Can I rate less than one star? If I could they would get negative stars probably a-3. Immediately after checking in on line our flight departure time was changed by 5 hours! It is so frustrating that... See more

Frontier airlines is a total scam
Frontier airlines is a total scam. Charging $60 for a carryon is insane, but $20 just to get help from an agent at the check in desk? Oh yall have lost your ever loving minds. I'll be posting this review every where I can because that is insane.
Don’t Recommend
3 flights, different years and all BAD EXPERIENCES. This last one was sending my college student back to school. Flight was very reasonable last minute and nonstop. Should have known at that point, not only did they have a 3 hour maintenance issue before they departed.....when they arrived in Houston the weather had started up and they had to remain in the plane until they could safely exit. I will never use Frontier again even if I pay triple the price. Shameful
Frontier go to the back of the line
Terrible, will never fly with them again.
Incorrect pricing
The prices are incorrect all over, including their website and 3rd parties.
First, i couldn't see bag fees until entering all my info, wasting my time.
When going through check out the first step says +$50 per person per direction then as soon as I hit add, it jumps to +$69.
If I add bag filters on kayak.com then Frontier is the only vender with inaccurate pricing.
I used flight gift.com since I had a voucher. Some flight prices were more than listed on the frontier site. Plus when adding bags at check out, the price jumped from advertised prices.
Honestly can't say I spend so much time figuring out a flight more than the past 3 times i booked with frontier.
And no printed boarding passes. I don't want to get the terrible app or hand over my phone to frontier.
Frontier has gone downhill in the last 2 or 3 years.
The worse airline I have travel with in…
The worse airline I have travel with in the last 10 years. Charged me $100 for my backpack for a 1 hour flight. Can’t wait to celebrate when they go bankrupt
I'd rather hitch hike across the US
I'd rather hitch hike across the US, than to ever fly again with this airline. Customer experience was the worst Ive ever had. Delayed 4 hours due to equipment issues. Gate changed. Staff is rude and beyond unprofessional. No communication. Go with Any other airline!!
This is the absolute worst airlines to…
This is the absolute worst airlines to fly. They always have delays with no compensation. My son was flying back to school and he had to travel 2 hours by bus to get from the airport to his school. Of course his flight was delayed which caused him to miss his bus. Now he has to spend the next 5 days in the airport as a result because we have no more money. I tried resolving the issues with customer service with hopes to be compensated so he can purchase another bus ticket. No compassion. Never fly with this airlines. You will miss your connecting flights.
Weaponized incompetence with wings.
Showed up at the airport with ample time. Sat in a line. Was told told that lane was closed after about 20 minutes when the clerk just walked away. Was moved into another line that took another 30 minutes. Finally got to the counter to receive a boarding pass (that should have been printable from a kiosk like every other airline but not these clowns) ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THEY COULDN'T PRINT THE BOARDING PASS BECAUSE WE WERE TOO CLOSE TO TAKE OFF TIME (we were 56min away from departure still)
Ended up just having to rent a car to drive 15 hours to get back home. Never again with these idiots.
One Star
A Masterclass in How NOT to Run an Airline
Where do I even begin with Frontier? This experience was so comprehensively terrible that I’m almost impressed by their consistency in disappointing at every possible touchpoint.
The Scam Email Prelude
Before I even got to the airport, I received what appeared to be an official email asking me to bid on better seats. Surprise—it was a bogus third-party scam. Great start, Frontier. Really inspiring confidence in your brand when scammers are already circling your customers like vultures.
Lost Luggage, Zero Accountability
Then came the main event: Frontier lost my luggage. Not only did they lose it, but they have absolutely no functional system for tracking bags or checking your baggage claim status. You know, basic things that other airlines figured out decades ago. When I asked if they had a dedicated baggage department like JetBlue, I was told no. Apparently, that’s asking too much.
Customer Service: A Cruel Joke
Calling customer service was like playing Russian roulette, except all the chambers are loaded. On one call, the representative didn’t even bother collecting the necessary information before putting me on hold. When he returned, his helpful advice was to “contact the airport directly.”
