Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.
We are pleased that you found the Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) was completed promptly and that communication throughout the process was clear. However, we are naturally disappointed to read your concerns regarding the content and structure of the report.
Our approach to Fire Risk Assessments is firmly based on a risk-based methodology, as required under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2023. By its nature, a risk-based assessment involves professional judgement and interpretation. Two assessors may present findings in different ways, but the underlying priority remains the same: identifying and clearly documenting material risks and any non-compliance with current fire safety legislation.
During the site visit, our assessor would have discussed any observed shortfalls in relation to the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2023 and other applicable guidance. Where issues are identified, we cannot disregard or dilute them, even where doing so may affect the perceived usability of the report for a particular purpose. We have a professional and legal obligation to report findings accurately and in line with protocol.
In relation to the structure of the report, we appreciate that formatting preferences can vary. Our template is designed to align with industry standards and to ensure that significant findings, risk ratings, and recommended actions are clearly recorded. That said, we are always open to constructive feedback and would be happy to clarify any sections you found confusing.
We also take seriously your comments regarding expectations set at the point of commissioning. If there is a specific element you feel was not delivered as agreed, we would welcome the opportunity to review this directly with you to better understand and address your concern.
While we feel the review is somewhat harsh given the scope of our statutory responsibilities and the transparent, compliant basis on which the assessment was completed, we remain committed to professional dialogue and continuous improvement. Please feel free to contact us directly so we can discuss your concerns in more detail and work towards a constructive resolution.
