Current owner active FNB Life experience owner

My current experience owner of a active FNB Life Insurance Policy, includes dreaded disease has been met with total disappointment when a claim was recently lodged and rejected by FNB Life.

I applied for a disability sticker with my Specialist Medical Assessment Report and qualified for a disability sticker which is annually renewed at a price albeit a Senior Citizen, Pensioner.

I had a stent procedure completed and was confirmed with a Obstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Heart Chronic Condition, and ever since then actively on Chronic Meds, compulsory for am and pm consumption.

Claims were lodged from my end with FNB Life and they refused to honour my lodged claim.

I appealled the rejected Life Dreaded disease claim and technical excuses resurfaced by FNB Life Department Assessors to reject the claim.

I am currently experiencing poor, Chronic Heart Health challenges, day in and day out where I have been diagnosed with oHCM, where the Heart Septum muscle, in the below heart chambers is Abnormally thick and stiffened, which blocks, reduces the flow of blood out of the heart.

Currently experiencing chest pains, headaches, fatigue, short breadth, sleep apnea, sleepless nights, anxiety and total dependency on Heart Specialist Prescribed Chronic life threatening medication.

Shocking experience which needs to be shared for awareness purposes.

Disappointing and misled by FNB Life Sellers.

My current experience

My current experience with an active FNB Life Insurance Policy for dreaded disease has been met with total disappointment.
This is an active policy and when a legitimate claim with all Physician, Cardiologist Medical Specialists reports were submitted for a life threatening chronic disease condition, namely Obstructive Hypotrophic Cardiomyopathy Disease, FNB Life refused to honour my claim.
They then make you runfrom 'Pillar to Post' with the said condition.

When following up on the claim, calling the Life Specialist handling the claim, they either on leave, or off ob sick leave and the excuses continue when following up with the Life Department.

Observation has it that only when an email is sent with Manager copied, one receives limited or even no feedback

I strongly recommend that one must be extra careful when purchasing a FNB Life Policy since one must be prepared for a run around albeit claim submission was met with due respect per the requirement.

Shocking experience.

wish I could give -5.

wish I could give -5.
I’m extremely disappointed with this bank’s ongoing fee practices. Over time, I’ve noticed a steady increase in monthly charges along with additional fees that feel excessive and, in many cases, unnecessary. There is little to no transparency around these increases, and it often feels like customers are being penalized without clear justification. Banking services should provide value and fairness, not constant unexpected costs. At this stage, my account is significantly in the negative — not due to my own doing, but as a result of these ongoing charges by the bank. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to justify remaining with a bank that prioritizes profit over customer trust. I am now seriously considering closing my account by the end of this week and, based on this experience, I would not recommend this bank to others.

eBucks Boost My Rewards Program is a S C A M

eBucks Boost My Rewards Program is an absolute S C A M. There are a few criteria one needs to meet each month in order to qualify, so that after a year, you get a R1500 eBucks payout.

I have met these requirements every month and received my payout every year without fail. This is the only real benefit or reward one can get from FNB, so I always consciously make sure to meet the requirements so that I can benefit from it and actually get my money's worth out of being an FNB client.

This month FNB is telling me I did not meet the requirements, particularly the one for minimum R5000 card spend. I am looking at my transactions for the month in question, where I have spent almost double that. When I pinpointed this to them, they are telling me it doesn't matter which day I physically did the transactions on, because it will only count towards the month that the merchants cashes it for. So basically even though I far exceeded the minimum criteria, I now lose out on the reward because of the dates that the merchants choose to do their banking. Is the agreement for rewards between the bank and the merchant? No. It is between me and the bank. So why should my only reward as a long standing client now be affected by how the merchant chooses to do things?

I asked the eBucks consultant Farhaan if they are going to make a plan for me to still qualify for that month in question because it's absolutely heartbreaking for me to lose out on the entire year's reward program when I've worked so hard towards it and have always been consistent, now I lose out just because of one month that the merchant decided to do things in their own time. The consultant told me they won't be able to do that for me. I guess they don't give a D A M N how long you've been their client, how much you spend with them, how many products of theirs you've signed up for, they still will not budge.

So if you're thinking of signing up with FNB because their rewards sound so juicy on paper (like I foolishly did) don't waste your time. It is a gamble and is being wildly misadvertised and misrepresented. Their rewards are not guaranteed no matter how much effort you as a client put towards meeting the requirements, they will deny you because of third party merchants whose banking dates can change and differ anytime which literally has nothing to do with you. I won't be surprised if FNB makes an arrangement with these merchants to cash things out at a later date just so that they can avoid paying out these eBucks rewards to clients. Imagine how many hundreds of thousands they are pocketing like that.

Very D I S H O N E S T and S C A M M Y. And so disappointing coming from a whole financial institution. These are the people you are trusting with your hard-earned cash. Better to move to a different bank where sure, your fees might be a rand or two more but atleast with those institutions, what you see is what you get. Not like FNB who will find any avenue to avoid giving clients their rewards.

Unlawfully holds your money

Federal funds availalabilitu Act. A cashiers check is a guaranteed fund. They are trying to hold almost 10,000 for ten business days till after christmas. . Whether you have had an overdraft or not it does not change your rights.Even if they hide that in their deposit agreement which they do. I checked it out thoroughly, completely. A cashiers check is a guaranteed fund. By cc law available within one day of reciept. They cannot hold that money by law. They are FDIC insured and in such must comply by federal law. They cannot override the federal government. Imagine how much money they could potentially holding in their rotation. MIllions. And? Of course they are using it. Making loans on whose money?A minimum amount of funds needs maintaned in the bank. Is someone cheating?.NarrowingMargins Why?Im reporting them to the authorities.I gave them every chance.
