Don't dispute thru your credit card or you're sc___ed!

First, don't dispute a credit card charge. They will no longer communicate with you (even tho the app gives an error every time you try to cancel).
Second, even if you buy the yearly unlimited plan, they will charge you a $20 "Top Up" fee - without warning and NOT because you went over. And the "Top Up" fee expires and you have to keep on them when it does.
Third they will not return the fee if you cancel service.
They also randomly charge you when you try to cancel or downgrade, so I had a $35 and $20 charge which were refunded, but NOT the $110 when I cancelled 3 days after it was charged nor was I refunded the $20 "Top Up" credit.
The service itself was ok, lags and misbehaviour because it works thru an app, but worth $110 a year, and if they'd have been clear about the other charges and not wasted my time chasing credit, etc I would have been happy. My life is worth something, too.

SIM Card received, but No Activation yet.

Well, I can not say if the service is real, good or bad.
I'm not are able to use yet.
This because the Sim Card that I received is not present on their archive, so I can not activate.
And no way to talk with a real person, and no way to answer from their support website, they just answer with an automatic reply.
So... I have this Sim card and waiting to receive help to activate...
Don't make sense that a company don't provide support to new customers...
For now, the support is really 0, I hope to see this service in function soon.
Let me say that I have read a lots of people charged for no reason... I suggest to use Prepaid card, no risk if something happen.

Wish there was a 0 star option or even…

Wish there was a 0 star option or even negative. I was on 3gb plan and because of technical issues was unable to log on so downgraded service to"free". A complete joke, they charged me $36.97 for the monthly plan and next day charged$20.00 for a top up. If no data used why would I need top up. This is not the first time I have encountered double billing and am finding it impossible to cancel acct. Will be filing complaint with BBB. Do not and I repeat do not let them drag you in with free ads. Nothing free about it.

I was charged for service I did not…

I was charged for service I did not subscribe to and not used it at all and when I found out and requested the refund, it was refused. They said "We cannot refund and will be close to impossible for someone to subscribe to the bundle using your credit card". I am sure I did not subscribe to the said bundle as I was already 6 months into my contract with other mobile company with better network.

Keep away from this company.

Do not use it!

1. I canceled the service for both my wife and myself. Transferred the phone numbers to another service provider. They kept charging me for one more month and charged my wife for two more months.
Eventually I have to ask Paypal to block the charge.
2. You have to use their message application for phone calls. Very annoying.
3. There is no phone call service. You cannot talk to a real person for any kind of help.
4. My friends also have billing issues for double charges and could not resolve it for couple of months.

Scam!

Scam! They hide sneaky add on charges. Phone call quality is embarrassingly awful. Time and money suck. Too good to be true. Too awful to not be really angry.

I had a free hotspot plan for several months, had no issues with it.
Problem started when my account was suspended due to problem with payment method. I never went over 75% of allotted data usage and i had $20 in topup credit. There was no need to charge me for anything. My account is now closed and i want my $20 topup credit back.

Hi Bryan, sorry to hear you're having trouble! Though it is uncommon, it's possible that you may have received an Auto Top-Up credit in error. However, it is most often the result of reaching your plan's data threshold. Please reply to our private message so we can investigate and address any discrepancies.

Avoid freedompop!!!!

My account is deactivated for several months because they updated their network and I didn't purchase the new sim card. Recently I was chared for a service fee of $6.99. I immediately contacted Freedompop when I noticed my card was charged. But they said all payments are final and are not willing to issue a refund. My account has been inactivated for several months, which means I did not use any service at all (no call, no text, no data). It is ridiculous that an inactive account could be charged for any service fee. I think it is an abuse.

AVOID USING FREEDOMPOP!!!

Hi Yiling, if your account was part of our recent Sprint migration, your subscriptions with us should have been automatically canceled to prevent future charges. If any charges were incurred erroneously, you are certainly eligible for a refund. Please reply to our private message so we can take a look. Thanks!

Scam stay away from FreedomPop there is nothing free about them

If no stars was an option that's what they would get. i decided to try them for the free service but there was nothing free about it.first they tell you to do the 2 weekTrial and you can downgrade to the free plan but what they don't tell you which is what happened to me there was a $20 top up that you cannot opt out of and there was another $10 taken from my credit card when I reached out to Customer service which sucks i kept getting the same response from someone named Kevin and that there were no refunds an there was nothing that could be done i lost $30 and didn't authorize it

Hi Larry, we're sorry to hear you've had trouble with your account. A minimum of $2 credit is required on an account using our free plan, this is disclosed prior to checkout along with your subscriptions to ensure you're well informed. Though a $20 Top-Up is available, we have other options available well under $20 which still ensure you meet the $2 minimum requirement. Please reply to our private message if you feel there's been an error so we can take a look.

Scam company. Will charge your credit card left and right without your authorization.

They steal money from your credit card. I was charged $30 today with the reason of overage of data by 600 MB. Scammers. I am working with my credit card company to dispute the transaction. I asked to cancel my service which they said you need to do yourself and when you try to cancel yourself, it will take forever and meanwhile they can continue to steal your money by keep charging your card.

Also note that if you have any credit in your account but would like to close the account because they charge your card without your authorization, you lose the credit. They will not even refund credit. If your data is out for any reason, the default behavior should be to stop allowing user to use data until they purchase. Not just bill their card without authorization. Not knowing, one can get $100s bills.

ABSOLUTELY SCAM!

Hi MP, though usage beyond your plan is charged according to our Top-Up rates, a 600MB overage would certainly not result in a $30 Top-Up. You can view our Top-Up rates online through your account or find an in-depth breakdown at support.freedompop.com. Cancellation can be processed within seconds by logging into your account and selecting “Settings” > “Account Status” > “Cancel”. Please reply to our private message if you feel anything was left unresolved with your account so we can take a look.

[fraud company]This is the worst mobile carrier…

This is the worst mobile carrier company.
There is 4 reasons you SHOULD NOT use FreedomPop

1. Activation
Activation is weird. They required to install the preschool level application which I have to use the app to call and text, and you cannot use data without the app.
2. not able to receive and make calls
I live in Seattle area, I tried to call to my new freedompop number. But somehow, it could not receive and make a call to the others. So I called to helpline to solve the problem, nothings answered me.
3. Free but not Free
I used the promotion for first month free 2GB plan for free. But I decided not worth to change, I decided to change for free plan. but they charged $34.42 without any notification!
4. Customer service: Extinction
So I wanted to talk about unreasonable $34.42 charge. 3 days after, still no one replied me back, and no customer service number neither.

Conclusion
They only want to steal your money, but not provide proper service.
I recommend you not to use this carrier.
This is so freaking genius, clap for whatever thing make this business model.
