DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Everything…
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Everything Nichole said to me about our son's college cross country move was CHALLANGED. (not to mention that his computer arrived busted). The price more than DOUBLED, they DID NOT RETURN phone calls or emails or texts FOR WEEKS, which were in excess of 100! The company they passed us off to charged for so many extras! While waiting for a response from Freedom Express, we began to get storage fees added on.
THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM FROM DAY 1.
DO NOT USE THEM! THEY DID NOT HONOR ANYTHING WE WERE TOLD AND AFTER FINALLY RETURNING A PHONE CALL, we were pretty much told "TOO BAD" by Paula. Also, they are not associated or owned by a veteran, like it says and they claimed. SCAM STAY AWAY. I'm sure ANY other company would be a better choice
No stars are deserved
No stars are deserved. This company represents themselves as a direct to consumer organization and they are a third party vendor and you don't know that until you sign the contract. Do not use them! If they are veterans, they disgrace the hardworking and honest professionals that serve(d) our country with true sacrifice and dignity. SCAM ORGANIZATION
They are not veterans
They are not veterans. they are a veterinary scam company for PIGS. they scammed my daughter out of 1300.00 dollars. I will not relent until the day I die.
This is not a company
This is not a company. They are scam artists. Driver did not show during the two day window they had given me for my move so I had to mark last minute alternative arrangements. No one from freedom express ever informed me of the delay and would not take my calls after trying them hundreds of times. Soulless people work here and are out to take your money and not help you. I have yet to receive a refund as services were not provided and I doubt I will eve see my money again. Do not use all all costs. They are scammers. Please call if you have issues with this company. This is an unlisted number for them 386-679-4769.
Scam!!!!!!
Do not use these people. Do not give them a deposit. I had a tentative date on September 15th I canceled on September 8th 7 days before. I spoke to Brett I could tell by the tone in his voice that there would be a problem getting back my 1250 deposit. I didn't even use their service I canceled in plenty of time. I have proof with my bank that I canceled on the 8th because I called them directly after to let them know because I had a feeling there was going to be a problem with these people. Sure enough I'm not getting any response back they do not answer my calls. They did once because I called from another phone then they put me on hold and I was basically hung up on. These people use I'm a veteran we're wonderful honest people. They are anything but. A few days later after my cancellation they text me to get my details I text them back I canceled that appointment and I need a credit for my deposit. All I'm getting is the runaround.
So Unreliable
Lied to us about delivery time, lied to us about cost, never offered any help once our stuff was on the moving truck.
They come off as so friendly and trustworthy - I had no problem booking this group. Cut to moving day, a different company that wasn't Freedom Express showed up to move our stuff. We used a few extra cubic feet than we originally thought, but they charged us DOUBLE what we were quoted due to crazy charges like $14 to put a plastic cover that I paid for over our mattress. They loaded our stuff up on a Tuesday and said they'd see us Saturday at our new place, which is what was agreed on.
Saturday comes around and it's crickets - nothing from the movers and nothing from Freedom Express. After several attempts, I get in touch with Paula and she says she'll call the mover and see what the deal is. Two minutes later she tells me that she was on hold with the mover and it wasn't worth her time to stay on hold and she hangs up on me...
We heard nothing for days and after 6 days of zero returned communication (we called Paula, Jared the guy who sold us Freedom Express, and the movers dozens of times), I sent an email stating that I'd be contacting the Better Business Bureau if we couldn't discuss reimbursements for this inexplicably late delivery. And wouldn't you know, not 10 minutes after hitting send I got a call from the mover saying he'd be there in two days.
This company is a scam and I don't know how they are still in operation. My dad is a veteran, so I was more than happy to support a veteran-owned business, which is why we went with Freedom Express. Calling yourselves that and pretending to honor your veterans while running this scam of a company is completely disgusting.
Also they removed all Google reviews because they were getting such bad criticism... says a lot about the company. Please do not use them, there are plenty of reliable moving companies who will not cheat you out of money at every turn.
