1. Warranty & condition of the screen
To clarify upfront, the screen was found to have physical damage upon inspection, which we have documented and shared with you via photos. This is why each screen is supplied with a warranty void sticker, and we strongly recommend performing a full test before final installation. Once installed, there is a higher risk of damage during the process, which is why warranty coverage becomes limited. During your visit, we did offer you the option of a refund before the screen was separated, however you chose not to proceed at that time.
Regarding the restocking fee, it varies depending on the payment method due to non-refundable transaction fees charged by our payment provider. We’re always happy to confirm the exact amount when contacted directly. Again, the Brisbane location is a collection hub only and is not set up to process refunds or handle return assessments on the spot, as these are managed through our online system.
2. Soft OLED product information
Thanks for your feedback — you are the first customer to raise this type of concern with the Soft OLED screen, particularly regarding colour differences at very low brightness levels. The screen you purchased is an aftermarket product. Matching the exact colour tone and brightness of an original Apple display requires Apple’s proprietary calibration hardware and software, which is not accessible to third-party manufacturers.
At the price point offered, achieving a true OEM-level match — particularly at very low brightness — is not realistically possible. Among Australian-based suppliers, our pricing is highly competitive, with lower-priced alternatives typically coming from overseas marketplaces (such as AliExpress) without local warranty or support.
3. Toolkit quality
The toolkit you purchased is an entry-level kit, designed for general DIY use and beginners. While it may not compare to professional-grade tools, it is suitable for standard repair tasks. For customers requiring higher-end tools, we do offer more premium options at a higher price point.
