Stay away from this ripoff company

Used this company for an emergency electrical issue and deeply regret it.

Rip-off is an understatement. This company appears to prey on people dealing with stressful emergency situations who do not have the time to properly analyse the pricing structure before agreeing.

The contract and terms are written in an extremely aggressive way, heavily focused on extracting fees and protecting the company rather than treating customers fairly. Charges are layered through “per hour or part thereof” billing, administration surcharges, materials, VAT, and vague fee wording that is not clearly explained in plain English.

At the time, both my wife and I were busy working while dealing with the emergency situation, and my wife agreed to proceed after the engineer had already attended and assessed the issue. Had we fully appreciated the real pricing structure and likely final cost, we would never have agreed.

The most frustrating part is that the same issue reoccurred only a few weeks later after we had been told the fault was repaired, tested, and resolved. When we contacted the company again, they refused to attend unless we agreed to enter another premium emergency charging arrangement before any assessment had even taken place.

Emergency electricians charge more — everyone understands that. But this was far beyond that. In our experience, the entire setup appears designed to maximise billing from customers under pressure.

Stay away to stay alot of headache

Extortionate pricing and dishonest management

Totally unclear pricing structure. On the initial phone call, we were told about the call-out fee and that the technician would provide a quote after investigating the problem. Once the technician had arrived but before he started work, it transpired that the hourly rate is £260, which is charged even for part of an hour. I had a phone call with the gentleman in charge (Matthew) over the phone, who told me that the technician was a sub-contractor who controlled the pricing and that he would try to negotiate the price with the technician. A modest discount was agreed, after which it transpired that the technician does not set the price, nor did the company call the technician whilst I was on the phone with them - Matthew had simply lied to me.

In sum, this business is dishonest with its customers, completely unclear about pricing, and charges its customers extortionate rates.

DO NOT USE!!!

Stay away from them

First time I ever write a review. Shocking cost, unclear price structure.

Provided call-out fee but then charged double / triple normal electrician rates. In addition slapped an extra admin fee for processing my request of 15% of cost.

Absolutely do not use them for your jobs. Stay away.
