My vehicle sustained damage, so I was back for a second time for repairs;
Things done well:
- The garage by in large did a good job on the actual repairs (just a few theething problems that needed sorting),
- Some minor damage was caused to my vehicle while in their possession for repairs, but the garage did rectify these issues immediately and had my vehicle ready later that day,
- Despite the issues I had, the after care provided by the quality controller (Donald) and Site Manager (Andrew) was second to none. I was extremely happy in how they treated me. They was polite, courteous, understanding and helpful. They made up for the bad experince re customer service (see below).
Things to improve:
- Be more careful in the handling of the vehicle as this is the second time my car hasn't come out as it went in (when setting aside the repair job itself).
- As per my last review, I would highly recommend ensuring the customer signs the courtesy car document so there is no argument on the T&C's. It was confirmed to me that I would not have been held to these conditions because they was not signed for in the event that the garaged relied upon them.
- Lastly, the customer service displayed by one of the receptionist (won't name her but garage is fully aware of who this refers to). Her behaviour was absolutley reprehensible and she let down her company down. She deliberately denied me the opportunity to speak to the quality controller on two occasions (said he wasn't available when he confirmed to me that he was and always is), she also avoided addressing a specific issue I raised in email, she also said she would update me but all bar one occasion I had to chase her (before Lynzi and Shona took over who was extremely helpful), she was rude, nasty and applied bully tactics (Saying that if I didn't pay for a small scratch on the courtesy car - which I dispute and she refused to properly look at my evidence - then she would make sure it would go down as a claim on my insurance - thus, trying to obtain payment in a devious way) & Lastly my car had to stay over night because she refused to get out of her office to come and assit me. She could have either looked visually at the damage or taken pictures of it to allow me to drive the car away that night so there was no dispute the next morning. Due to her lack of effort I had to leave the car where it was and return the next morning to speak to the quality controller. She may argue it was close to the end of the day but there was still 30-45 minutes left and the pictured would have taken max 5 minutes. Just extremely poor customer service on her part and I hope the site manager actions this because I will be informing my insurance of her behaviour and fix auto.
Overall, I had a mixed experience this time round leaning towards negative. If it wasn't for Doanld, Andrew, Lynzi and Shon, this review would have been far worse.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. When I arrived at the appointed time for the assessment of the damage to my car I was dealt with immediately. My car was ready for me to pick up on the date of the estimate for completion

First the good, the staff were friendly and communication was very good. They have a good system.
The bad. It took more than 2 months to get the repair done and when it did go in it was also slow. I went through the insurance so can't comment on price but I did ask for a quote on a small bump and the price quoted was very high. So a mixed bag, I definitely wouldn't recommend if you're paying out of your own pocket, but I doubt they get much business that way (this is an opinion)

Communication was accurate and professional through the whole process. Staff at Ashgrove Motor Body Bridge of Don were friendly, helpful and professional, particularly Valeen and Donald, who went the extra mile to ensure the repair process was completely stress free. Repairs were to a high standard, and when the car was delivered to Ashgrove the turnaround was very fast. The automated updates and progress tools were also a great addition. I was nervous putting my car to a repair shop I haven’t used before. I have a relatively new Audi Q5 with a particular colour of Black, so it’s a very awkward repair. I can honestly say I would return to Ashgrove for repairs in the future, not just due to the repair quality, but the service from the team too!

Nothing was too much trouble for the admin staff to sort out.
The staff assessing the damage were very efficient in making sure all the damage was assessed thoroughly.
The liaison between me, the staff at Autifix, and the insurers was excellent.
Altogether everyone did a first class job and I am really pleased how smoothly it all went and with the standard of the repairs to my car.

Disappointing from the outset. They ignored the first automated notification from my insurers which delayed the repairs. I dropped my car off for the repair, as arranged 6 weeks prior, only to be phoned a couple of hours later to be told that they didn't have the part and to come and collect it. This was incredibly frustrating when I had made plans in advance for the period I would be without a car. Surely you plan ahead and order in parts in advance? When I turned up to collect my car, I was told of an alternative option which I was happy to take, however this was not offered to me on the phone which resulted in a huge waste of my time. No apology was offered at that stage, we were just met with rudeness and a defensive attitude. When I went to collect the car, of course I was advised to check the repair and make sure I was happy with it. Naively, I only checked the front bumper area and was happy and drove away (not thinking I'd need to check the entire car for damage, assuming they would not cause any excess damage!). I got home to discover a scratch mark on the rear door, clearly caused by a tool being scraped across the door. I see from other comments this isn't an isolated incident. When I reported it that evening I was told it was absolutely not them and I had obviously damaged it on the drive home. I am 100% confident it happened in their care due to their own negligence. The front bumper sensors now beep sporadically now too which, because I have noticed only since leaving the garage, will be absolutely nothing to do with their poor workmanship, I am sure! I probably knocked them off when I hit my rear door with that tool, silly me. And I tried to take this up with them over the phone and email, but unfortunately I was either ignored or met with the same patronising attitude (from the same person who gave me attitude when we visited the garage). When this was escalated to the MD at my request due to the conflict of interest, I was met with radio silence. Honestly, if you have the choice - AVOID!

Just back from picking up my car that was in for a rear bumper re spray. The work done on the bumper is good and it was all done in a timely manner. However I have noticed damage to the wheel nuts on the rear wheels that I find disappointing. For this reason I wouldn’t use this body shop again as this is poor attention to detail. I am satisfied with the repair but not satisfied with the damage caused. If the company really are disappointed with my review they are welcome to get in touch but I have heard nothing.
