Is it a scam?????

Not sure whether it's an aviation company or scam. Take bookings and cancel or reschedule flights destroying the passenger's plans. No customer service number or enquiry numbers. Worst chat service which cannot provide any proper support. I had one booking I will never ever use this flight service.

Con artists

Con artists - don’t use them! Cancelled our flight on the day even though it was delayed the day before, so they knew there was an issue. we werent even notified of the cancellation we saw it on the board! try and contact them regarding refund and compensation and radio silence. not a legitimate airline, dont use them.

Just secured more tickets with Bonza…

Just secured more tickets with Bonza Airways for September. I've bought more, and I'm hopeful the experiences will be just as good as before. Safe travels ahead!

On a related note, my experience with Bonsai Airways was exceptionally smooth during our recent flights to the Gold Coast. Not only were both flights punctual, but the entire journey was marked by a seamless process. The airline staff displayed a commendable level of friendliness, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere.

Admittedly, I was initially hesitant to choose Bonsai Airways, considering the prevalence of negative feedback and the airline's relatively brief operational history of just over a year. However, recognizing that teething issues are inevitable in the early stages of any business, I decided to take the chance.

Fortunately, my decision proved to be a wise one, as any potential kinks did not impact the enjoyment of my holiday. The flights were reliable, and the service exceeded my expectations, making for a fantastic travel experience. I appreciate Bonsai Airways for providing a positive and memorable journey to the Gold Coast.

I've tried contacting Bonza through the App chat line. Waited hours over 4 days. Absolutely hopeless, needed my confirmation number to check my booking. I didn't receive any emails either.

Absolute shambles of a company.

Absolute shambles of a company.
Zero customer service, they put their head in the sand and hope these thousands of unhappy people will eventually forgive and forget. I expect to see ‘liquidation’ mentioned in the not so distant future.
What an unremarkable entrance into the industry!!

Hopeless

Cannot be trusted. Cancelled flights and didn't bother to tell the booked customers who have to find out by accident. There is no customer service and refunds will take at least 28 days, probably more. Avoid this airline.
Would have given zero if this was an option.
Update: A month after cancelled flights, they're now inviting passengers to check in for the cancelled flight. Repeat - hopeless!
Further Update: This airline's a disgrace. Still haven't received refund for flights cancelled well over a month ago. They should be ashamed of themselves.

My experience was great...First time I could fly between Whitsunday Coast and Coolangatta..Loved it ! Love the all Aussie in flight menu .the plane was nice too ! I hope they can maintain the route ..the last 15mins was like a scenic flight

Avoid Bonza!

Avoid Bonza!Bonza cancelled our flight 6hrs prior leaving us scrambling to find another flight back via a different airline, this came at a heavy cost having to book a same day flight, we also had a hire car due back at Avalon airport, our new flight was from Tullamarine so we had an additional cost to change the drop off point, also having to race to get to our now earlier flight left us no time to refuel the hire car therefore we were charged double at approx. $4.50 per litre, more money lost. The link Bonza sent for a refund did not accept our flight number, they have no email or phone assistance to get help. Tried to contact them via the only way possible via their Chat link on their App/website, this was during their reported available hours, they didn’t respond until the following afternoon yet you’re not told how long the expected wait time is, or if anyone has even seen your original message adding to the stress. Now I have to wait up to 28 days to see if they’ve refunded me. Booking with Bonza ended up being an expensive mistake.

Bonza airlines are trying to cut costs…

Bonza airlines are trying to cut costs by having passengers use an App only. But in the long term they will lose lots of customers Most times their app never worked for me as I live in a more remote area I would prefer to book on Skyscanner even if the fare cost slightly more and print out the paper copy . Passengers also need the option of having direct human contact not a chat system that takes hours to connect When I was on their airline my app never worked to order a meal The staff said she would come back to help me but she never leaving me without a meal .Often in business it is 100 times harder to get an new customer than keep an existing customers .Bonza airlines needs to improve their customer service otherwise they will lose a lot of business .If they cancel a flight the money should be refunded immediately or offer a new flight Many people need flights to run on time for example to attend to funerals .weddings . deaths in the family etc and by not honouring their bookings it can cause a lot of stress to passengers The government needs to have a code of conduct for airline passengers like in some countries and if airlines breach the code they need to pay compensation to the passengers

Regretfully one of my relatives had an…

Regretfully one of my relatives had an emergency to flight back overseas, no contact number, tried to email did not get an email back from them after more than 7 days. Booked another flight in the meantime. When customer service got back to me, they stated that no refund will be given but instead to contact my travel insurance and to tell them that my flight was cancelled. This company is not worthy and do not even worth 1 star. Their flight attendances are so rude, no customer service at all.

DO NOT RECOMMEND

The whole experience with bonza is digital pp, their live chat is absolutely worthless. As after many hrs no one has viewed or replied , the app is not highly descriptive about check in and you receive no notifications reminders updates etc , when arriving the staff do not make them selves known or approachable , I checked in was unable to find a worker to check bags , airport staff directed me to attend the gate which is a furthest point
from the bag check in , I've arrived to the gate distressed an physically exhausted to run with my bags as no trolley is available or given to me after the original was removed at bag check , the staff seemed annoyed and have said well our managers down there you have to go back and check your bags in , when I've stressed that you can tell I'm physically out of breath distressed and unsure of where they want me to go as there adamant I must of not originally gone to right place (which I had) they responded do you think your fit to fly .... So I'm trying not to have a full blown panic attack holding back tears in a room full of people staring , they did not offer assistance, drink or literally anything , I've have balled eyes out and became a absolute anxiety ridden mess and with the assistance and empathy of 2 other passengers they've helped Carry my bags to check in and speak to me to help calm me down and work through a panic attack , the app offers no working options in real situations
ALWAYS PAY FOR THE OPTION TO REFUND IF PURCHASING, as notifications and updates are non existent I was not informed the flight was delayed over an hour (what a miracle in my situation as within 2 hrs before you board you can no longer swap your ticket or check in via the app , when flying if you don't download the app an immediately check in the app within the first few minutes of being in the air you will miss the opportunity to buy drinks and food as their hotdog for example takes 15 mins to cook I was in the middle of paying for my purchase when they shut the cart an had to request help and exchange my options due to lack of available time, boarding was a poor experience I was a emergency row seat (which I've paid extra for) and was already lined up via the front when the same attendants decided to shut that line an redirect it so that I was the last passenger. It was a embarrassing and overwhelming experience in a highly Vulnerable moment for my mental health on my holiday and first trip to Melbourne .

We flew Bonza to Coolangatta 1 star airline only

We flew Avalon to Coolangatta on Bonza aircraft C-FLHI, on 25th January 2024. We do not reccomend this airline I was in row 12 seat A a window seat BUT NO WINDOW IN THIS ROW. Seats on left side facing forward (port side) have smaller distance between seat and the one in front compared with those on the right side (we measured them) The right side has 1.5 inches more legroom. Plane was late taking off due to waiting for 2 late passengers????? Overall forget them. No recline whatsoever in seats

Would give Bonza no stars if it was possible. Had flight cancelled requested refund got email saying money would be back in bank account within 21 days over a month now and still nothing. Impossible to get through to them eventually did on chat in app and they are absolutely no help just going around in circles. Awful company highly recommend you to avoid flying with bonza

Don’t trust this company.

Don’t trust this company.
They canceled our flight for 3 seats from Mackay to Coolangatta.
They sent a text message stating a refund would be issued within 21 days.
It’s now more than 5 weeks later and no sign of any refund.
I’ve tried emails and on line contact but no replies received.
There is no phone number to call.
I’ve reported to ACCC.
