The colors on the webshop does not match the product.

Shopping at Flapbanken is a mixed experience. There was quite a long delivery time. We were aware of that when ordering, and the delivery did happen within the indicated time frame, so we have no complaints on that side.

Finally arrived and unpacked, the couch is also very comfortable for both sitting and lying. Easily assembled and easily placed/relocated. No complaints on that area either.

Our only disappointment is the color. When ordering, we went for the Blush Pink Lego Bank. We chose that color because the others were really too pink. When first unpacked, we noticed that the color was a bit more "deep" than expected, but we initially attributed that to the lighting (evening). In the daylight of the next day, however, it was obvious that the Blush Pink matched the Gedroogde Pink in the pictures on the website. Upon inquiry, we were provided with a comparative picture of the fabrics on the two, that just confirmed it.

This is a good product, but the colors on the webshop does not match the product. And the color was very important for choosing Flapbanken in the first place.

Wrong color sofa- radio silence-bad service!

Three months ago I received my sofa in the wrong color. Before it was shipped, I even sent a photo and the color sample number via the app to confirm they would send the correct color. I was assured it would be correct, but it wasn’t.
At first they responded quickly and promised new covers (or a dsicount), but after three months nothing has been sent and now they ignore my messages completely. Total radio silence.
This level of service is honestly unacceptable. I also think the sofa is overpriced compared to the quality you get. I’m extremely frustrated and regret not spending a bit more for the original OHMU design.
I would not recommend doing business with them!

You originally requested fabric samples approximately 4 months before placing your order, and we shipped those samples to you within 3 business days. Your order was placed about 4 months after you received the samples, for the color INDIGO.

During those 4 months, we updated our fabric catalog by adding 6 new colors and making slight adjustments to some existing shades. Indigo was one of the colors that underwent a tone adjustment. We sincerely apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

To resolve the situation, we offered to send replacement covers in a different color to ensure your satisfaction. Unfortunately, this solution was not accepted.

We are genuinely sorry that we were not able to meet your expectations in this case. Our intention is always to find a fair and reasonable solution for our customers. If you are still open to discussing this, we would be happy to assist you further.

Would never recommend buying here (part…

Why I'll never buy here again (part 2).
After receiving the not really free samples, Flapbanken asked why I hadn't purchased a flapbank yet. Having the previous experience freshly in my mind, I didn’t want to pay more than the price seen on their website. I was guaranteed that any additional costs (import, customs, delivery etc.) would not be anything I had to worry about, they would cover it all. So, I purchased. And here begins the misery.

Customs kept my package for over 2 months because I had to prove its worth. I had to sort this all out myself with import documents I did not have.
My experience with FedEx was also horrible. Called with them many times, they randomly deliver half of the packages, then the other half they lost for a few weeks and finally they deliver it in front of my building. Both packages came in damaged and with 2 of the 4 cushions never delivered. When I asked them how they were going to make up for this damaged, incomplete couch, I got replied with "it is still functional".

On top of that I received an invoice from FedEx, demanding me to pay €438 for the import and storage costs at customs for so long. I fastforwarded this invoice to Flapbanken, reminding them of their own promise that no additional costs would be mine to pay. They said they’d take care of it and then they didn't. I received two more urgent invoices of FedEx because the invoice was still not being paid for. Contacted Flapbanken for weeks on all their platforms - e-mail, whatsapp, social media. They read my messages but months later still not a word back from them.

Now, months later they did reach out. To bribe me so I would take this review offline.

Edit: I never ordered a LEGO bank (I order an open corner flapbank), nor do I have or ever had two units in my possession. Despite the initial delay, no proactive actions were undertaken at all.
I had to promise to take this review offline in order to get my FedEx costs back.
The sofa I did receive was damaged and incomplete - to which this team responded that it is still functional.
For this inconvenience I did pursue a partial refund, which I was promised to get once I took my reviews offline. In the end Flapbanken paid for the FedEx invoice, which was never mine to pay + a partial refund. Final settlement: I still paid 55% of the total price, not 20% like they claim. And no, I do not have a spare LEGO bank. Maybe confused me with other clients that are not happy with your services.

We must clearly state that several claims in this review are factually incorrect and misrepresent what actually happened.

First, being invoiced directly by FedEx is not a standard or expected situation. Despite this, in order to resolve the issue, we paid the full FedEx invoice on the customer’s behalf.

