Very poor service, rude and disrespectful

I contacted this specialist company some months ago asking them for a quote to build a wall on the boundary of my 17th century cottage. The small works manager said he would visit the site & get back to me with his thoughts and a quote. He did neither. When I chased him up some weeks later he said he had paid a site visit & had a chat with my husband who happened to be there at the time. I pointed out that I was expecting him to contact me (since I had instructed him) and that I was also waiting for his quote. He had not given the quote to my husband either. He gave me a ballpark figure for the job and said he would email some photographs of similar style walls they have built for other clients along with a detailed quote. Many more weeks went by & I received nothing. I then telephoned & left a message for him to ring me. He did not return my call. I called again a few weeks later & this time left a message via the receptionist that I would really like him to return my call so that we could progress things. He still did not return my call & neither the quote nor the photographs materialised. In frustration I sent an email to the company via their "contact sheet" on their website expressing my frustration at the poor service and virtually begging the small works manager to contact me. What I got instead was a formal written quote from said works manager, emailed to me via someone else. There were no photographs of examples of their work as he had promised & the quote itself was about 250% higher than the ballpark figure he had given me on the telephone months ago. It is clear to me that this company do not want my business. In my opinion a reputable, customer focused company would have said up front that they were too busy to quote and perhaps recommended alternative suppliers that I could contact. This company has treated me rudely and disrespectfully and on the back of this experience I would not recommend them to anyone else.
