My thoughts...

Having taken programming classes at university level and classes via Udemy I can truly say that Freemote is exceptional in its delivery and is clear in its representation of the material. What I enjoy the most is that these guys and gals really do care about your success. Do not be afraid to reach out to them for assistance and critiques to your code. This is what makes you better. To Aaron, Jan, and the rest of the crew I say thank you!

Worth 🙌

I am about 80% through the course, and I am happy with my purchase. While the course doesn't go in detail on every concept (which there are many free online resources for), it provides instruction in the most necessary areas of coding (HTML, CSS, JS) and explains how to apply those concepts through code-alongs and projects. Most importantly, the program provides advice and pointers on how to achieve success professionally, whether as a Shopify/e-commerce developer or applying for developer positions within a company. Lastly, I appreciate the frequent updates to the program (since the technology changes often), and the great assistance and support I've received from the instructors and TAs.

The course idea is great (ecommerce)

This is a great course.
The idea is awesome (ecommerce as a way to get into Web development)
The course is for all levels.
I really like its self-paced.
The videos are not too long or too short, so this helps keep you engaged.
When I asked for help, I received feedback (video recording) the very next business day and it was truly helpful (20 minutes long).

I highly recommend the course.

This is the best online avenue that I know of with a complete and step by step guide tailored to making you an e-commerce expert. The video lectures and projects are so structed the best format to take you from zero knowledge to top Freelance developer. Also the mentorship available is second to none. I am still in the process of completing the course, but so far I have greatly developed in knowledge and experience.

I've been taking the course for a few weeks and have gotten a great deal out of it.

One way this course stands out from other online courses I've taken is both the Facebook community and the personal attention one receives from the instructors and their assistants.

I would highly recommend the course to anyone getting their feet wet with HTML / CSS / Javascript and of course Shopify

Really amazing value for the money especially compared to other bootcamps. Very well rounded education that touches soft skills and of course all the necessary coding skills to achieve what the program claims to get you.

Not just a course, it's a community

Prior to joining Freemote, I'd taken numerous courses on web development. I'd heard suggestions to learn what people are hiring for, so I got 2 AWS certifications. I learned MySQL, data structures, React, TypeScript, Linux, etc etc etc. Nothing was helping me land a gig.

Here's where Freemote shines. It's not just some follow-along, code-by-numbers course. There's integrated challenges to help you prepare. There's feedback and reviews for your portfolio. There's *specific* instructions on how to get your freelancing profile set up, workflow, accounting, and more. There's an incredibly supportive Facebook group that includes helpful links, a job board and even a weekly Q&A session! They've taken feedback and quickly implemented upgrades and feature requests.

Aaron and Jan have created a great program with a great community. 12/10

2 weeks in and no regrets so far...

I'm 2 weeks in and so far the course has been great! I never imagined I'd be able to create professional looking web pages in such a short amount of time. Aaron has a background in teaching which is what I think differentiates this course from so many others out there. He understands that learning is a balance of knowledge, practice, and repetition. The course is structured so that there is an ideal balance of the three and the projects are challenging enough to reinforce the concepts without being so difficult that you get discouraged. Worth the cost of admission so far!

Aaron and Jan are some of the greatest…

Aaron and Jan are some of the greatest teachers I've had the pleasure to be taught by. The information in here provides everything you need to know to succeed as a freelancer, specifically as a Shopify a front-end developer. I landed clients on Upwork within weeks of taking the course, and after a few months I am now a Top Rated Upwork freelancer. It has to be emphasized though that they do not hold your hand (although are extremely responsive to any questions or feedback inquiries you have). You have to put your own effort in to succeed in this course - and it takes a lot out of you! In my opinion though, if you put in the work, it can be definitely worth it.

I’m on week one of Freemote

I’m on week one of Freemote. The program is great for me because it is self-paced and flexible. The material is filling in a lot of the gaps I had after completing three certificates on freeCodeCamp. Berk just reviewed my first big assignment. He went line by line telling me what was good and specific ways to improve my code. Overall the program provides clear and easy to understand instruction.

Excellent program!

I signed up for Freemote in the Spring of 2021, and have been super impressed. The course creators are friendly, knowledgeable, and are constantly updating and improving the program (which is going over and beyond imo). The course itself offers a money-back guarantee. I cannot speak from experience however, as I am nearly finished the program and have been having great success! From what I can tell though, now knowing the creators a little better, I am confident that they would honour it. Highly recommend Freemote!

Best programming course I have ever taken

I'll be honest. This course has blown my mind in many ways.

There's no course that can teach you everything you'll need to know, but the teaching methods of this course are the most effective out of all the courses I have ever taken to build a strong foundation.

For example, I've taken CSS courses before, but I've only truly started to understand CSS thanks to this course. I didn't feel waterboarded or overwhelmed with information, just the essentials. And with practice and video feedback from more experienced developers who review the code, my understanding of CSS is on another level. I had always been intimidated by CSS prior to this course, so this has been a bit of a surreal experience. I have had several such experiences throughout the course.

The philosophy behind how the course is structured is why it is such a unique experience. I won't bore with the details but the course is definitely worth more than every penny. It get full marks in my book.

All You Need and Nothing More

I used to follow Aaron Jack even before his Freemote BootCamp. His pragmatic approach to becoming a mostly self-made web developer is iron-clad. I say "mostly self-made" because the comprehensive and targeted material that you get in this program, along with the unparalleled support makes it seem like you have Aaron and his team over your shoulder everytime you get on that keyboard. The freemote team goes above and beyond in answering questions and teaching valuable lessons. I appreciate so much Kido and Berk's mentorship. It almost feels like I should not call this a BootCamp, it's more like a web development coaching program.
