My experience with Gaurdsman I can say…

My experience with Gaurdsman I can say I poor
My corner sofa from Dfs has had lots of faults the chair cover has faded and the paint has come off of the sofa arm the usb is broken.
I claimed for these jobs to be fixed in October and November 2025.
I have been told when the parts arrive the jobs will be done in fact the parts was supposed to be in Jan feb March April and now may it’s like how long is a piece of string.
It feels like the repairs are on forever delay I’ve been to cab to get advice.
I am very disappointed with Gaurdsman and hope they will try to get another supller.
Help me Gaurdsman please.
I don’t recommend this company.

Not fit for purpose

I took out extended warranty including electrical parts. USB portal stopped working. Made a claim and they sent out a “technician” he said “it’s a usb I’ve just to take pictures and send them back someone will be in touch” I waited 2 weeks and went onto portal claim closed no communication. Called them and they said usb port not covered. Not sure why this is not explicit in policy, why they would accept the claim and send a technician out and why the technician wouldn’t tell me that during his visit (that I waited in for 4 hours for). Policy says electrical components are covered. Formal complaint pending. Don’t buy this cover it’s a scam.

This company is an absolute disgrace. We have had two claims rejected in our faulty furniture. Fobbing us off with its wear and tear when clearly its not. I wouldn't recommend this company if my life depended on it. It just feels like a scam and they're just fleecing hard working people who think they're doing the right thing getting protection of their product. DON'T USE THEM!! Wish I could've given them no stars at all

THIS COMPANY,S AFTER CARE IS A COMPLETE JOKE!!!!

We had a bad experience with this company, when it took 6 weeks to have a peace of a chair replaced,so we made a complaint which was upheld, and they offered a amount of money as compansation, which was to be payed emediatly into our account, and of course it did not!!,so I like rang to see what had happened to be told it would take another 5 to 10 working days to clear, and you can imagine what happened, yep it was not paid,so we were told it would be payed emediatly, only to be told it had been sent to the çreditor,s!!!, this, company,s after care is disgusting!!!.

Tried to submit a claim

Tried to submit a claim, got an email saying someone would be in touch within 5 working days. After 10 I went looking back at the claim portal to find my claim had been rejected (no email to tell me). Their communication is appalling and from reading other reviews it seems rejected claims is the norm !

You wont be surprised to hear that this

You wont be surprised to hear that this company is a con.
They happily take your £300 extra payment for an extended 15 years guaranteed but when you claim surprisingly they turn around and say that part is not guaranteed.
DO NOT TAKE OUT THE EXTRA GUARANTEE

Very poor service

Very poor service. Waited over 6 weeks for an appointment to fix a scratch on a high gloss coffee table. Had to chase twice. Eventually someone came to fix it and said he doesn’t do high gloss coffee tables, so he has to write a report which will take up to 10 days to be reviewed and I will be contacted with an outcome. Even though Guardsman knew it was a high gloss coffee table that needed a repair! I wrote and complained and 4 weeks on have received a letter to say they haven’t been able to provide an answer to my complaint and it will take them up to a further 28 days to investigate. That will be almost 3 months! UPDATE: 15 days since the technician came to my house and I’ve just received an update from Guardsman that they have just received the technician’s report and will respond within 5 working days! This company is a joke. UPDATE: I received a notification that the table cannot be repaired and Guardsman will compensate by refunding the cost of the table. I called to provide my bank details, to be advised it takes up to 10 days for the payment to be processed. So that will take it to almost 3 months since my original claim. I still haven’t received a response to my letter of complaint!

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service, shame DFS didn't direct us to this site before taking our money for an insurance policy. Very ignorant people who do not respond, blatantly lie and ignore emails. We have damage to a sofa cover and I initially asked if I could buy a replacement if it was not covered by the policy. This request was ignored. My partner paid for the sofa (£1200)approx and the woman I spoke to OFFERED to add my name to the policy as I was the one available to contact. This is obviously untrue. My emails are ignored, the Portal access request after filling in a registration details three times has been ignored and apparently we were supposed to hear from a technician WITHIN five working days which even including the weekend and Bank Holiday time is up. They are very clever stating once you put in a claim you cannot cancel the policy, we'll don't bother putting in a claim as they then ignore you therefore having taken your money under false pretence
We are very, very angry and will finding out which ombudsman to contact regarding this. Meanwhile this is a warning not throw a large chunk of your hard earned cash in this dreadful company's way. You might as well burn it and the policy with it.Edit Strange coincidence, just actually recieved an email from guardsman staring the policy holder can access their portal, well, seeing as THEIR member of staff offered to add me to the policy and I cannot access it that is a rather concerning response from them..

