Rang in the morning spoke to Nathan who happily invited me in to the store to review my overlocker - George helped me on my arrival and the experience could not have been better. Good advice was given and my machine tweaked and I left to sew another day. Thank you

They are so helpful in both the shops that I have visited. I managed to damage my sewing machine, when I phoned up to ask about it I was asked to take it to the store. They were able to fix it for me while I waited. Brilliant! I have been on a couple of classes and learned so much. Today my husband bought an overlocker and they were very good talking things through. I only wish that there was a shop closer to where I live in Cambridgeshire so I could visit more frequently

A specific sewing machine (advertised as a quilting sewing machine on their website) was ordered & PAID for in the shop. Weeks go by so it is chased up, they had forgotten to order it. They offered to upgrade the Janome machine for free for inconvenience. Eventually machine arrives, go to collect and it's a totally different machine including the Brand. Puzzlingly they had substituted a Janome with their own brand. Owner blamed his engineer, then his own brother before proceeding to state Janome 'doesn't do quilting sewing machines' despite their very own website offering it as one. When the machine was refused, their 'resolution' was to offer to order in the original chosen machine. Very glad a full refund was received and will shop elsewhere. Utterly bizarre experience and appalling customer service.

We bought a used Juki machine from them and that process was brilliant- no hard sell just genuinely helping us find a good machine for our household. Then immediately once we got it home we managed to get it jammed (operator error) and they patiently sorted it all out doing loads of different steps and tweaks until it was all running super smooth again.. Really great customer service. Totally recommended!

I recently bought a Juki overlocker and I am so happy with the service I have received, both before and after the purchase. Their product knowledge is outstanding and the aftersales service is excellent too. I have had to call them on two occasions when I was struggling with threading the machine and both times the facetimed me and resolved the issue. I panicked and they calmly pointed out where I was going wrong and because the most recent time was today and while its fresh in my mind, I thought it would be nice to give them the positive feedback that they deserve. Thank you to all the fabulous people at Franklins Of Colchester 😊👍
