This school made it easy for my daughter to get a personalized online education that was not available at local schools in our area.

Although i took longer than expected to finish the course the teachers and staff were all supportive.

The support is always available. The curriculum is extremely comprehensive, with a great focus on helping the student become an independent learner. The online classes are easy to access and understand, and the teachers provide excellent guidance and support. They even have a dedicated support team available to answer any questions that may arise. I also appreciate that the school offers a wide variety clubs for students to participate in. I highly recommend Forest Trail Academy for anyone looking for an online school that is both academically rigorous and supportive.

You are in control of your studies and you can access your classes anytime, anywhere as long as you have an internet connection. An excellent alternative to traditional school!

Forest Trail School is the best online school I have ever seen. Children can choose to complete school homework at the time they like instead of going to school every day with sleepy eyes. The teaching expectations of the courses is relatively high, especially the science experiment class which has a great impact on children. The teacher is also very responsible, especially the correction of homework. Mr. Homan carefully marked every sentence, which moved our parents very much! Ms. Homan gave each child time to fully express themselves, and classroom management is also very effective. The teachers responded promptly to the messages we sent out, and any problems can be solved in time. Evan has been enrolled in Forest Trail Academy since kindergarten. He has received the most meticulous care and has a deep love for learning. I have introduced FTA to my classmates in the United States, and I sincerely hope that FTA will become better and better! ----Evan's Mom

The curriculum is pretty good, but the support is lacking. The incident that really rose my ire was the fact that 3 months before end of semester, the school staff put Trigonometry on "hold". Our daughter came to assume it was not a required course (neither was it taught in high school fifty years ago when I went to high school), so she paced her completion of the other courses.
At the semester end, we paid the fees to have her transcript and diploma (another expense we did not expect.) A few days later, we were informed that she could not graduate because she did not complete Trigonometry. But since the term had ended, we were told to pay hundreds of dollars more for a month extension. I was livid, because they took Trig out of her curriculum--it wasn't our decision. Unfortunately, the school held her diploma hostage until we paid the additional unexpected sum and then the unlocked Trigonometry and she worked diligently for the next month to complete the course. The incident was quite upsetting for my daughter and this whole situation caused her to lose another month of time where she should be moving on to finding employment.
In addition, there was little to no teacher support, and requests for support were followed by 24 hour delays, which made the whole process twice as long as it should have been.
We have tried to get the school staff to respond to our complaints, but they just ignored us.
Since the matter is in an ongoing legal investigation I cannot say any more.

Forest Trail is an exceptional school. The curriculum is well thought out, well organized and ample material is provided for the topics. I found the teachers to be easily accessible and knowledgeable in their respective fields. Overall, it was a great experience, one I enjoyed much more than public school. I enjoyed it more because I was able to work at my own pace and got to be responsible for planning my own days.

This review is quite general. The online school experience was excellent and gives students the opportunity to learn on their own, manage their own time, and be treated like the adults they will be for the future. Almost all the teachers are flexible, friendly, motivative, and just really great people. Communication isn't necessary as far as learning online is concerned, but it's certainly beneficial for students who still require interaction with their teacher. Overall, I would recommend Forest Trail Academy to anyone.

He is athlete and travels all the time.
I can already say that this school year will be excellent.
Everything was so smooth.

My daughter joined FTA in May 2021 and has completed her grade 7and 8 through online studies. We as parents were so much worried for her online education, but soon all of our worries were replaced by joy and contentment.
Thanks to all the teachers and support team staff. they are all worth their weight in solid gold. I know a few names that I have communicated a lot with and have high regards for them but can't name them because for me FTA is a conglomeration of brightest stars in the constellation. I am sure your students will get a lot of light from their teachers and shine as well.

I must change my review. My son is autistic. We did public from k-4th grade. Too many reasons to say why, we changed to homeschool and choose FTA. From 5th grade to 8th grade it was the best experience we could have asked for. The teachers took into account the IEP he had in public schools and worked well with him. Now in 9th grade he is struggling. They tell me now I have to go back to the public schools to get him a IEP then they will follow it. I am a Speech Language Pathologist, so I am very capable, and have before, in writing an IEP. They refuse to work with me, therefore it is taking him a solid year (no summer) to complete this grade. I used to recommend this school to everyone. If your child is special needs do not go to this school.

Its our first year in FTA and it was a great year of us. The work was great and also the teachers who were helpful and kind especially patient :)

Forest trail academy helped me learn lots of new things!

Hard to meet up with teachers, and most of them do not analyse the work correctly or in depth.
Not suitable if you want to learn many things, but it’s pretty affordable.
The links on the school assignments or contents do not work, so you have to research most of the things yourself.
