Never buy from Frankie's

Ordered almost $100 worth of books from them in October of 2022. Never received the item. Then they filed for bankruptcy. Even the reimbursement deal they had in place never went through. Got contacted by them in Dec. 2023 which included this message, "Due to unforeseen financial circumstances, we have temporarily halted all pre-bankruptcy order fulfillment and shipping operations."

AWFUL

AWFUL. Ordered over $150 worth of books. They didn't get the books they agreed to get. And then after 4 months of them claiming to get the books. They filed for bankruptcy. They claimed to be settling up with anyone they owe but, that was over a year ago. Avoid anything but a face to face transaction with them but since the shop front closed... online is the only way to buy from them so don't waste your money.

They will steal your money and repeatedly lie...

They are being aloud to rob previous customers. Literally paid 300$ almost 2 years ago and nothing... and now they say I'll get the raw comic worth 3.99... this business need to fail because the owner is a thief who repeatedly lies or doesn't know how to run a business then lies to cover it... you choose...

Never Shipped Orders, Poor Communication

I pre-ordered two comics from Frankie's in August 2022. Both were published in mid-to-late November 2022. I tried reaching out in December when I hadn't heard anything about shipping and only received a general response that they were still waiting on the comics from Penguin Books (they were individual issues from Marvel & DC, not trade paperbacks) and would follow up in a few days.

I tried reaching out again a few weeks later when they hadn't gotten back to me like they said they would. They responded a couple weeks later without any details again saying they'd follow up in a few days, but never did.

I had to file claims through PayPal to get my money back because they never shipped my orders.

Terrible Customer Service

Never received any of our orders. After asking about one comic that was way overdue, I was told it would ship immediately since it was missed. I was then sent the wrong book and was told I needed to pay for the materials to send it back. Still missing my other orders from a year ago.

Didn't get what I paid for

Purchased items during a sale, everything advertised as being in stock (no pre-order). I got most of my order, but Mandalorian # 1 virgin and trade covers they did not have (according to them when I emailed on the status, it was a shared exclusive and they hadn't received their copies yet) Months pass, still nothing. I had to ask for a refund 3 times, which I received on most BUT one of the copies was free (due to sale) so by rights if I don't get the copies I ordered (and had to buy enough to qualify) I should at least get a book of equal value (credit) right? NOPE......and now they won't reply to my messages. Oh....icing on the cake......THEY FILED BANKRUPCY (which explains a bit) SO BEWARE IF YOU ARE ORDERING ANYTHING-ESPECIALLY PRE-ORDER ITEMS!

Still haven't received my order after 4 months

I placed an order on Aug 10th that I still haven't received. All four books have already been released, the last one in September.
I reached out to customer service and received a response a month ago that the books would ship within a week. Still haven't received them.

I order a lot or did order from here a…

I order a lot or did order from here a lot but it seems I have to contact them bout my orders before they ship them. Two of my last orders were delayed due to not issues supposedly not shown up. So they ship the half fulfilled order that’s already been paid for. So kinda fell like it’s a gamble. I have few more orders yet to be fulfilled so I hope those go better

Worst online comic shop, learn to ship faster

Worst online comic shop. Why have a exclusive for presale and state on the website it will ship in a certain month, went you don’t ship the books till months later. False advertisement is what’s it’s called. But yet I can buy through their whatnot and they speed up the shipping. Why not take care of your website customers first than put us on the back burner. Having the same email response is lame stating you are understaff and etc. it’s not that hard to package books in a timely manner. So many of the others shops do. Say off whatnot and finish your shipping instead focusing on that . Common sense.

OK customer service

I want to keep this very short. After almost a year, I did not receive a CGC book back from Frankie's. Opened up a dialog with them but it went quiet after a while. I left a sort of nasty review here. Frankie's saw my comment, took ownership of the issue and refunded my money for the book. I would have liked the book but I'll take the refund. Because they offered the refund without me asking for it, which is rare in this industry, I've upgraded my score from a 1 to a 3, which I personally deem as being a neutral score seeing that there was no harm, no foul but a year of lost time.