But it gets better. He claimed he was placing me on hold to look up my bag—but actually put me on mute instead, so it wouldn’t show as hold time in his call center metrics. When I pressed him for actual information, he essentially admitted he wasn’t looking anything up at all. Stunning. Just stunning.
Nickel, Dimed, and Insulted
As if all this wasn’t enough, during the flight they had the audacity to spend time acknowledging that yes, their fees are absurdly expensive—but hey, you can avoid them by signing up for their credit card! Imagine being trapped in a metal tube at 30,000 feet while an airline admits it’s gouging you and then tries to sell you a credit card. It’s almost satirical.
The Bottom Line
Frontier is ranked dead last in customer satisfaction, and after this experience, I understand why. Every interaction felt like the company actively resents having customers.
I will go out of my way to avoid this airline in the future, and I strongly recommend you do the same. There are plenty of other budget carriers that manage to treat customers like human beings.
Fly Frontier at your own risk.
This was a very disappointing…
This was a very disappointing experience with Frontier Airlines.
My flight was delayed repeatedly, with no clear explanation and no meaningful updates from the airline. The departure time kept changing, which completely disrupted my travel plans.
What made it worse was the lack of communication — no proactive announcements, no proper customer support, and no accountability. Passengers were left waiting without knowing what was going on.
I understand this is a low-cost airline, but constant delays and poor communication are unacceptable, regardless of ticket price.
I would not recommend Frontier Airlines, especially if your schedule matters.
The flight was fine. Mileage policy sucks.
The flight was fine. Support did not resolve my issue. After 4 attempts to get credit for miles at day 177, they indicated the time started when I took the first flight, which would be 184 days. Their policy is 180 days. I was a first-time flyer and did not understand the policy. They have now experienced me as a last time flyer.
Predatory Practices at Gate
Note: Employees are paid on commission for extra baggage fees collected at the gate. 10%. I learned this after this flight. I flew with a personal-item sized bag that I have used repeatedly with no issues. On 12/30/2025 I was flying from Las Vegas to Dallas with this bag. Every passenger who did not pay for a carryon bag and only had a personal item was forced to wait in a long line to put their bag into the bag checker. All the while, someone would intermittently announce that the door was going to be closed for the flight we were all boarding. Everyone was stressed; people were trying to rearrange things in their bags. One older man tried to point out that another passenger was boarding with a bag identical to his as a personal item and the employees completely ignored him until, with no other option, he paid when he should not have had to. The person he had pointed out had a carryon as well as that identical bag as their personal item and those passengers did not have to check any bag sizes. So that poor old man just paid like we all did.
On the flight to Las Vegas from Dallas, I flew with this same bag packed in the same manner on Spirit (yes, Spirit) and it fit into their bag checker. Here's the thing: on the web site, Frontier and Spirit cite the same dimension requirements. So perhaps Frontier has altered their bag checkers? I heard multiple passengers who were not only frustrated but confused. They had flown with their bags multiple times and had no issue, just like me. Fly any other airline - even Spirit, if you really need to save money. But whatever you do, don't fly Frontier.
While having the lowest of expectations…
While having the lowest of expectations like getting somewhere close to our destination within 24 hours of promised arrival, we were still completely disappointed. Better to spend a bit more on another airline and get where you want to go.
My disappointment with Frontier…
My disappointment with Frontier Airlines started the moment I arrived at Fort Lauderdale (FLL) at 3:30 AM, where I was treated with extremely poor customer service. The staff was rude, unprofessional, and showed zero willingness to help. That alone was already a red flag.
Unfortunately, things only got worse. After arriving in Atlanta for a connecting flight, Frontier Airlines canceled my flight. From that point on, Frontier repeatedly rebooked my itinerary, pushing the departure time later and later, only to cancel it again. I was even rerouted to a completely different airport, and that flight was also canceled and rescheduled.
I have been stranded at the Atlanta airport since early morning with no real assistance from Frontier Airlines. No meal vouchers. No hotel. No hygiene facilities. No clear communication. Just automated emails and app notifications changing times and creating false hope that the flight would actually depart.
