I was treated like a criminal by these people
I bought a wheelchair from this company. When I moved, the movers lost the controller. I called about getting a new one and rather than selling me one they said I'd have to have a zoom call to determine which model I had. They had my records all along> they knew what I had. When I called they said they couldn't sell me a controller and that I'd have to send the chair back to Texas to get it repaired. They could have just told me that from the start but I guess they wanted to manage the conversation and upsell me.
In my Constitutionally protected opinion, the owner of the company is combative and she threatened me with federal prosecution saying leaving reviews online was bullying and a hate crime.
I fought for this country and will not have my opinion silenced. Period. She was rude, dismissive and in my opinion, the system she created is not customer friendly. I am disabled and unable both financially and physically to ship the chair to her. Most people buying these chairs are in my situation.
I have seen others say the company is difficult to work with. I should have listened to those reviews.
My main reason for this review is to warn people they may find a company that is not very customer-focused and that repairs - even small ones - may involve the hassle and expense of shipping a 50 pound wheelchair to Texas. I think the company should be more forthright about this on their website. Had I known this was the case I would have never bought it.
I gave them 2 stars because the chair itself is fine. The customer sevice, and system of resolving problems is less than one star.
I have never been threatened by a businsss owner before because I intend to leave a negative review. I think that says more about Fold & Go than anything else I could write here.
Let the buyer beware. There are lots of other choices out there. I am now going to have to buy another chair since I cannot repair this one. That will mean great sacrifice for me.
