How this company uses Trustpilot
See how their reviews and ratings are sourced, scored, and moderated.
Edit:
Changed rating to one star. FINN apparently tried to get this review taken down, within a few hours of its posting, and of course with no concrete feedback.
I just find it worth noting that this company's "online damage control" team has more capacity than its customer facing and product development teams.
My experience is genuine and presented as is.
Original review:
Applied for a subscription, waited 6 days, got a rejection mail with a shady formulation of “we do not disclose details about our (applicant) examination process”.
Well it’s their right to do business their way, but why waste my time with all the marketing about fast application and by promising me car delivery date in writing?
Important note is that the only docs FINN asked from me, and so also received, were my IDs so all the info they had on me was my Nationality (non-German EU).
To answer my own question above, it is clear then why their “applicant review process” is hush-hush (because it includes intra-EU discrimination on grounds of nationality, which is illegal in Germany).
One extra bonus star for the review rating because my relationship with FINN ended so early.
Would have been a bummer being stuck with the useless chatbot as only contact person.

I've used Finn twice before and never incurred any problems. When I tried to renew my subscription for the third time, they rejected my application because I was holding a non-EU driver's licence (like I've always had). Yet, a customer representative told me that I could still be registered as an additional driver if somebody else (e.g. in my family) was the main subscriber with an EU licence. I tried that and got my sister to subscribe, but they would still reject my non-EU driver's licence, despite the customer service agent having told me otherwise. They then charged me a penalty to cancel the subscription (= 1 month subscription fee). It appears to me that FINN's customer agents are not on the same page and are quite inconsistent in how they go about advising their clients. Lastly, if you go with FINN (or similar), make sure you return the car in impeccable condition (as overcharging you for so much as the tiniest of removable stains is part of their business model...).

My dog has severe allergies. Scratching all the time. He’s on medicine from the vet. We were giving him the meds two times a day. Then I bought Finn allergy and itch. It’s great. He’s not scratching anymore. Maybe once in a while. Now he gets a pill maybe twice a week just to play it safe. Love Finn Ty
Strong service ; i will keep going with them. Best alternative from car leasing or car ownership

The pickup and delivery process was very smooth. The helpline was very good with their support. Small scratches on alloy rims were ignored in final bill after return. Overall great experience.

Worst service ever. There is no one to contact. Delivery dates are constantly being postponed. They don't even ask if the delivery dates fit into the schedule. I'm still waiting for my car to be delivered, even though I transferred the deposit within 24 hours of receiving the email.
Avoid Finn if you want to have a peace of mind.
Update: Honestly, i'm shocked with my experience with Finn. As of today, it is more than 16 days since I transferred my deposit. I have provided the proof of transfer. Furthermore, Finn requested my bank statement to prove that I transferred the money, and it did not renounce. I took a leap of faith and shared my bank statement as well with Finn. Now Finn is again requesting my complete bank details, stating that they need this to investigate why my deposit did not arrive at their account. To Finn, are you sure you are not employing scammers? Everything so far sounds very fishy.

Please avoid this company at all cost. They duplicated an insurance claim and tried to get my to pay double the amount I was actually supposed to pay. I only filed accident report, got the car fixed and turned it in as my lease was up. When trying to reconcile this, they continued to tell me I filed two claims (NO I DIDNT) and then said I could seek legal matters and they won't be responding to me. It is nearly impossible to speak to anyone on the phone and the customer service is horrible.

My contract was canceled by Finn but they are charging me for the months left on the contract. I got a call from a collection company threatening to escalate collections for non payment and I'm trying to call Finn but theres no way to get through to them.
I chose my car based on the promised delivery date, which was supposed to be yesterday. FINN confirmed a delivery time slot via email, so I worked from home to receive it. However, the car never arrived. There was no follow-up email, no contact at all. Despite multiple attempts to reach them through emails and phone calls, I was continuously passed between different departments with no resolution. Their customer service is terrible!

****2ND UPDATE. Deposit for vehicle returned 1 month ago still has not been refunded to me.****
****update. Finn tried to have my review taken down and still hasn’t resolved my issues****
A great concept ruined by German customer “service”. Have a 12 month subscription for a reasonable electric vehicle. The car itself is fine, although the electronics are glitchy. Wouldn’t even attempt to address them, because it’s impossible to schedule service through Finn and get the car back in a timely manner. Early in the lease, I had a dead battery and I waited a full day for them to finally dispatch a tow truck. See, you can’t actually talk to Finn on the phone when you have an urgent issue. You get a claims adjusting company, that the routes you to your vehicle manufacturers roadside assistance plan. If you’ve got an MG, you’re in big trouble. MG sucks. More recently, I had a flat tire and I ended up paying the tow truck driver directly. No idea why. Some problem with Finn and MG I suspect. I was without my car for 7+ days for a tire, and had to go out of pocket for a rental. I’m still chasing Finn and the claims management/ adjuster for the reimbursement they say I’m owed. Unreal.

