I tried to extend the policy I…
I tried to extend the policy I purchased by 2 days. I couldn't. I had to cancel that policy and start a new one. WHY.?
Then I was told I couldn't do that outside a number of days of commencing the trip, even though I had a policy with the same start date!
So, silly me, tried a new application and it went through with the new dates. Next time it will probably be with a new insurer

The bare essential cover that we have does not cover any cancellations, it only covers medical expenses, emergency expenses and personal liability.
The Mid and Top level covers will give you cover for cancellations and COVID related claims.
