Be warned: their wardrobes come flat packed
If spending your weekends on self assembly with countless screws of different sizes is your thing, then you'll just love a Flatpack wardrobe from Flanagan's.
The fact that their wardrobes require home assembly is not clearly visible when you're placing the order....I paid a carpenter to assemble mine. They charge 20% of the product value to send it back. Would have preferred to have got a Flatpack wardrobe from IKEA as it would have been better quality.

Do not order from this company. From my experience, I could have written any of the reviews they have already received. Had to continually keep ringing to try get my order. Got fictitious tracking numbers. Took about eight weeks to receive an item that was in stock. Please avoid. They really broke my heart. So sad to see an Irish business deliver such poor service. No wonder Amazon is thriving.
Poor customer service
Ordered from them, got no confirmation email or tracking number or nothing. Phones them and they said they had my order and it will be two months. Order arrived and the console table is beautiful but there draw is faulty, emailed 3 weeks ago and 2 weeks ago about it and have heard nothing from them. Very frustrating when the furniture is expensive.

They are an absolute shower to deal with. Customer service is non existent & the staff have no knowledge or expertise of the furniture they sell. I was sold 2 items from a collection that do not fit together, even though I asked them repeatedly to check the measurements & was assured they fitted together. And then they had to cheek to try & charge me a restock fee to return! I'll use it as firewood before I give them another cent.

Then i was told it would take 2 to 3 weeks foe delivery, tgis from an irish company is unacceptable.

Ordered a nest of tables on Nov 6th 2022. Its now January 1st 2023 and items still not delivered. They blame the delivery company and have now not replied to my last 2 emails. Never go near these crowd of chancers again.

In terms of customer service, Flanagans pretty much scrape the bottom of the barrel. Having ordered and paid online for an item of furniture, described as 'being in stock', we spent the next 7 weeks receiving broken promises of delivery. I'm not sure what 'early next week' means in Flanagan speak but to me it means 'You won't be hearing from us until you've pulled all of your hair out'. When we finally lost patience and requested a refund, we didn't as much as receive an acknowledgement of their failings never mind an apology!! Guys, you won't be in business for very long if you continue to treat your customers in this way. The internet exposes such shoddy practices these days. Just be honest! Give us a realistic timeframe to work with, and for God's sake, stick to it!!

Do NOT order from this company! I ordered a desk, two bookcases and four chairs and inquired about an assembly service. They told me that wouldn’t be an issue and could be done for an additional €150. Total nightmare!!! Their assembly team can’t handle the demand, their customer service team is appalling and I’m finding myself without furniture.

I don’t want to repeat similar bad feedback like most other reviews you could see here, such as bad or no customer service, delay on delivery, assemble difficulties etc. Because I had the same bad experience. The difference here is the CEO rang me informing me she was a barrister and told me she would be head-to-head with me if I brought a case to the small claims count. Below is the case.
I bought 4 chairs and received 3 after 6 weeks. I immediately contacted Flanagans regarding my missing chair by both phone and email. They didn’t ask me which box I received but they said there were two boxes, and they would contact the courier. I waited for feedback for 4 weeks, and after chasing for update eventually they just said, the courier said they delivered all 4 chairs. END OF THE STORY. They tried to wash their hands of it and did not take any responsibility. I got my refund within hours after informing them I would be filing a complaint with CCPC. Even though they issued the refund, they still maintained the courier had delivered both boxes, implying we received the 4th chair and did not deserve the refund.
I am not familiar with my consumer right, CCPC advised that if the business does not deliver the full order within 30 days, you could request the full refund. Therefore, I filed a chargeback on PayPal with the reason being I received the items, but it was delayed. I would love to return the 3 chairs at this stage after dealing with Flanagans. We rarely used those 3 chairs as they were left in another room waiting for the 4th to arrive. I received a phone call from the CEO of the Flanagans not long after the chargeback was filed. She told me that they had issued the refund for the chair I didn’t receive, so I have no grounds to request this chargeback on the 3 chairs I had received. During the phone call, the CEO tried to get me to confirm that I had already used the chairs and didn’t have the original package, which didn’t meet their return requirements. At some point, I was informed that the phone call was recorded, but I was NOT asked for my consent before the phone call was recorded. The CEO said that she was a barrister and she would raise a claim against me, informing me that I will lose my PayPal account, and be reported to the Garda if I don’t withdraw the chargeback. The phone call was not pleasant, and I felt threatened. Feeling threatened made me angry and I said I intend to bring this to the small claims court. She said she would go head-to-head with me on this and would raise a counterclaim against me.
I rang the CCPC again on this, I was told unfortunately as Flanagans had issued the refund on the missing chair implied I had accepted a settlement already. As I am not a barrister and don’t know how to play with the rules, I withdrawer the chargeback on PayPal and didn’t bring this case to the small claims court.
Its ironic that it’s so hard to get feedback or updates from their customer service, but the minute you told them you would file a complaint to CCPC or intend to file a chargeback on PayPal, they respond to you within hours. Looking at other people’s review and saw some people couldn’t even get their refund back month after month. It’s shocking to know there are business like this around.
I purchased a wardrobe online
I purchased a wardrobe online. The terms and conditions say that some items are flat packed and require assembly- please check. I checked everything about this wardrobe before purchasing. and it said nothing about it requiring assembly. I paid excess €600 for it. It arrived in 2 flat packs, requiring assembly, at my cost. Did you ever hear the like? At least with IKEA you know you're getting flat packs and they are priced accordingly. At the price I paid I would expect to get an assembled wardrobe. I have been in contact with Flanagans and their response has been very unsatisfactory. Never again. Be warned

After reading some of the reviews I was cautious ordering but i'm glad I did. I ordered a wardrobe on Friday and it arrived the following Tuesday. I haven't got around to building it yet but it looks good quality and strong The instructions are step by step and very discriptive. Would order again

Shocking service. Damaged Goods not Replaced
I ordered some beds and bedroom furniture on behalf of a client. All items were described as in stock on the website at the time of the order and it was confirmed by email that it would take one week to deliver. Six weeks later the beds finally arrived. I had paid for assembly of the beds and once they were installed it became apparent that there was damage to one of the beds. Flanagans have refused to engage on this matter - no reply to any emails. Shocking service. I definitely won't be ordering anything from Flanagans again.
