Scammers, looking after your money, hiding behind org/gov status

Scammers, phishing, chasing your money. They hide behind the org/gov status, but they seek profit. I had a letter from them and got in touch, but they said my boiler is fine. Recently, they tried to sell solar panels to me and called me a lot of times. When I asked about any help they said the gov stopped funding them so they have only paid options... Now they are calling again to offer good price on boiler replacement while they said my boiler is efficient in a recent past...

Fishing expedition?

Had a letter that looks very much like it's from a government agency. However, it's not personally addressed and is quite vague. Seems like it's simply an attempt to get you to make contact and divulge personal information. Implies you're entitled to a grant, but doesn't mention eligibility criteria is restricted to certain benefits claimants only.

Trickery?

Had a letter saying that my property meets criteria for funding. Possible £10,000.00 - £20,000.00. They ask me to phone 01773 417597. 01773 is my locality. They say my property details have been added onto their system. Probably trickery. I’ll try to get my property removed from their system. I have now (16:16 on 8 September 2025) a response saying that what I have received is not from Energy Funding Service. I have the letter in front of me now. It is headed "Energy Funding Service". Information on the letter indicates that it is not actually from Energy Funding itself but another organization. Makes me wonder of the real EFS approves. Today. 7 October 2025, I have had an email asking for more details. Can't imagine what I might add. Thye can ask questions if they want, rather than comment.
