Hi I recently bought an auto mono tub from funguys , when I first bought and paid for the item I had no confirmation email , this could have been my fault as it used my Gmail account which I don't really use . However I still had no confirmation email in that account. After trying to contact them all as the money had gone from my bank account, I didn't get a reply about a week and half after I got reply saying emails must have gone in my spam which they had not . Anyway item arrived few days after . ok packed I've seen the same plastic build up tub on eBay for £30 ISH still not a problem thought I'd still give it ago and run it next to some of myself built tubs . After building it up and setting up , there is very limited information on how to use it . The heater and humidifier which looks like a 3d printer build .wouldn't say great quality never the less it looked like a different approach 😊 to heat mat ect . After setting it up , item just does not maintain set values . The humidity goes up and down doesn't keep constant humidity and much of the same with the temperature . I've tried all week to get response from funguy but still haven't had a response the only correspondent I've had is to say that they updated my email . Now this wasn't cheap at £180 I'm not really one to moan but been a Yorkshire man I don't like to feel ripped off but I gest I do right now it just doesn't work thanks Gaz . I'm updating the review , funguys have got in touch and explained a few things to rectify the problems I'm having with the mono tub this will hopefully get it up and running 😊

Mr Funguy has been great, customer support, spot on, I bought a flow hood, tracking, delivery and packaging all superb. Flow hood is well thought out and designed beautifully, perfect for me as a mycology hobbyist.

Great experience, products arrived undamaged and in working condition, which is saying a lot since it’s halfway across the globe! I only took 1 star off because it took about 2 weeks before shipping and the international tracking is a bit of a guessing game once it’s in the US. The purchase came with instructions and nice quality acrylic sides. Overall, would shop again!

Invoice nº 1777, 03/09/2025 — XL Flow Hood. We followed the seller’s return instructions exactly (carrier, address, RMA, packaging, deadline). We also paid import VAT and return shipping. Despite this, the €400.71 refund has not been issued.

We purchased a filter that arrived damaged, with the extractors incorrectly fitted. We paid import VAT upon entry and also had to cover the return shipping costs. Despite repeated follow-ups, you have still not refunded the €400 we paid. I feel cheated.

I purchased a large flow hood. This is a well-made, well-designed, and well thought out product. The way all the pieces go together is awesome. It is lightweight and easy to pack away. I have used it several times so far for mycology work using sterile agar and have made about 40 samples in front of it and they are all clean and contaminant free.

Before purchasing and after receiving it, I had questions and Donald responds promptly and is very helpful. The product ships from the UK and I'm pretty sure he makes these himself. It took a few weeks to get to me, but considering it's a handmade product, it ships from the UK, and it's a decent size package that's a pretty reasonable amount of time. It showed up well packaged and undamaged.

This is an excellent product at a great price for home mycology enthusiasts.

Great flow hood. When I started this hobby 10+ years ago, I would never of dreamed of owning such an affordable well built cabinet. My agar has never been cleaner 🤟👽

This product actually works very well! I love that the fan has different speeds you can adjust to, it makes a little noise but it works absolutely great, also passes the lighter test. It was very simple to put together and to be honest you can't beat this price for what it is and how useful it is. Highly recommend.

I was happily shocked at how good this cheap unit is, only used once so far but made dozens of transfers that are all clean, I used to be about 50/50 with SAB. Also the seller sorted out a delivery error without any fuss and refunded a missing part on request so good trader too.

All went well. The product is good, but expensive for the quality. It does the job, though, and there are not a lot of cheaper alternatives.

I really like all the support given, sometimes they might take a bit longer to reply. I've ordered the flowhood tested it yesterday and it works fine.
