Although the tests are quick and fairly thorough, Forth is so AI run that you won't ever get decent customer service. Had issues with blood flow for a sample and the only advice they gave was repeating the exact wording from the leaflet. When they messed up for my partner, it took him a lot of effort to get a reply that wasn't AI.
Forth then sent me a request for a survey, offering a £25 voucher for completing it. My partner still wants to use their tests so I did the survey. I am yet to receive the voucher and my messages to customer service have gone unanswered.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service, Lucy in particular was very helpful when I messed up my home blood test, she responded very quickly, giving me full advice, options for other test procedures and follow up help. I will now be using the phlebotomy kit at a clinic as the advanced thyroid test kit does require quite a lot of blood. I can't review the test itself yet but would recommend this company for it's customer service.

Test arrived promptly

Test arrived promptly, easy to follow instructions. Posted sample back to Forth on a Monday and received the results on the Tuesday evening. The dashboard is easy to read and along with the results there's lots of information to help you understand what they mean. Definitely recommend.

Service not in line with the consumer act

I had repeated error messages when ordering a test and the basket kept emptying with the result that I ended up losing my selection of a thyroid test and being billed for the wrong selection with one of the add ons being made the main order. There was no confirmation of the test and add ons ordered in the email sent and the website was not displaying the order page. Very stressful. I was unwell and vulnerable at the time unable to walk with a foot injury and couldn't get to the GP for my thyroid test so paid for a home nurse, who was not able to verify the test I ordered (I did ask her and she just confirmed it was a thyroid test, which it was not!) and she did not post the blood back in time so one of the markers was missing. I asked for a part refund, which was reasonable in the circumstances as I did not receive the main thyroid test I wanted, only the add on tests, of half price. They offered 10% off my next order and sent me a vitamin D in the post with no nurse appointment to draw blood. I would never use them again. According to the consumer act the company should be clear about their service, which they are not due to the lack of email confirmation, access to the order page of the website, and the nurse giving the wrong information (she told me it was a thyroid test but the thyroid test was not included or I would have refused to give blood). I am a pensioner and ill afford to lose the considerable amount of money taken for a test I would never have paid out for and only selected as a low cost add on. I have a long history of thyroid testing with the company so they were well aware of my needs but no one reached out to check until I complained.

From our records, the test that was ordered and processed included the biomarkers selected at checkout, alongside a home phlebotomy appointment. The price paid reflects both the selected markers and the additional cost of the home nurse visit.

Your sample was successfully collected and received by the laboratory, and results were provided for the biomarkers included in your order. Where Vitamin D could not be processed, this was resolved by sending a replacement test free of charge to ensure you received all markers purchased.

In relation to your order confirmation, we can see that an email was received. This provides access to your order details via your account, where a full breakdown of the selected test and markers is available.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the website experience and will continue to review this.

We also want to clarify that phlebotomy appointments are carried out by external clinical partners. They are responsible for collecting the sample but are not able to amend or verify the test selection at the time of the appointment, as this is confirmed during the ordering process.

While we understand this was not the outcome you had expected, the service purchased was fulfilled in line with the order placed. As a gesture of goodwill, we offered a discount towards a future thyroid test.

You need to budget for a professional blood draw

You need to budget for a professional blood draw as well, it's misleading to suggest your likely to fill a tube from a pin prick. I've tried twice no chance.

Our finger-prick tests have been in use for over 10 years and are designed to offer a convenient and clinically validated way to collect samples at home without the need for a professional blood draw.

We have a 90% success rate with our finger prick kit, but when difficulties do occur it is usually one or two things that could be the problem: circulation and dehydration.

That said, we do recognise that some customers may still find sample collection challenging, which is why we provide detailed instructions and guidance within the kit to support a successful sample.

For those who would prefer not to use a finger-prick method, we also offer alternative options, including phlebotomy appointments with trained clinicians, which can be selected at the time of purchase.

We also reached out directly following your review to offer support, including additional guidance and alternative options to help you complete your test successfully.

Easy and painless

The while process is very simple and educational. I got my results back with a doctors notes within 48 hours of sending them off. Exceptional service. Kit is very easy to use and completely painless.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service, no way of contacting them other that email but they take days to respond. Several emails later and still no answer to where blood results are . Slow communication and very little customer support.
Would I use again ? No

We can see that our team responded promptly throughout your enquiry, with the majority of replies provided on the same day as your responses, and all communication within our stated service timeframes.

In this instance, your sample was received by the laboratory before the kit had been activated.

Activation is a required step, as it links the sample to a customer account and allows results to be processed and released. We include clear instructions within the test kit explaining how to activate your kit before sending your sample to the laboratory.

After receiving guidance from our team, you activated your kit. However, it was activated under a different account. Because our system uses the account details (including sex and date of birth) to apply the correct clinical reference ranges, this meant that the results were initially linked to the wrong profile and incorrect ranges were applied.

As soon as this was identified, our team corrected this by transferring your results to the correct account, applying the appropriate reference ranges, and arranging an additional medical review to ensure your report was accurate and clinically appropriate.

We understand how important it is to receive results promptly and clearly, and we’re pleased this has now been fully resolved.

Excellent Bespoke Testing Service

My go to for bespoke blood tests. I don't need a doctors report, but I like the option to fine tune your level of support should you require it. The speed of results is second to none, and the tests are straight forward to perform at home and a simple process to return. I forgot to activate a test once and while I certainly won't be repeating that oversight (it required unnecessary effort on both sides!) Customer service were faultless in their handling of my self created problem and I'm so grateful for their help! I have no problem recommending Forth to anyone, and have to many people I know already!