❌ Poor Experience with EZ Living &…

❌ Poor Experience with EZ Living & Guardsman Service ❌

I purchased a sofa from EZ Living Interiors and also paid €250 for a sofa cleaning service (“Fabric Dry Cover Recliner Top-Up”) that was offered at the time of purchase.

When I tried to use the service, I was told it’s handled by a third-party company called Guardsman — but they’ve been completely unreachable. I submitted the request form weeks ago and have heard absolutely nothing back. There’s no working phone number and no way to follow up.

I reached out to EZ Living customer care, and they refused to help, saying it’s not their responsibility. I strongly disagree — they sold the service, and under Irish consumer law, they are legally responsible for what they sell.

I’ve now filed a complaint with the CCPC (Competition and Consumer Protection Commission) and am preparing a Small Claims Court case.

I’m sharing this to warn others — be extremely careful about purchasing add-on services from EZ Living. You may never receive what you paid for.

Scam company!

Our then 1 year old boy scribbled over part of our 5 month old sofa in Biro and we have Guardsman protection - Guardsman will not repair the damage as they say it was done over a period of time and allowed to accumulate before reporting… the pen marks are clearly the same pen and it’s obvious to anyone that it was done in the same incident. I have since reported Guardsman to The Financial Ombudsman and we are awaiting their next steps. I am also currently going through a complaint and investigation with DFS, as we purchased the insurance with Guardsman through them, and DFS are investigating the case.
If you read other reviews you will find an almost identical complaint to ours time and time again… avoid this company.

Fobbed off.

Nothing but issues with the policy we took out with furniture village. Furniture village are cowboys and obviously so are guardsman. We’ve been waiting months for one sofa cover to be delivered. We’re now over a month over the delivery date given, the team are really unhelpful when we ring to chase and they said it was just an estimate so nothing they can do. I’ll keep updating this site when I can until the issue has been resolved to warm as many people off them as possible.

Had a visit from a very rude technician today. He told me my king size bed was small, made other very rude comments, did an "independent" inspection of the mattress for @leelonglands (who have also been terrible) and said there was nothing wrong, even though you can see that the side walls have collapsed after only 1 month. Do not trust a) guardsman, b) leelonglands and definitely do not purchase a @hypnosbeds Hypnos mattress.

Sofa discontinued and wowcher is no use

I I had a really bad experience with this guardsmen insurance company. I bought my sofa from DFS which was two seater sofa bed and the three seater sofa bed after a year my two seater sofa got damaged and I contacted the guardsman company so they tried to fix a few times but They were not able to do it properly so they eventually offered me the voucher of £1800 towards my two seater sofa bed and when I went to order my two seater sofa at the same one from DFS they said they told me that it has been discontinued so I wasn’t able to use wowcherfor the sofa and I am trying to use that voucher towards something else like other furniture in my house, but Guards man as we not been very helpful at all they’re refusing me to use the wowcher towards other things in my house they say to me that I have to use it towards the sofa no matter what so now I don’t have enough money to buy a two seater and a three seater altogether for my living room or I can’t just go and get one two seater which has been damaged and make because I don’t have the same one available anymore so I can’t have two different sofas in my living room which makes me in a position where this voucher is not used to me at all so guardsman is so unfair and not helpful at all just say this company is really. Bad. Because I know I’m stuck with the £1800 voucher for DFS and I’m unable to use it for anything else and I’m feel very restricted as I’m unable to even purchase just be like that’s a voucher feels useless to me at this point because I’m unable to use it as a sofa originally have has been discontinued from the DFS brand and I am unable to purchase anything else apart from DFS apart from a sofa and I feel very restricted in this matter.
