The ability to pay back and borrow as needed to help with my business.

Dear Sir or Madame,
I came to Fundbox looking for quick working capital to bridge a gap in receivables, drawn in by the promise of rapid approval based on my accounting software and bank history. While the process was indeed fast, the experience quickly devolved into a nightmare centered on opaque fees and a crushing repayment structure and looking at my earnings of $621,450 to justify increase warranted.
The initial offer seemed reasonable, but the true cost of borrowing became immediately apparent after funding. Fundbox primarily uses a "Factor Fee" model, which is effectively interest disguised as a one-time fee, but the annualized percentage rate (APR) is astronomically high when you factor in the incredibly short repayment windows—often just 12 or 24 weeks.
Key Issues & Red Flags:
Opaque Pricing and Cost Creep: The way the Factor Fee is presented makes it extremely difficult to compare the true cost against a traditional loan or even other lines of credit. What looks like a manageable 7-9% fee for a short term quickly translates into a suffocating cost of capital.
Aggressive Weekly Repayments: The weekly repayment schedule is relentless. Even a small cash flow dip can make these fixed payments a massive burden, often forcing small businesses into a continuous cycle of re-borrowing to cover the payments on the existing loan—a dangerous debt trap.
Customer Service Black Hole: When issues arose regarding repayment dates or understanding the complex fee structure, getting a hold of a responsive, knowledgeable human was nearly impossible. The support felt entirely automated and unhelpful, leaving me scrambling to resolve issues that threatened my business standing.
Qualification Bait-and-Switch: I received initial pre-qualification for a higher amount, only to have the final approved amount drastically cut with little explanation, all while retaining the high-fee structure.
Conclusion:
Fundbox is designed for speed, not for sustainable business finance. If you absolutely need emergency cash and are 100% certain you can pay it back within the very short, inflexible terms, it might work. However, for serious working capital needs, the fees and the aggressive repayment timeline make this a dangerous option. I strongly advise exploring other lenders with transparent APRs and more flexible repayment plans before subjecting your business to the Fundbox model.

Initially, the Fundbox line of credit was helpful in supporting my business expansion as I neared the completion of a project that would boost my monthly revenue by $5k. However, the line was suddenly reduced without prior notice, leaving me unable to make necessary arrangements. I was already working with a limited line from my original request and having it lowered further was completely unexpected.

Jerrod C. on the payment team has been top notch! He has been willing to work with our company with all the ups and downs. He always follows though with what he says, and is constantly looking for new ways to assist. In addition all the other members on the team, that I've encountered have been very professional and helpful as well!