Due to the prolonged delay caused by FedEx, we proactively shipped a replacement LEGO BANK to ensure the customer would not be left without their product. Approximately two weeks after the replacement was delivered, FedEx finally delivered the delayed original shipment as well. As a result, the customer currently has two LEGO BANK units in their possession.

Despite this resolution, we received a one-star review. When our team contacted the reviewer to understand the reason, we were informed that a full refund was being demanded, accompanied by statements that additional negative reviews would be posted if this demand was not met.

In order to end the dispute and avoid further escalation, we issued a refund of nearly 80% of the total order value. After this refund was processed, an additional negative review was published.

At present, the reviewer has paid approximately 20% of the original order value while retaining two products.

We fully acknowledge that issues can arise with third-party carriers such as FedEx, and when they do, we consistently take responsibility, cover additional costs, and work toward a resolution as we did in this case. However, we strongly disagree with the way events are portrayed here and believe this review does not provide an accurate or fair account of the situation.

First the sofa order was lost and I had…

First the sofa order was lost and I had to track it down. Then sofa is falling apart so I emailed support to initiate return but they said bands are missing so they will send it. Despite me emailing them like 10 times they dragged or ignore so finally return window was gone. Dont buy from them at all!!

We are not sure what you mean by saying that your order was “lost.” After you placed your order, your sofa was delivered by FedEx in two separate packages. The packages were delivered one day apart, which was entirely due to FedEx, and we apologized for this inconvenience. Both packages were shipped at the same time, but FedEx sometimes delivers them on different days — we are sorry for the confusion this caused.

Regarding the adhesive bands for the metal rods, you requested them and we sent them to you free of charge.

We respond to all emails and WhatsApp messages within 1–2 hours, and always within 24 hours at the latest during busy periods. We never ignore or delay our customers.

Additionally, your return window has not expired. Please reply to the email we sent you so we can proceed with your return.

product great, delivery awful

The sofa itself is very nice and super comfortable — I’m really happy with the quality once it finally arrived. Unfortunately, the delivery was a real pain: TNT took two weeks and then abandoned the sofa in front of my building on a rainy day, where it could easily have been stolen. The whole process made me very stressed and at one point I even thought it might be a fraud — which of course it wasn’t. I really hope Flapbanken changes their delivery company, because the product is great but the service really drags the experience down.

Excellent and patient customerservice, fast shipping and pleasantly surprised by its quality! Uitstekende en geduldige klantenservice, snelle verzending en aangenaam verrast door de kwaliteit!

ENG: I must admit that I had my reservation about Flapbanken given they currently don't have a showroom and it felt like quite a gamble to purchase a couch online from a webshop this young. However I took the chance and boy am I happy I did!

First of the customerservice experience through Whatsapp was very helpfull and were they very patient with me to answer all my additional questions. I really appreciated this alot because it comforted and reassured me to decide to eventually place my order with them(the "Lego Bank Open Hoek" + "Extra Dekking").

The online purchaseprocess en shipping with track and trace through TNT/Fed Ex was real easy to follow. The delivery was even a day earlier. I recieved everything securely packed in boxes then "vacum" wrapped in plastic. The unpacking and assembly all coudn't have been a more easier process.

Now for the product itself in my case I ordered the "Lego Bank Open Hoek" + "Extra Dekking". I am so impressed with the look and sturdy quality of the couch! I love sitting on it and being able to change my living room setup according to expected visitors or what I'm in the mood for myself. I am over the moon happy with my purchase and so glad I gave Flapbanken the benefit of the doubt and they really exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much, a very happy customer here. :)

NL: Ik moet toegeven dat ik mijn bedenkingen had bij Flapbanken, aangezien ze op dit moment geen showroom hebben en het voelde als een behoorlijke gok om online een bank te kopen bij een webshop die nog zo jong is. Toch heb ik de gok genomen en wat ben ik blij dat ik dat gedaan heb!

Bad quality, bad service, aggressive seller

The guy that owns this company, owns a few more also related to furniture. He is from Turkey and so are the products. The product quality is definitely bad (especially compared to OMHU, which he already confessed he has no copyright to sell or display images of these sofas online). Moreover he offered me a no hassle, no questions asked free return and he really talked big about his service. In the end we were not satisfied with the product (delivered with missing accessories) and when I asked him to pick it up as promised he became aggressive. He also tried to charge me 400 eur for the return. I ended up disputing this with our credit card and they also agreed giving us a full refund. Just stay away and buy from reputable brands.

This site is completely fake, do not buy from them. They are advertising products in the netherlands and the website host and company are a shopify account based out of Toronto Canada. Save your money
