My wife and daughter abandoned by FlightN in the depths of Brazil

We bought two return tickets for my wife and my daughter for Cascavel in Brazil, departing from Lyon.
Cascavel is a very small town, connections are not daily.
On our return, FlightN sent us boarding passes for connections from São Paulo - Madrid - Lyon.
For the first flight from Cascavel to São Paulo, they asked us to present ourselves at the company counter.
Have you guessed the problem? they could not send us the boarding passes for the first flight since the airline was not operating that day.
Everyone makes a mistake, how did FlightN handle their mistake?
By refusing to organize a new flight and abandoning my wife and my daughter in the depths of Brazil. No compensation for lost flights and connections.
I had to buy a new ticket, almost as expensive as the initial return trip (€2,500).

Name Correction

I booked a flight via FlightNetwork from London HTW to Kolkata with Air India for next February. Immediately after booking I realised that I had forgotten to include my middle name, so I called the helpline and did get through fairly quickly. The FlightNetwork agent asked me to email them with a copy of my passport, which I did. I thought it would be a simple matter of contacting Air India and getting the middle name inserted. Weeks went by with no news of the correction. I called from time to time and told there was a big queue of customers wanting name changes and that it would incur a cost. Eventually they sent me a 'payment link' for £84 which I reluctantly paid and thought that would be the end of it. Again weeks went by with no confirmation of the change, so I called again. Finally I got an email to say that Air India were not replying to my request and the case was closed. They also asked me to contact Air India myself, which I did. Air India explained that their procedures required that I should 'register a case' which would be considered and approved, or maybe not. I would have to cancel my flight and re-book. As a result I cancelled the flight and also my trip to Kolkata as there were other reasons not to go and this was the last straw. Flight Network did refund my flight straightaway, less £211, and told me they would also refund the £84 for the correction which was not done. They even gave me a refund reference number. That was in August. However, I'm still waiting.

BEWARE OF USING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING…

BEWARE OF USING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING THREE AGENCIES:

Mytrip.com, Gotogate or Flight network.

They are all owned and managed by the same Swedish company Etraveli Group AB

Unfortunately, I didn’t read the bad reviews about ‘my trip’ before purchasing a ticket through them. They advertised that my baggage allowance was 23kg however after purchase I immediately saw that only 15kg was included. After filling in no fewer than 5 claim forms that they sent me, each a repetition of the previous one, in addition to 3 phone calls that I made to them, without getting any joy, I eventually contacted the credit card company, I had used to pay the ticket with who refunded me payment for luggage after they also got no response from the agency.
Customer service for these three companies is one and the same and my recommendation in line with hundreds of other unhappy customers is TO STAY AWAY from using them.

NO refund after 18 months from cancelled covid 19 flight

I booked flights for Christmas 2021 and they were cancelled due to Covid 19, I've sent emails, I've called their customer services and I've still NOT got got my refund. My husband received his refund over 1 year ago. But I just keep being told to be patient. It's disgraceful. I'll never book a flight with Flight network again.

Avoid at all costs...9 months and still no refund

Unfortunately unable to give 0 stars...this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Zero customer support, as with other reviews. Flights cancelled back I May 2022, I was still waiting a refund in Dec 22. Contact them on the phone to be told check the website. Speak to the airline and referred back to Flightnetwork. Revolving door conversation with no progress. Escalated chargeback to CC company, flight network then claimed they were not progressing a refund and it wasn't their liability just the airlines. 9 months on and no sign of the £2400 refund I am owed. Despicable behaviour, no customer service, no escalation process. Do not touch this company with a bargepole unless you want to loose your money

