Footman James Reviews 

I've been with Footman James for about 8 years and always found them helpful and their prices reasonable. I contacted them this week as I had sold one of my classic scooters and bought a new scooter instead. With Classic Insurance Policies you don't build up a no claims bonus (NCB), so having discussed options, took out new multi vehicle policy which covers both new and old scooters and will allow me to build up a NCB over time (hopefully!) I spoke to a nice lady; Chelsea at FJ, and she gave me a very reasonable quote for the new policy, and a decent discount as I was a loyal customer. I had previously checked with another Insurer (Carole Nash), and they quoted me a ridiculously high premium for the new scooter, despite the fact I'm in my early 60's!

I bought an old Mini and wanted to insure it with a company who understood its value. Molly at Footman James patiently listened to my detailed description of the vehicle and provided a competitive quotation including an agreed valuation which is so important with cars of this age and condition. In this 'computer generated' world it was nice to deal with an understanding human being.

Kameran was incredibly helpful, he spoke slowly and made it easy for me to understand exactly what I was purchasing, one of the best insurance advisors I have ever dealt with, I was inquiring about several different insurance options and he took the time to explain them all to me without making me feel rushed, in the future I will be asking to speak to Kameran for all my insurance needs,

I have dealt with Footman James in the past and once again the experience in sorting out my classic bike insurance was straight forward and everything explained in full.

Have used Footman James for quite a few years now but next year I will be shopping around as their prices are no longer competitive . Nearly doubled in one year despite having no claims and only driving less than 1,000 miles . I chose to speak to a person to renew .
The lady I dealt with was very informative but rather too serious for me ? She could have been a bit more friendly ! Very “belt and “braces !!!!!Will look elsewhere next year !

Ease of application and talking to helpful and friendly staff member.

Absolutely furious with Footman James classic car insurance brokers price hike - because footman James have dumped Ageas Insurance and opted to go with another KGM insurance Brokers... Classic Car owners are being charged multiple administration fees on top of renewal quotes... The reason Footman James is using another broker is because Footman James is wanting more profits so cutting it's own administrative staff and we the classic car owners are being forced to pay two broker fees.. Dump Footman James go direct to KGM... My insurance went up from £102 annual to £380 absolutely furious.. After 10 years being with them.. Massive price hikes WITH NO Change in car plus owner circumstances.. Gratuitous Greed!!.

The whole process arranging multi vehicle classic car insurance with Footman James was very smooth and straightforward. All of my queries were answered very promptly and the agreed valuations were agreed within 24 hours. Highly recommended.

Excellent customer service staff. Rang for quote for rare vintage motorcycle and the process was very smooth. They were not at all fazed by the unconventional specification of the bike- very impressed and will be using for further vintage bikes. Price explained in detail and very reasonable.

It is great to talk with real people with a limited wait time. The staff are really friendly and helpful and guide and you through the complex process of vehicle insurance. The premiums are very competitive and i would highly recommend them if your looking to insure your favourite cars.
