I have to leave this excellent review…

I have to leave this excellent review as a way of saying thank you for all that Frometech done for me yesterday. I spent all morning writing a document in word, around 20 pages when the machine crashed! Word could not recover the work and I was in tears. I phoned Frometech and they asked me to pop in with my laptop and within 10 minutes they had recovered everything. I am so glad I found you and wont be going anywhere else in the future. Thank you so much

Very un-professional and untrustworthy…

Very un-professional and untrustworthy company. Firstly I had to go back in because they did not have a Sony Vaio charge cable!! What computer repair shop does not have universal chargers!!
Secondly, I was given two prices, one for data recovery from a broken hard drive and one for a new hard drive to be supplied and installed.
I was telephoned to say that they could not even get the the old hard drive spinning to even start recovery.
When I went to collect my laptop they had replaced the hard drive with a new one which was great but charged me for the data recovery on top of this. I queried this and was given a very rude argumentative response and told I had to pay the full amount. All in all an unpleasant experience. Not recommended.

Thank you for your feedback. Firstly I am sorry for the apparent confusion with the charging. Just for clarity we replaced your faulty hard drive with a new one terabyte hard drive, reinstalled windows and ran all updates (all in a good couple of hours work) and only charged you for the new hard drive and for 1 hours labour on a fixed fee.

Not only that but when you came in and collected we gave you a 10% discount as way of an apology because of the confusion, that’s even after you had used bad language at a member of our staff.

I will talk with our staff to make sure our charging policy is made more clear to customers during the drop in process.

A frustrating experience

I had been having problems with my computer not switching on and so after trying (and failing) to sort the problem myself, decided to take it into Frometech.

After a couple of days with them, when I collected my computer while I was initially hopeful about the problem being sorted, when I got home I was disappointed to find that it wasn’t working for me. After about 3-4 visits to Frometech, they eventually managed to get the screen working only to find that there were still issues with it and I had to take it in again. In total, I had to visit Frometech around twelve times (without exaggeration) and my computer was with them for around a month in total before I decided to use another repair business. Not only was not having my computer for this period of time very inconvenient but having to go into the office the number of times I did (either to take in or collect the computer) was also very time-consuming and frustrating. On one particular occasion, I went to pick up the computer (as arranged) only to be told when I got there that it wasn’t ready. It would have been much better if I had been contacted by phone or email and told it wasn’t ready before I took time out to collect in.

The price of the services that they charge, though not extortionate, seemed on the slightly expensive side, particularly for fairly simple things that were carried out that even someone with limited PC knowledge could carry out fairly quickly and easily and for much less than the price they were charging.

My experience with Frometech on this occasion has not been brilliant in general, but I did feel the service offered by Mike who was working on the desk was really very good, both in person and on the phone which made a bad experience a little bit better.

Frometech is clearly a rapidly growing local company and their offices are very fresh and smart and this gives you confidence that they are a professional organisation.

Overall, my experience with Frometech was quite negative on this occasion and while I may consider using them again in the future for as I believe this was probably a rare one-off issue judging by the other reviews, I may still look at using other IT repair businesses locally.

Great service.

Needed a new laptop screen, phoned them and they done the rest, picked up and returned it as promised in time stated, no hidden extras, first class sevice, would recommend.

Fantastic value and expertise

Frometech has helped out our company on many occasions. They have been very prompt, helpful, honest and get the job done quickly and efficiently. From setting up new computers / servers to installing security cameras, nothing has been too much trouble. They have a wealth of knowledge and are great value for money. I could not recommend them more highly. They also have a very friendly manner. Thank you Frometech for all your hard work!

Thank you!

I met Jamie from Frometech at the company I work for during one of their visits. I was having problems with my mac which I mentioned to Jamie and we arranged a time for him to come round and fix.

He arrived on time and had all my problems solved and questions answered within an hour. Jamie was very patient with my silly questions and even showed me some tips I didn't even know about! I am now much more confident using my mac - Thank you

Quick service

They were able to return my laptop in 24 hours. I use my laptop for work, so this saved me time and money. Highly recommended

Fast initial service but no follow up

Frometech came out really quickly to help with a computer problem which was great. It turns out it was an issue with our broadband so some helpful suggestions were made. Promptly afterwards I was invoiced for a full hour call out, which stung a bit as it wasn't an hour and other than some suggestions nothing much was done but I accepted that this was the call out fee so paid right away.
During the call out I had enquired about some other services that Frometech offer and asked to be emailed over more info which never came. Needless to say I didn't chase this up as it would have been an ongoing contract and I wanted someone proactive.
Overall if I get stuck with an IT problem again I would call in an emergency but I might check some other companies out first.