CAN’T BELIEVE THEY'RE ALLOWED TO OPERATE

They appear to be a legit agent, showing just like any other when searching for tickets online.
I booked tickets (in Aug 2022) for Nov 2022 - Jan 2023 travel Brisbane to Bangkok and return - Cathay Pacific one way and Eva Air the other - at a cost of around AUD4000.
Soon after, I received an email advising of changes to one journey and cancellation of the other - a refund was offered for the cancelled flights and I reluctantly agreed to pay AUD46 for this ‘service’. No refund was immediately forthcoming.
Then, two weeks ago, I was advised that ALL of my flights had been cancelled ‘due to Covid’!
After continually pestering them a refund of $1330 appeared in my account about a week later. They now claim that the full amount has been refunded despite my bank confirming it has not. Further, they claim the amount refunded was USD427 which does not equate to any journey, flight or even AUD1330.
To add insult to injury, I have just now received a flight reminder from Cathay Pacific for this week’s flights!
So, I’m still waiting for the couple of thousand they continue to lie about, have had to book flights elsewhere at further expense, and now apparently still have valid tickets I’ll no longer be using with Cathay Pacific.
Seems their tactic is to talk around in circles and feign confusion in an effort to force you to simply give up.
Surely this agent has been reported before?
The airlines themselves will not directly refund money to customers who have booked through an agent, but have they not realised something is not right here - how do they continue to allow this ‘agent’ to sell tickets on their behalf?

Flight cancelled and terrible help!

terrible experience with the agent. i received a generic email that my flight was cancelled or rescheduled. when i called, they offered me another flight time which they then said needed to be emailed to the airline for them to authorise and for me to wait 3 to 5 days. I waited for one week and called them after not hearing anything.

the agent said they cannot call the airline now to chase as it was too late and for me to chase them the next day. They should have chased this up themselves before I had to call them! I had no choice but to call the next day and was told by another operator that i should call the airline myself (with email to prove). Of course, I called the airline and they told me I booked my flights through the agent so they should arrange the flight change!!

So, then i called back flight network again, and this time the operator told me my change was never sent to the airline for authorisation!! He just sent it now and told me over the phone that it has been authorised and he would send me an email to confirm that while this is being sent to the ticketing team to reissue the tickets.

BUT, once i put the phone down, I received an email from them to check tripcase.com for my new itinerary and OFC I cannot find my new itinerary.

This is pure nightmare dealing with this agent. Right now, i do not even have a returned flight home confirmed and the agent is not assuring me anything that they are settling it. i have to call to chase them! Never book with them ever!

Absolutely the worst customer service…

Absolutely the worst customer service on the planet! On a 3 leg flight from London to Auckland the airline has cancelled the middle flight. For about 8 weeks now we have beim trying to resolve this. Normally the booking agent would be proactive and offer an alternative but this has not happened. We have spent hours calling the airlines involved directly but they won’t make changes because these have to be requested by Flightnetwork.
Calling their customer service we have been cut off several times when the agent realised there is a bit of work Involved. Then a friendly voice (with a strong accent) assures us that the request has been escalated to the team and will be resolved in the next 3-5 days. I’ve now heard this 4 times taking us to 4 weeks of no further progress. The airline is telling me that the change we need can be made and they are happy to do so but Flightnetwork is not directing the request for us to the right place. Flightnetwork seem incompetent, don’t care and are not proactive and only reactive at best when the customers keeps pushing at great cost and effort at the mercy of the call centre. This seems a fairly simple change, the airline has offered an alternative flight so we can complete our journey. It has taken OPODO 1/2 day to make this change ( another member of the travel party had booked the same trip with them) so it is possible. I could have done it in 1/2 day with the airline directly but they are only dealing with the ticket agent - in this case this awful company - which is a pain in itself as I am the customer and pay the airline and the agent.
Avoid this company !

Steer clear

Totally agree with all of the other negative comments. Flight cancelled by Turkish airlines and six weeks down the line I’m still waiting for a refund. The customer services line I think is occupied by dead people. I have been quoted as being 40th in the queue 47th 72nd 97th and 97th and more.I think this is just a way of trying to get you to go away. Use at your own risk

Do not book through this company!! They are a nightmare..

This company is an absolute disgrace and I do not understand how skyscanner still allows them to operate. I booked flights nearly a year ago and the airline cancelled them within 24 hours(nothing to do with covid). I have emailed and called nearly everyday and they just send you round in loops with no one doing anything! It is so infuriating and then last week they have disconnected the phone line. Has anyone had any success getting their money back??

How can this be allowed to happen

How can this be allowed to happen? A company operating on Skyscanner refusing to refund when the actual airline have cancelled the flight. They keep asking for bank details when the refund should automatically be sent back to the original payment card. Disgraceful customer service. Over two months on and still no refund. Email them every day and nothing. People are being robbed of their money.
