Breaking regulations

I have flown with Pegasus a few times which has been ok (nothing great). It is a low cost airline so paying extras for the extras is expected.
I had an issue where a misunderstanding from their side meant me and my mother (WCHR) passenger were denied boarding. The next flight was in two days! They arranged a hotel and other bits as required, which I did not take fully as I needed to get to a wedding, and was left about £1000 out of pocket. When claiming for additional compensation as per their own policy and industry regulations, they denied their own mistake. Has been taken up with the CAA.

Inflexilbe seat reservation system

I wanted to change by seat number, which was originally selected for me by an agency. I tried through the app and over the phone but was told that pre-selected seats can't be changed. Why??? It's just a seat number and I could see that there were still many seats available on my flight
