Fiver failed to take simple ethical action

A seller (from pakistan) i had discussed project with, during the privy and privately discussed custom requirements of my project, the seller posted my project up as advertisement or gig he offers as service. Basically he took my custom project and offered the same built for others and posted it on his portfolio. That would be unethical, unprofessional, and inappropriate of the seller. Expectedly I then lodge complaint with Fiver. Unfortunately the fiver team took no action and did not reply on the issue. They gave a standard answer of looking into it, and then closed the ticket. Fiver could have easily responded to remove the gig. Instead it seems having more gigs is good business for Fiver.

Fiverr is currently holding my money without my consent.

In February 2026 I paid €608.15 for a Fiverr order. Immediately after payment, I was suddenly locked out of my Fiverr account due not being able to go through phone 2FA. I contacted Fiverr support multiple times asking for help regaining access OR cancelling/refunding the order because I literally could not access the account or the paid service.
After weeks (5), Fiverr restored access to my account.
Meanwhile, because I had no access to the order or support resolution, a bank dispute was opened. Once I regained access, I CANCELLED the dispute myself and informed Fiverr that the funds remain with the merchant (Fiverr), confirmed by Revolut.
Revolut officially confirmed:
the chargeback was cancelled,
Fiverr kept the settlement funds,
no refund was issued to me.
I also received an official Fiverr CREDIT INVOICE for the exact amount (€608.15), which indicates the order was credited/cancelled.
Now Fiverr support claims:
“the funds were released to the freelancer as part of the dispute outcome.”
This statement appears inconsistent with:
the cancelled order,
the credit invoice,
and Revolut’s written confirmation that the funds remain with Fiverr.
Also i haven't received any screenshot confirming that. On the other hand the freelancer shared his screenshot with me as a proof the order has been cancelled. Screenshot attached.
So currently:
the freelancer allegedly did not receive payment,
the order was cancelled,
the dispute was cancelled,
Fiverr has the funds,
and I still do not have my money back.
For months I have been going in circles between support messages without a proper explanation of where the money actually is.

Keeping my funds for 121 days

Keeping my funds for 121 days! Total wage theft and zero support.

Fiverr suspended my account on January 19 without a valid reason. According to their own Terms of Service, funds from disabled accounts are supposed to be released for withdrawal after 90 days. It has now been 121 days, and they still refuse to give me access to my money.I have sent numerous emails to support@fiverr., but I receive absolutely no response or helpful communication. They have gone completely silent while holding my hard-earned money hostage. This is an illegal breach of their own platform policies. Do not trust this platform with your freelance business—they will take your work, ban your account, and steal your money.

Run away from this platform!

Well, i was a user for quite some years, but it seems they allow any kind of seller in the platform.

Also neither do they refund you for the useless stuff they deliver, neither do they allow to add a review of the user after some days, so they don't really care about the users, run away from this platform!

PayPal paid Fiverr for work I had done which was not up to standard.
Fiverr did not pay the agent and didn't reimburse PayPal with my money.
I have tried endless emails with Fiverr to get my money back, they now don't respond to my mails.
Today I have had to pay PayPal again for this work that was never done.

DELIVERY OF PRODUCT NOT RECEIVED

when a freelancer does NOT deliver the proper files (the Vector files) and you've just paid $144 and now you can't them printed - you are hooped. The person who did the job is gone - and sadly, the customer support team at Fiverr is NIL. They will NOT respond. This company is brutal. They literally ignore you after you've paid. Worst experience

Worst experience . They have recruited fraud freelancers . Without starting a task he marked it as completed . And once marked as completed you can’t get a refund . It’s been more then 10 days fiver support not coming back . There is no way to contact them only create tickets where no one replies

This is a follow up

This is a follow up. Today, after not hearing from the freelancer, and lack of customer service and only a feedback form I thought how do I recover my investment forget about the emotional ups and downs this being my first ebook. So, I thought, this looks like a scam. You submit a project and freelance ruins it and actually tells you that they'll fix it and goes missing in action and there is justice for me here. I called my visa and disputed the charge. This may be something we all could do to claim our rights to quality products.

