Well I had issues with some little…

Well I had issues with some little mice's I don’t even know where they came from I tried to figure out but nothing, so I decided to call some experts in the field and I found First Call property services, the customer service was amazing and then someone came to my house and resolved the issue, I’m impressed and I recommend First Call Property Service to anyone who have issues with any pest they are very helpful.

Excellent experience with moth infestation

I had an excellent experience! They were professional, prompt, and thorough throughout the entire process. After dealing with a moth infestation in my flat, they came in for 3-4 fumigation sessions, each one addressing the problem more effectively than the last. The team was knowledgeable, explaining the steps and ensuring the treatment was safe and efficient. I noticed a significant difference after the first two visits, and by the final session, the moths were completely gone. Highly recommend their services for anyone dealing with a similar issue!

Guarantee most of these reviews are FAKE

Guarantee most of these reviews are fake. Their service was terrible - it didn’t work, not sure what chemicals they use, but the singular person they sent took about thirty minutes to do my mums entire three bedroom property…

And that free return they offer if it doesn’t work? Yeah, don’t expect them to come back. I contacted them at least three times via phone and email, they simply ignored it.

It took us hours to prepare the property for them to come and hours of clearing up after, lots of money and it didn’t do a single thing to help despite their guarantee.

When I was last online their other reviews were also terrible, my guess is they’ve had a little online clean up because they rely heavily on good reviews. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I wouldn’t use this company again…

I wouldn’t use this company again personally. I can see how they might get good reviews as it seems if you lay down some traps or poison you will generally catch the pests. However I would have saved several hundred pounds with better results if I had just ordered the materials myself from Amazon. For my situation they did not have any urgency on getting rid of the mouse and pretty much just went through the motions. They never did get rid of the mouse, and didn’t care. They said it was due to a “new infestation” even though there was not a single point in time we did not have indications of activity.

I called several firms and spoke with this one twice. I went with this firm even though they were more expensive because they offered assurances and a guarantee. They said on the first visit they would lay snap traps and the office type bait stations, and seal up 30% of the possible entry points. And on the second visit would clear the dead mice and seal up the remainder. From the moment they arrived though they were selling more services. They said there was too much remediation work to do unless I paid another couple hundred pounds, even though it was just a single room within a single flat (i.e. not a loft or basement). And because of that they said any guarantee was not valid unless I paid more money. I told them I would consider it however the immediate, and only, goal was to remove the current mouse. They did not complete this so I saw no need to spend any further money with them.

I should have spotted several red flags at the beginning. They required a down payment before coming out (fine, but not required by other companies). However I was required to pay through what looked like a suspicious web link so I googled the firm on the link and it looks to be a credit firm that provides funding to companies in financial distress. On their first visit they were late but did lay down some snap traps and the baiting stations. I was on a work call when they finished and left around 4pm. When I finished my calls around 6:30pm I saw I had five missed calls and two emails from them demanding payment.

The second visit is supposed to be around ten days later, however I gave it two weeks to try to give more time to catch the mouse as there were signs at least every other night the mouse was still there. They came and removed the snap traps, no mouse was present. I waited another week and the mouse was still active. I called them and they said they could not do anything else unless I paid them more money as this was a “new infestation”. Their website says we are not satisfied unless you are, but I am certainly not satisfied, and they definitely did not care.

We are deeply sorry that hear you were not pleased with the service provided to you by our team here at First Call Property Services. I personally would like to clarify the situation at hand and why the decisions have been made from our management team to put things into perspective.

After discussing your rodent issue with our technicians as well as reading the reports submitted after each visit, it states that additional proofing works were required to eradicate your issue due to how many exposed areas were found during the inspection. Unfortunately we could not come to an understanding regarding the amount of entry points that required proofing, which will always vary from property to property. It entirely depends on how the property was built and how many areas were left exposed.

As it states on the report, the amount of rodent proofing would have required two technicians for up to 3 hours which falls in line with our Major Proofing policy that is stated on your initial confirmation email.

Proofing and sealing off all access points is the only way to prevent the mice activity from occurring within any property we deal with - if the works are extensive, a recommendation and quote for the additional works is given to you to ensure all areas of concern are addressed to ensure we can guarantee the eradication of your issue.

As a licensed and accredited property services company with qualified employees we aim to solve all rodent issues permanently as well as building an understanding with all customers, and working as a team to solve any pest issue. Unfortunately in this case, we were unable to work together as it was deemed unfair to you.

Nevertheless, we apologise for any inconvenience caused and will ensure to use this experience to try and improve our services in the foreseeable future.

Left rat poison on the floor stay away

They left contaminated rat poison on the floor in the living room area and my dog ate it.
Had to go through 3 rounds of pills and 4 rounds of injections.
Head of operations Johnson Doyle didn’t even apologise .
The adviced against taking the pet to the vet STAY AWAY.
This poison literally makes the animal bleed to death.
They said on the first 3 visits that the poison was not harmful to our pet .Then when the poison was in our dogs mouth they said that well it was for rats.
They placed brodifacoum poison on the roof (even though they only found squirrel traces ).
A poison that is specifically used only on rats and it’s only meant to be for “For indoor use only”.
NOT IN AN ATTIC .
Same poison that was left on the floor covered in peanut butter .
Same poison my dog bit and literally half of it was in the mouth of our dog.
Sent an email to them explaining the situation only for them to say that the poison was intact.
Send an Email back asking for their intact poison as our vet wanted to see the amount swallowed only for them to completely ignore it.
Hard to take advice to leave the dog untreated when they leave poison in open spaces .
Again, poison for rats that was used to get rid of squirrels.
Not enough red flags to note !

Were sorry we couldn't come to an understanding with this issue. Our Senior Technician was adamant that the dog had not eaten any of the poison. We tried assuring you there was nothing to worry about and we felt it was right to offer to pay for any costs of medicine or treatments if the veterinary could provide us a report proving this. However, nothing was found. We will ensure to use this experience to improve our services and would like to use the opportunity to advise all customers to please allow our technicians to work and inspect in a calm environment where pets can be kept away from.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service, timely responses from both the office and the technician who visited our property, and expert knowledge of what needed doing. They also had a genuine concern that they'd fixed the problem with a welcome 6-month guarantee included.

First Call were much more reliable, knowledgeable and understanding than better known pest control companies.

Great work, easy and professional

Have you used first call once in our commercial unit once before when we had a rodent issue. The team were very helpful right from the start and were able to come to the location within an hours noticed. Danny, who was the surveyor who came to the property was very professional and walked us step by step on how we managed to get this problem and assured us that with a bit of work around the property we shouldn’t see the rodents come back. The job was done within an hour and we have never had another issue again. Great team, would highly recommend
