While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

This is a negative review although I…

This is a negative review although I have only been on the site once, the negative is that if you are on a VPN the Pages Response is

"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access the requested URL on this server."

I came out of my VPN and the page opened, I immediately closed that page, reinstated my VPN and tried again, with the same.

“Forbidden

You don't have permission to access the requested URL on this server."

So, for a security obsessed “CLUB” of people who claim to have your privacy interest at heart.
Yeah! Go tell that to the marines.

I can do without their "help," I find information elsewhere thank you, I’m not opening up and exposing my system to them, otherwise WHY do they shut us out? If they don’t want to try poking around our systems, I can’t think of any other reason, I am logged into my home country not another, but then why would that make a difference?

It just proves that VPNs are worth having, even for so called safe sites/people!

Rude people.

Had nasty experiences on there. People are quite quick to profile you as a "bad person." Complained about it. The person seemed to be a snob and didn't mind deleting my account. I can't remember the details (I guess that will make them unhinged and hate me more and accuse me of being a liar) but was basically given the "RTFM" attitude.
That being said, speaking to people through the IRC Linux Mint channel was a lot better despite long waiting times and I appreciated that a lot more. Remember good times speaking to them where people were more than willing to help.

I joined the Linux Mint Forums way back…

I joined the Linux Mint Forums way back in 2011. It was invaluable when I was fairly new to the GNU/Linux operating system, and in particular, when using the Linux Mint distribution. The forums are a little outdated in appearance but function well and has a great community. Highly recommended for newcomers to Linux and who use one of the Mint spins.