Zero seller protection against chargeback loophole

I’ve been a freelancer on Fiverr for over five years, but a recent experience exposed a massive loophole in their system that leaves sellers completely vulnerable.

A client successfully completed an order, explicitly confirmed their satisfaction in the order chat, and downloaded the final digital work. Months later, the client filed a chargeback through their bank, and the case was ruled against me.

Freelancers hand over 20% of every single transaction—including tips—with the expectation that Fiverr will protect both sides fairly. Instead, I spent weeks trapped in a loop of generic, automated customer support responses that completely avoided my direct questions.

When a supervisor finally stepped in, I was told that the details of the chargeback decision couldn't be shared due to "confidentiality and legal limitations." More frustratingly, support had previously assured me that even if the bank ruled against us, the case would be reviewed for seller compensation based on the completed work. Instead, they abruptly declared the case “not eligible” for protection, offering zero explanation as to why—despite clear text evidence in the order inbox proving the client received and approved the work.

This exposes a dangerous reality for digital freelancers on this platform: a dishonest buyer can consume your services, confirm satisfaction, and simply reverse their payment months later through their bank. Fiverr will not stand by you, and you will lose both your hard-earned money and your time.

For a platform built entirely on the backs of freelancers, the complete lack of safeguards against basic chargeback abuse is unacceptable. Fiverr needs to provide actual protection for its sellers, not just collect their 20%.

My account was unexpectedly deleted

My account was unexpectedly deleted, leaving me unable to access my order history, communicate with the developer working on my live website, or receive refunds I am owed.
I have two pending refunds from cancelled orders (FO83786D4EB08 and FO414C4DC4DC2) that have never been processed. I have an active project with my developer that I cannot continue because I cannot access the platform.
I opened two support tickets (#14509472 and #14513952). One agent replied once asking for details, which I provided immediately — and since then, complete silence. I followed up multiple times. No response.
This situation is directly affecting my business. My live website has technical issues that my developer was hired to fix, and I cannot reach him or move forward.
Can someone from Fiverr see this and finally refund me my money?? I’m happy to update this review if my issues are resolved.

I've been a Fiverr Seller Plus…

I've been a Fiverr Seller Plus subscriber and have always paid my subscription monthly without any issues. Recently, I was shocked to see a $225 hold placed on my account despite not having any outstanding balance, overdraft, or unpaid fees with Fiverr.

As far as I understand, if any charge should apply, it should only be the regular monthly subscription fee for my current cycle (May 10 – June 10), not a large unexpected amount. I never agreed to a yearly plan, and if this is related to an automatic annual charge or upgrade, it should be made clearer before placing such holds on a seller's account.

I've already opened a support ticket and hope Fiverr reviews this issue quickly because this amount is not affordable for me at the moment. As a long-time user, unexpected billing situations like this can be stressful and disappointing.

I hope Fiverr support can resolve this soon and improve communication around subscription charges to avoid similar situations for other sellers.

Bought 1000$ SEO service from a freelancer in fiverr , but he delivered nothing. scam website and over charging and No support on fiverr. Only AI bots.
On the other hand Sellersell Provided the same service for 500$ and ontime.

Complaint Regarding SEO Services Purchased Through Fiverr

Hello,

I hired a freelancer through Fiverr for off-page SEO services, and we worked together for approximately 4 months. Unfortunately, after these SEO activities, my websites experienced severe damage. Their impressions and traffic have drastically dropped, and some of the websites have almost completely lost visibility.

I have contacted Fiverr customer support multiple times regarding this issue, but I have not received any proper response or assistance so far.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could investigate this matter and provide support, as the damage caused to my websites has become very serious.

Yet another online platform that sends…

Yet another online platform that sends you around in circles. I'm attempting to get invoices. I realise I hadn't checked the right box ages ago, so I need the invoices/receipts issued retrospectively now. Instead, I just get stuff about my email address, which I can't resolve either because of Fiverr's lack of response. It's such a yawn. It's a good platform, but this kind of backroom stuff is just exhausting. If you read this, Fiverr, please HELP!

Do not use this company

Do not use this company, I have had a bad experience and ive asked for my previous reviews on a particular person to be removed as at the time I thought what they did was real bit they used bots and FAKE STREAMS. Fiverr are no help at resolving the issue.
