Adam Barry-Orr the sales agent was very professional, knowledgeable, polite and friendly chap. He has made himself accessible to all the questions we had over the legal, local and French processes we had and pointed us in the right direction. He is very attentive and cares about his role.

Buying a property whilst being located 8000 km away is not easy, unless you can find a realtor that you can trust. Happy to say that Lindsay Howarth did a fantastic job giving support and advice for me as a buyer and I know she did the same for the seller. Every question I had was answered almost instantly. The main reason for our 5 star review is quite simple - Sian Maher! She was outstanding, a true professional, mentor, shoulder to cry on, IT teacher and all round general good person. Nothing was too much trouble for her, everything we asked of her, and we asked a lot, was dealt with in a friendly efficient manner which made the whole process very easy. She has got to be the number 1 estate agent in the La Tania, Courchevel area! if you are thinking of selling, or buying, Sian is your girl! Leggett offered competitive rates and their advertising and reach of potential clients was impressive. In conclusion if you are buying or selling in La Tania, Courchevel area Leggett is the company to go for and Sian is the person you must ask for!

Saveena, our estate agent in France, was amazing. She helped us through it all - especially as we cannot speak French (yet) - she was able to translate and communicate with the relevant people in our behalf from start to finish. We can highly recommend Leggett’s services when buying a property in France.

Perfect and very professional

Although we experienced some challenges regarding our sale due to a leak/insurance claim, Victoria Chavasse supported us throughout and went above and beyond to help ensure that the sale went through, she was always available and totally reliable

The necessary research about a longstanding servitude attached to the property was not carried out and wrong information was given, which we have had to try to sort out. Head Office refuses to answer the phone or respond to emails even when a formal complaint is lodged. Weeks and months go by without any response or even acknowledgment. Nothing. We consider this approach to be highly unprofessional and disrespectful, and we would not use this agency again either to sell or to buy from. We would advise anyone to avoid as well.

Agent Amanda Somerfield made the selling process easy. Any small problems were quickly sorted out either by herself or she knew the right people to contact to put things right.
It’s always difficult to deal with things that crop up when you have very limited French but Amanda was excellent in every way. Well done and many thanks, Amanda and Leggetts.

The information provided in the sale advert was one of the most comprehensive in both description, general information and the number of images supplied. The two agents (Helen Charlesworth and Vanessa Gray) selling the property were very forthcoming with any further information we requested. We were supported and guided through the purchase and most impressively the agents have been tremendously helpful following the purchase, helping us sort out the full range of necessities (water, electric, contact with Maire etc) needed to begin to settle into French life. We would highly recommend the company for anyone potentially selling a property.

The worse company we have ever dealt with! They lied to us through the whole process of selling our house costing us an extra £25K. The buyer eventually pulled out after applying for his Visa 3 times which we were unaware that he had been refused twice before and he got his 5000€ deposit back!!!
Head Office are absolutely useless, they don’t deal with complaints and pass you back to the regional idiot!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

TOTALLY USELESS, HAVE WASTED 12 MONTHS WITH THIS COMPANY . " IT'S NO WONDER I HAD NO VIEWINGS " THEY ADVERTISED IT WITH INCORRECT MEASUREMENTS - DO CHECK WITH THE AGENT HAS THE CORRECT MEASUREMENTS BEFORE COMMITING SIGNING THE MANDATE. THIS WAS ONLY NOTED AFTER INSTRUCTING NEW AGENTS !
I'm now going to use Le Bon Coin to sell property in France is commission-free for individuals because its core model is based on free classified ads for private sellers

I do not receive emails directly & have not been informed if my current address on documents that signed.No update? is this normal practice that the estate agent does not include everyone in the email rather than 1 person. I would prefer emails directly. Now have to receive codes to sign is this usual practice is docusign not possible again.

I was really happy with the service I received from Amanda Fellows at Leggetts. She was always available and kept me up to date with my sale. Excellent service would definitely recommend Amanda and Leggetts.

We have just completed on the purchase of our property in France and are looking forward to many holidays here soaking up everything French. The whole experience went so smoothly and with our agent Maggie who was with us every step of the way helping us register with the utility companies and gave us lots of useful advice on how to make the most of our time in France. We appreciated the tremendous help that Sarah Thacker our local Leggett’s agent gave us to sell our second home in France. She clearly outlined the entire process including all the necessary preliminary surveys that needed to be in place. Sarah’s excellent local knowledge,  her marketing strategies and professional advice and guidance  from start to finish of the sale made the whole process much easier for us.   Sarah promptly answered calls and emails, keeping us informed about every development.  Complex contract details that were in French were explained clearly which was invaluable. We have no hesitation to recommend Sarah Thacker and are glad we chose Leggett’s to sell our house.

We used this company twice- once to sell our property and then to attempt to buy another property. Absolute amateurs. These are not ‘qualified’ estate agents. They seem to run their individual businesses like a hobby, not taking into account how their incompetence affects people, mentally or financially. This company costs us upwards of €15,000 in lost sales and incompetence in our new purchase. It was so bad that we eventually purchased in Spain instead. Don’t touch them with a barge pole is my best advice. I had a French property for 10 years and you are much better off using a proper French estate agent.
UPDATES: Following this review being posted I have been contacted by Leggett to discuss the issues we had. I was listened to with patience and understanding. An apology was given and assurances given that the issues we had would be addressed.