Total scam.
Moving from FL to VA
Moving from FL to VA. Nichole assured me I would be working for her team from start to finish. Instead I was contracted out to safebound. They were fine I guess, but ended up charging me an extra $1000 for my items even though I provided Freedom Express with a list of all my items, pictures, and dimensions. Richard told me he would call me before my move and never did. Now I’m getting told that safebound charges a whole list of fees that is going to raise my price by at least $200. I’m so serious that you should not trust these people.
BAIT AND SWITCH
BAIT AND SWITCH. I hired them, were given promises for delivery dates, they broker to another company Overland Van Lines (who was great), and then wont answer calls or call back when you try and get them on the phone to discuss anything about the original commitment. Nichole - the salesperson - apparently is out with illness. Richard is an idiot and tells you he cant help you, Tommy doesnt return phone calls on his office line or personal cell - 786-232-3627 - and Tom - his father and owner, doesnt exist. They're a Florida based sheisty company with a random address at a building they dont operate out of. DO NOT HIRE
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!
I don’t understand how these people live with themselves knowing what scam artists they are. I spoke with the kindest young man at Freedom Express, who made me feel so good about my move, and then they subcontracted it out to R&M Transportation. Some of my boxes were soaking wet, which caused items to break inside. I’m still waiting for multiple things that never arrived with the original truck and they are stating that it’s still in storage and they’re trying to locate it. I am certain that these items are either lost or destroyed because of their ineptitude and complete disregard of others items. I bought these people lunch on both ends. I tipped them on both ends only to find that once I unpacked it was an absolute disgrace. SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT FALL FOR THE SWEET ACT AND THE VETERAN OWNED COMPANY ACT!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT USE FREEDOM EXPRESS MOVING &…
DO NOT USE FREEDOM EXPRESS MOVING & STORAGE. I have never written a review before but because of our horrible experience, I feel moved to save someone else from this experience. Freedom to this company means that they have the Freedom not to deliver your furniture, the Freedom not to return your calls, the Freedom not to assist, the Freedom not to act professional. We had a delivery date set for 2 days after we moved, it has been a week and the company is not returning our calls.
Stay away from this moving company.
Please make yourself a big favor and stay AWAY from this company. I am surprised they are still in business.
This is the worst moving company.
First, they gave me a low ball estimate to get me and when the furniture got picked up, they doubled it.
Communication is the worst.
After you sign up the contract, good luck getting a hold of them.
Then, PAULA is in charge of scheduling; she sounds nice, but never, and I mean it, never returns your calls, even if she promises she will.
They promised my furniture will be at destination in 7 days. Today is the 10-th day and I don't know when it will arrive. After I called multiple times and was put on hold, I was told that my furniture is getting loaded on a truck, but no details, only that I will get a call when it gets closer. So, bottom line, stay away from Freedom Express Moving Co.
Terrible moving company!!!
This company ruined my move. They lost multiple boxes, broke items because they were throwing boxes around right in front of me, they refuse to return calls or emails, they dropped my items off more than two days later than they were supposed to a neglected to communicate any of this. I cannot say enough about how much I recommend not using this service. All of their responses to negative reviews online are lies.
Worst company ever
Worst company ever. They picked up my belongings on 6/23 with an estimated delivery of 4-6 days, today is 7/7 and I still don’t have a delivery date and Paula the so called dispatch expert does not return phone calls or messages as she promises and then sends emails stating she has. This has been a horrible experience and I have reported them to BBB and have hired an attorney in hopes I get my belongings back. So much for trusting what they are calling a Veteran owned company, don’t fall for their scam.
Furnitire held hostage, extortion
Picked up furniture 6/6/23 with binding 7 day contract for delivery to Orlando. Furniture held hostage in Indianapolis, IN, extortion for expedition fees for delivery. Scammed!