This experience shows a complete lack of respect from Frontier Airlines for passengers’ time, health, and basic dignity. Being left far from home with no reliable solution is exhausting and extremely stressful. The constant uncertainty is unacceptable.
Delays happen, but repeated cancellations combined with terrible customer service and zero support are not acceptable. This reflects poor operational management and total disregard for customer care.
I strongly advise anyone to think twice before booking with Frontier Airlines. Cheap tickets are not worth being treated this way or being abandoned in an airport with no accountability.
Frontier canceled the last leg of our…
Frontier canceled the last leg of our flight. Because we had connections the following day for international travel we couldn’t wait another day for a different Frontier flight. We had to make last minute reservations (costly) to get to our destination. A lot of people were stranded for the night. Frontier didn’t even offer any hotel vouchers.
Frontier offered to give us a sparse amount of money for the cancellation but it was only a voucher to be used at another time. Don’t think I will ever use them again! Pay a little more and stay clear of this travesty of an airline.
Worst airline ever
Worst airline ever! If you have bags to check in at the Atlanta airport, avoid Frontier if you want peace of mind. I arrived three hours early, and the customer service was awful. Each agent gave different instructions, which caused unnecessary confusion and delays. Their favorite phrase was “I’m not going to argue,” yet they were the ones with the attitude because they failed to provide clear check-in guidance. Frontier needs to replace the entire front-line staff, as they are the main reason for the inconvenience, most of which could have been easily avoided with proper training and communication.
Frontier Airlines is a hard no
Yeah… Frontier Airlines has been very difficult to fly with. The website is deceivingly hard to navigate and use as they word things in a certain way to increase the fair. I’ve traveled quite a bit and every time I have used Frontier, which is twice now in 5 years, I have felt this way. I think it may be the last.
Dear Frontier Airlines management, if you read this… please feel free to reach out. You can do better than this, especially coming from Denver!!
My confirmation is YENMTC for my current flight.
Sincerely,
Andy
WARNING – DO NOT FLY Frontier Airlines
WARNING – DO NOT FLY Frontier Airlines
Flight canceled the same day I was supposed to travel to Puerto Rico with my family.
No flight for tomorrow. No flight for the next day. Only option: after New Year’s.
Vacation ruined.
I was forced to buy last-minute tickets with another airline at an outrageous price because telling my kids we couldn’t travel wasn’t an option.
This is not a one-off. Frontier constantly changes schedules, turns nonstop flights into connections, and cancels flights the moment anything goes wrong. No backup plan. No real support.
Frontier is a bottom-tier airline. The “cheap” price is a trap. When they fail—and they will—you pay in stress, lost time, and a lot of money.
If your trip matters at all, do not fly Frontier.
This airline cannot be trusted.
I chose one star because no stars is…
I chose one star because no stars is not available.
My flight got cancelled the same morning, but I can understand that, it's winter and all.
But the previous day I had been unable to check in. The app just would not work, nor the site. Even though they intimate that if you don't use the app, "there may be charges." What?
Also my credit card, working fine for everything else, started to be declined during my attempts. (I was trying to pay for a bag.)
So after a slew of emails, a refund has been processed. To my credit card marked as declined, so they have sent it to a Mastercard. I don't have a Mastercard.
They provide no contact phone number.
I'm actually glad it was cancelled. From now on in, I will only book real airlines.
Better to stay at home
This was the worst flying experience I’ve ever had, and my family had made it a rule to never fly Frontier ever again. Our first 10:35pm flight was delayed by over 3 hours before finally being cancelled at 1 in the morning. They never gave us a hotel voucher (said it would arrive to my email in 45 minutes but never came) and rebooked us only within Frontier flights to a flight the next night also at 10:35, which they cancelled with no warning or explanation at 10:30 that night. The website to talk to an agent or refund our flight was magically not working. By the time we calculated the cost of the hotel stays, Ubers, extra meals, missed time at home, and the flight on a different airline we finally had to book so we could get home, we could have just flown first class on a different airline. Never fly frontier ever.
