Charged us $1000 out of the blue with no communication

Used them to pay a Freelancer back in Jan who wanted to use this website. So I set up an account and was a bit hacked off that I got charged double what we had agreed at $400 instead of $200.
Did try and chase her up about why she had billed double the amount - but didn't hear back from her and forgot about it. After all she had resolved our issue.
I assumed that this was the contractor rather than the platform.
Then we were doing our VAT returns and noticed payments of $200 and $400 on our credit card from them.
I looked on our account with them, there was no contracts with Freelancers or any bills. There were no emails from them.
Tried to contact them - they only have a Chat service which said that they would email me back - but they haven't.
Have removed my payment details which was still on my account with the website and challenged the payments with our credit card company.
