bike was stolen only 2 months later in front of my house while the locks were attached to the bike, I was told that I was not insured.
The reason given was that an additional step (providing a Dutch IBAN) was required after purchase, and that I had not responded to a single follow-up email—which had gone to spam.
At no point during checkout was it clearly communicated that:
• the insurance would not be active until further action was taken after purchase
• failing to respond to one email would result in having no coverage
For a purchase of this value, relying on a single email with no reminder or follow-up is not sufficient. A process like this should be much clearer and more robust, especially when customers are led to believe that insurance is being arranged on their behalf.
Despite multiple attempts to reason with customer service, the company ultimately refused to take responsibility for the situation.
Overall, this experience has been very disappointing. I would strongly advise others to not purchase an e-bike from this company and not take out insurance from them either.
Bought a bike
Bought a bike, after less than 500 km it is broken. Impossible to reach the service center: the website does not accept the provided user name and ID. Since a few days, the telephone number of the service center does not answer, the one of the shop where I bought the bike puts down the phone all the time. So either you offer a true service for the product, or you more honestly avoid doing that but set the expectations.

Problem with display quickly and correctly diagnosed.
I had a problem with the display on an ebike I bought from Fietsenwinkel 7 years ago.
When I took the bike to the Utrecht Fietsenwinkel I was helped by an extremely knowledgeable repair technician, Joost Janszen, who quickly and correctly diagnosed the problem.
I left the bike there and it was fixed by the next day.

Store does not reimburse for a stolen bike despite insurance
I have encountered the worst experience with this store when my bike got stolen. I have purchased a bike for 2200 euro and the store employees have told me to buy an insurance from them. They said I don't have to make an insurance myself because they have an agreement with ANWB and will make it for me. I have an invoice where they included the insurance together with the bike, locks and a front crate.
Now, my bike got stolen, and the Fietsenwinkel says they did not make any insurance for me and refused to reimburse me!!!!
I have TWO DOCUMENTS CONFIRMING THEY SOLD THE INSURANCE - my order and my invoice. Both explicitily state "diefstal en schade"!
Now their client service says "i'm sorry, but no insurance was applied and we cannot reimburse you" - but what do you mean - you ordered and sold it to me, it is SELLER'S LEGALLY BINDING OBLIGATION TO DELIVER THE SERVICE THEY HAVE SOLD!
Unbelievable shame to deceive consumers like this!

Tenways CGO800 battery issue
I have purchased a Tenways CGO800 from Fietsenwinkel 9 months ago, and suddenly my battery stopped charging. I took it to the store and they changed it on the spot and i have a new battery in 30 mins. Super customer service!