I so SO wish I could find all these…
I so SO swish I could find all these other people commenting on here. We could have a class action against them. They did the same thing to us, brokered a “BINDING” estimate, (ISN) took my deposit (PAULA), and then sent Master Movers with no name in the truck. And they did a BINDING agreement, but the phone kept crashing so the contract was never read. NO bill of Laden,
I will go start a fb page and maybe we can “meet” there. Master movers are holding our things for “ransom” and this woman won’t play their games.
We have found out that Freedom Movers isn’t even an actual business but a P.O. Box. The owner is Thomas Moore 1381 Northside Drive. Ormond Beach FL. And is about 30 years old!! NO MILITARY BACKGROUND AT ALL!!
So maybe “Ian” is really Thomas??
Look to Facebook I’ve started a page about them and Master movers.
That is his linked in photoo.
Someone please help
Someone please help! Who do I call to report Freedom Express Moving company Kris and Paula Spencer lied and scammed us! How can I hold them accountable? Everyone report this company to Better Business Bureau so they are shut down!
Estimate extremely less than actual cost. Some items were damaged and missing shelves.
On 4/6 I booked with Freedom Express my moving from 44708 to 55921. I later found out that my move was subcontracted to Master Movers. Two of my items were damaged, and I can't seem to get any assistance. I feel I was overcharged. I was told I used more square footage, but who knows? Some of my items were shrink wrapped together which should have saved some square footage. My charge was much higher than the original estimate. I went with Freedom Express out of Florida because it is Veteran owned.
Account # is 3865030 with Freedom Express. Account is #194227 with Master Movers out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
They stayed within the parameters of…
They stayed within the parameters of the project's initial spending plan. Make a call to them before searching for a reliable moving company.
Once they get the money you get no more…
Once they get the money you get no more help from them. You call them and ask questions and they say they will call you back with the answer to your questions right after there meets is over and you never hear back from them. So you call again and now they’re upset you keep calling them. Never will use them again and I tell everyone
Ripoff Scammers
On February 16, 2023, I filled out an online form to get a quote for a move from the Atlanta area to the Tampa and St. Petersburg, FL areas. Kris Akin, one of Freedom Express's sales representatives, contacted me. I worked with him over the next month to get my estimate in order but advised him that until I got into my storage unit, I couldn't finalize and sign a contract. He told me (in writing) not to worry and begged for me to trust him, and that my contract said that whatever inventory I added would ONLY cost me an additional $3.29 per cubic foot. I told him my items would not fit into a standard box truck, and that one of my pickup locations and one delivery location could not accommodate tractor-trailers. He told me (in writing) they would send two box trucks at no extra charge. The night before my move, I had a "quality control" call with Richard from Freedom Express and told him I was adding an additional 202 cubic feet of cargo. At that point, he told me that the 202 cubic feet that were supposed to cost an additional $664 would now cost me an additional $1,450. I asked him how he came up with that number, and he started rambling on about how the front of the house needs their money and wouldn't give me a straight answer. At this point, I was at their mercy and forced to immediately pay.
Freedom Express sold my moving contract to A+ Moving and Storage. They showed up at my storage unit with two box trucks. One was a Penske rental truck that only holds 1,700 cubic feet. So then even though I was guaranteed two trucks at no additional charge, A+ refused to take my items until I paid them an additional $929.40. So my $8,538 move ended up costing $10,465. The items that did not fit on the 1,700 cubic foot box truck were put into storage and delivered via tractor-trailer two weeks later. Paula, their logistics coordinator called me to ask how my move went, and when I told her about the extra charges, and the tractor-trailers and told her I still hadn't received everything, she acted sympathetic and told me she would resolve it. At this point I had already gone and read other people's comments about her, so I was expecting to be ghosted. Then of course she ghosted me.
Advice: Do not go with any moving brokers. It is stressful, they lie, and it doesn't save you any money. The only reason I am giving two stars is that the delivery guys from A+ worked their behinds off and delivered everything without damage. We tipped them VERY well, as we didn't want to take our issues with Freedom Express out on them. Later I found out that one of the delivery men asked my 22-year-old son for a tip when we had already tipped him $200 (just for him).