Worst delivery company, I have been trying to get in contact with customer services, I have try every where possible and still not able to get to speak to anyone!
What a rotten company. I was wondering how they make money with such low prices. Well now that Finn has TAKEN more than $3000 after I returned my car without even notifying me, for "wear & tear" AKA as scratches that you cannot see witout a magnifying glass. I am not kidding that they managed to find a scratch on every single part of my car, from my hood, my fender, bumper, tailgate, mirrors, wheels, all doors, and places I didn't even know my car had. My car was in perfect brand new condition and I even joked to the pickup guy that I would gladly buy it off from Finn. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! FRAUDSTERS. IF YOU'RE IN A DEFICIT RAISE YOUR PRICE BEFORE RENTING OUT THE CARS. DONT THROW $3000+ CHARGES ON ME AFTER I RETURNED THE CAR.
UPDATE: Finn replied to my review that I should reach out to them. I did, and they made me fill out a form with my claim. They said that they will follow up within 7-10 business days. Three weeks have passed since, and I still haven't heard back from them.

We used the American svc. Signed the subscription last June for a 1 year subscription. First upon delivery which was 3 days late where we had to take off work, the window was left down apparently while it was stored till we got it. There was bird poop YES BORD poop all over the inside. I had to get that detailed. Never got reimburse for that cost. Then after driving for approx 5 months older pulled over by the police, the registration year sticker was missing. I find that in the glove box with the old and new registration as well as an expired insurance card. Fast forward to March. I find out that the USA company is canceling business and recalling all vehicles. That’s fine. Come get it. We make arrangements for them to pick the vehicle up April 1 they show up march 24. The car was getting detailed that day because I like car clean kept. I tell the driver just that. He says ok, I’m sure Finn will be in contact to rearrange. A week goes by they email saying if we haven’t made an arrangement by the end of the week we’ll come repossess the vehicle. How do you repossess a rented subscription car. I’ll get back to that. I emails back saying the car will be here Monday the 6th. Got no email response so I emailed back 5 times with the same email. I wake up this morning to the car gone. They came and apparently towed the car but didn’t even knock on the door to get the keys, which we’d have cordially given regardless of the time.
Here is the kicker. They just emailed us today saying we waited for a response you never emailed saying what day, we said we’d reposes the car on the 8th we waited an extra day. Remember I emailed them 5 times saying Monday the 8th!!!!! This company is not only horrible with communication, there also horrible with not taking payments on time. Also horrible with being coordinated and polite! Oh and the monthly cost was always a different cost anywhere from 689.00 to 895.87. I hope the Germans have better luck than the USA BASED COMPANY has had!
It is very difficult to connect to customer service by phone or email. Even if you do, you should not expect to speak to an appropriate representative. I am still waiting for their response to the inquiry I left a month and a half ago.
While using FINN's car subscription service, I used a rental car to repair a car defect. Regarding rental car use, only the pick-up date and location were provided, and there was no information about additional costs.
When I went to pick up the vehicle, what the representative told me was not reflected, and the insurance coverage was different from what FINN provided. So, I left an inquiry about insurance coverage with the vehicle reservation manager, but did not receive a response. So I couldn't even imagine that there would be a problem (additional cost).
However, 2.5 months after returning the rental car, I received an bill for the additional cost from the rental car company. FINN did not mention that they did not respond to my inquiry regarding insurance when I picked up the vehicle, but instead told me that I had to pay because I had added the service. If the representative had checked the email I sent, confirmed the coverage, and informed me of the additional cost, I would have been able to avoid the additional cost. Since then, the return date has been extended twice, giving us opportunities to change the option. Additionally, I did not receive any documentation when picking up the vehicle, so I did not know what services were added exactly. The rental car company said they couldn't give me the documents because this reservation was made through FINN.
I left an inquiry with FINN regarding this matter on March 14th, but until today, April 30th, there was no mention of the inquiry I left when picking up the rental car, and I was not informed of how this invoice was being processed (Or maybe they're just ignoring this...). I called customer service again today and wanted to speak to a representative, but even after talking to 3 representatives over an hour, they still said they were not in charge and couldn't help me and told the representative. I was just told to leave a message.
Contrary to FINN's advertisements that say there is nothing to worry about except driving, I spend my time and energy communicating with FINN every day.

My subscription is ending and there have been no automobiles available for three months told not going to extend the subscription or have a vehicle in the forceable future I was hooked on the subscription service now have to go to dealer and spend all day in showroom yuck.

Never rent from this company. The cheap rental price is just a way to get customers and then they try to snatch money after subscription ends as ‘final end bill’ (more than 2000 pounds plus 250 picking fee! ) for damage that renter doesn’t even know. They don’t even ask/ discuss with the renter before sending massive bills. Disgusting tactics to just make money. I have read other people have also had similar experience. To add to it, I also had to pay huge cancellation fee (500 plus) when I gave all papers to show I had to move country due to sudden job change. Please be careful and don’t get lured by their low price. Better to rent from enterprise, their rent is on higher side, but they never charged me for any minor scratch or damage. I rented enterprise for a year and never faced such unfair end bills etc.

Great service, everything is very simple. Prices are very reasonable, as compares to other companies that offer similar services. Highly recommended.