I purchased a testosterone blood test…

I purchased a testosterone blood test with a few add ons like vit d levels. I had to get my blood drawn which has a cost. The results came back quickly with a 1 word response. Normal. I contacted forth support to ask what the breakdown of my testosterone was and the response was they only check overall testosterone which I found shocking for a company advertising as specialist. Any testosterone investigation needs to know what a person's free testosterone is to decide if your testosterone is normal. I was told free testosterone is another test id need to purchase. Not only should this be made clear to paying customers but to actually test one and tell someone with a 1 word comment its normal is actually negligible in my eyes. Not a lot of men would even know they need to know their free testosterone. It's now been a couple of weeks and I'm still waiting on the customer support speaking to a colleague. I won't be using this company again and I suggest anyone wanting their testosterone tested read the small print and use a different company. Edit. After reading the reply by forth to my review I went back onto the site to see if I missed something when I personalised my test. I did NOT. Free testosterone does not come up. But that is not my main issue. My issue is forth sold me a testosterone test that they claim gives you results on all the usual male hormonal issues. Impossible and its miss selling without checking free testosterone. Most people do not know this and maybe happy their test is good yet they may be have defunct free testosterone. This is not only miss selling its dangerous. The imformation I'm stating should be made very clear so people understand overall testosterone doesn't tell them anything.

The Testosterone test you purchased clearly states it measures one biomarker: total testosterone.  This is a clinically recognised marker and the standard first step in assessing testosterone status. This is reflected both in the test name and on the product page. Our doctor’s comment on the page does recommend a wider hormone panel for those looking for a fuller picture of testosterone health, and we will look at putting that recommendation higher on the page, so it is not missed.

You mentioned that you personalised your test to include a couple of extra markers. Free testosterone is also included on our bespoke builder as an option to add to your order. On this occasion, it wasn’t selected as part of your purchase. We understand that the difference between total and free testosterone isn’t always obvious, and that’s genuinely useful feedback in helping us make this clearer at the point of purchase.

We also want to clarify that your results were accompanied by commentary from our medical team. We take the quality of our results and reporting seriously, and a one-word response would never be something we’d consider acceptable.

If you would like to contact our support team, we would be happy to discuss options for a wider male hormone panel.

I can't even add Potassium as a biomarker. Wow. What a good start.

Potassium is genuinely one of the more complex biomarkers to measure accurately in a home testing setting. Once blood is collected, potassium is only reliably stable for around four hours.

To prevent false elevation (known as pseudohyperkalaemia), the sample needs to be centrifuged promptly to separate the serum from the red blood cells. That’s straightforward in a clinical environment, but it simply cannot be guaranteed when samples travel overnight by post.

Rather than offer a result we couldn’t clinically stand behind, we made the decision not to include potassium in our home test range. A falsely elevated potassium level is not a minor inconvenience; it can indicate a medical emergency, and we will never report a result we aren’t confident is accurate.

If you’d like your potassium tested, I’d strongly recommend using a provider who can confirm a 4-hour analysis, or asking your GP to arrange a venous blood draw at your local surgery.

Patient safety and clinical accuracy will always come first at Forth.

UPDATE in line with your additional comment -
As outlined in my previous response, the four-hour stability window is the critical factor here. That constraint applies regardless of sample type and regardless of where the sample is collected, as all samples, including venous draws, must be returned to our central laboratory by post.

To stabilise the sample would require centrifugation, however not all of our clinic partners have the ability to centrifuge on-site — a necessary step to separate the serum before analysis.

For that reason, and in the interest of patient safety, potassium is not something we’re able to offer.

We’d recommend speaking to your GP, who can arrange testing in a fully integrated clinical setting.

Fantastic service

Don’t use them. Very bad experience.

They took my money readily enough but although I booked my blood to be taken via the link they gave me and Superdrug health centre did a great job in professionally taking my blood. I was disappointed when a few days later I had a text from Forth telling me they had received my sample but would not proceed to have the testing done. So why did I take the trouble to get my blood drawn if Forth decline to have the testing done with no explanation. Don’t wast your time and money. Get your medical and sports blood testing done elsewhere. I will be giving this feed back to all the athletes in my connections. There are much better services out there who will deal honestly with you. My experience with Forth has been very bad. Don’t use them.

3 weeks still no test result, lengthy reply

My blood sample has been delivered 3 weeks ago and I still haven’t received my results. There’s no way to call them, only to send emails and I need to wait 2, 3 days for a reply. I’m really disappointed and I expected a better service since the test is not cheap. I wouldn’t purchase again from them. Still waiting for the email I sent on Wednesday to be replied!

We would like to clarify that your sample was received 8 working days ago. It was sent on the 20th of April and delivered to the lab on the 22nd of April, where it was analysed the same day. Following this, your results were sent for release to your dashboard. However, a technical issue caused by a special character in your name meant your results were not correctly transferred through the system. This was not identified until you contacted us to query your results on Wednesday.

As soon as this was brought to our attention, we contacted the lab. Once they responded the issue was resolved and your results were released to your dashboard the same day.

We understand that delays can be frustrating, however, we’re pleased this has now been resolved.

Long wait and not much communication

Sadly, I won’t be leaving a positive review. I’m still waiting for results that were promised last week, and only one of my emails has received a response while the others have gone unanswered.

Given the cost of the service, this has been disappointing and feels quite let down. I had expected a more timely and responsive experience, particularly as NHS results can often come back more quickly.

I would appreciate an update as soon as possible.

To release results, all required health questionnaires need to be completed. In this case, the second questionnaire had not been submitted, which meant the results could not be finalised. As soon as this was completed, your results were released to your secure dashboard.
