They've been nicer and easier to work with than any lender I've dealt with in years.

When you don't pay for things someone comes knocking for that money one way or another. As far as my experience with Firstsource Advantage goes, if someone has to be knocking I'd pick them every time.

I used Afterpay and was unable to keep up on payments after being laid off. Months went by and Firstsource had picked up the debt and simply emailed me. The email was extremely courteous, in no way demanding, they offered very reasonable payment plans with the option to create your own and even choose your start date. No one else has offered me that, others are calling me four times a day, sending letters in general being overbearing with borderline harassment behavior.

After several months of them emailing occasionally, and I do mean very occasionally, enough time in between to nearly forget about them, I reached out. Because of the way they handled the situation I actually wanted to do my best to pay the debt they held, despite being at the point I was considering filing bankruptcy. I explained that to them and a few short hours later I received a response from Michael my account manager. The response was to thank me for reaching out and sharing the details of my situation. They let me know they'd be placing my account on hold for two weeks. Two weeks that department wouldn't contact me so I could have some breathing room to focus on the other things going on in my life and not worry about the account in collections. I was floored, completely unprepared for a answer of that dynamic. Most of the lenders I go through haven't been that willing to work with me, let alone a collections agency! So I know it's not like you choose which collections agencies are calling you, but for those who are considering their services, hire them, I've never felt more inclined to pay a debt off without the feeling that it's a hassle or that I'm being harassed.
