Frill is a really simple feedback, roadmap and announcements tool. It's quite easy to use and navigate since the UI/UX is beautiful, straightforward and not convoluted like others I've seen. Fri... See more

Frill'in Awesome Ideation Saas

I had started test driving a few ideation tools a couple of weeks ago to assess a fit for my need, and frill, thankfully was one of them. After testing and playing around with the tool for 2 weeks, we decided to jump on to frill.

What makes frill stand out from the other tools we reviewed was:
1. We loved its clean look and it accentuated the professional look that we were going for.
2. The ease of submitting ideas, and , merging them (decluttering without losing sight) was a spot on feature
3. Webhooks, none of the tools we reviewed came even close to this, the beauty being, you just need one webhook for all events, as opposed to one per event, and it does send the event type as a parameter that can be used to decide on the actions to take, how this helps is that we are planning to also have a bug board and any idea added to the bug board would essentially be a bug, and would land up on the right persons inbox. I did take the largest plan to help me keep that separate and for internal use, but as a test it worked flawlessly.
4. The announcements and the weekly digests are amazing, you get to see the traction that the roadmap is able to generate and assess on evident user expectations.
5. Although i might not use the whitelabelling, having it as an option sure is irresistable and hard to pass on.

and finally, had a word with their support too, to check how responsive they were, and i was pleasantly surprised with the speed of response. they were quite helpful with my request and now i have the tool connected with my google sheet as a backup log, any event that is triggered gets captured on the google sheet, and serves as a repository to review the ideas that were deleted or cleaned up due to a misunderstanding.

All in all a well thoughout, well laid and well priced tool which i believe is a gem.
