Awful

Awful, did not tell us when my father in law was moved from the hospital morgue, for him then to be moved hour and a half drive from us when he was moved, was not made aware of hidden charges ( visiting him in chapel of rest and having him dressed in his own clothes. ) wanted £300 for this.
No funeral director nothing.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
I purchased a Cremation Only Package from them for the sum of £999 in July which INCLUDES the sum of £300 for "collection of the deceased from the address provided". They then charged me £300 a second time for the same service, which they list under "Additional Costs". They also charged me an additional £168 for a larger coffin, because my husband was "over 6ft 2 inches, as his feet were pointing forwards". His height was also given to me by the company on 3 seperate occassions as, 6ft 2 inches / 6ft 4 inches and then 6ft 6 inches! They also changed his weight on 3 seperate occassions, the last being 87 kilos! When queried, I was informed that it was because "his weight included the weight of the trolley he was on! They gave no confirmation of his height just "that's what he measures we checked 3 times". My research informed me that a Standard UK coffin accomodated a body of 6ft 8 inches tall! Sally Howarth Director, refuses to either acknowledge or accept this. The Coroner's Office advised that I inform The Funeral Plan Market to adjust my husbands body to fit in the coffin if necessary and added that Funeral establishments know that this is normal practice. Interestingly, the Post Mortem recorded my husband's height as 186cm [6ft 1.2228 inches] and his weight as 49 kilos [7.72 stone].
Still Sally Howarth refuses to accept or acknowledge these official recorded details. They are not going to return / refund any monies they owe me due to their dubious business practices and flatly refuse to acknowledge their mistakes. In short they should be avoided at all costs. I hope that this review will help others.

Stay away! Very aggressive tactics

At first I was very complimentary of this business but that all changed very fast. I had been dealing with the death of of my father and due to lack of money on the families side we had to use the DWP scheme that helps pay for funerals. After believing this was all dealt with I took a week to myself to regroup after the funeral and finally grieve my father.
During this week I pretty much ignored all calls (something most would understand). Once my week was over I got round to returning all calls. This is when I noticed emails saying DWP had still not yet made payment.
Before I could call funeral plan market back I got a call from a mobile number (I thought this may be someone I had been dealing with there so I answered, but it was not it was the business owner). I answered the call and she introduced herself and I explained my week and that there was a hold up with DWP re paperwork (something I had read on one of my messages re this) but that my mum had sent it off already. This is when the owner started threatening me saying I had 24 hours to pay the money the DWP already said they would pay or she would take legal action against me. After a few choice words I ended the call and then wrote a complaint. To my horror the person I complained about replied with further threats of legal action. The unprofessionalism of being the person to reply to the complaint about you is not good business practice was lost on them obviously. I replied pointing out she would waste money taking me to court over this as the DWP had told them and us they would defiantly pay this money. She sent no further email in response to this, did not get anyone else to follow up as requested. She did get her staff to hound me daily for a letter that the DWP would send to confirm payment has been made (something that arrived with us AFTER the payment arrived with them) but no further threat came after it was obvious I was not vulnerable enough to fall for these tactics. I could not believe the treatment and after checking the owners name on company house I see she has had to dissolve 15 companies in the past and some of which loan companies, this at least shows where the bullying debt collector behaviour comes in. They have made a very difficult time even worse and the owner is the most unprofessional bully I have ever had to deal with. Please avoid like the plague if you have to take DWP help because they act all understanding but are not if there is any delay in payment.

Absolutely do not use

Absolutely do not use. Nasty, unsympathetic, over inflated prices, demanding money and to cap it all, they literally tried to defraud my dead father out of £500 when I cancelled the policy. They are operating barely within the law. Avoid at all costs.

High pressure sales tactics

I was also phoned within an hour of visiting their website ( I wasn’t aware I’d given them permission to call me, thought they were like other comparison sites who would email me quotes). I was rushed through details of a funeral plan and then put under great pressure to buy immediately, with the reassurance that I could cancel later under cooling off period. I declined but they insisted on phoning me next day and when I ignored that call, called again on a different number.

Don't use if you care about your loved…

Don't use if you care about your loved ones because they don't. Made a complaint to the Director Sally Howarth who did not even have the courtesy to respond.
Personal Funeral Planner, Bridget did not respond either
Completely uncaring - go elsewhere

Don’t touch these people

Don’t touch these people, they are exactly as the other reviewers say. Very pushy very rude. They give false information. I’m very worried that that some poor soul will succumb to their bullying.

Aggressive, Pushy & Undignified

My experience echoes the other reviewers. Within two hours of visiting their website - and yes, they do require you to enter your email and mobile number to proceed - they started bombarding me with emails and phone calls. I never made an enquiry or asked them to contact me, simply looked at some companies (none of which I’d heard of) and prices.
Within a couple of seconds I decided that I didn’t trust them and wouldn’t use them.
Then the calls and emails started...
The first number they used used was: 0800 689 0428
I blocked that so they continued calling from a mobile number that I also blocked: 07585 048795
The email they used was: (not allowed on Trust Pilot)
The email stated that if I wanted them to stop contacting me then I to make a request in writing.
I wouldn’t use them and advise others not to go anywhere near their website - undignified and aggressive conduct when people might be at their most vulnerable.

Don't even look at their website.

As already stated in another review. Don't touch this company. They phoned me within 20min of my online comparison search. They claim that entering your phone number and email address in voluntary, it's not.

"When you use our service you have the option to provide your telephone number and email address. It is optional for you to provide this information" LIE

This is not a company you can trust. Stay away.

Cold calling

Cold calling, harassing, persistent, calling from various numbers. Selling funeral plans with an icy cold attitude and exceptionally pushy at such a sensitive time. They have been phoning daily. Keep saying I’m not interested. From the way they conduct themselves it could be a scam.
